Bit disappointed with phone call quality.
Very impressive noise cancelling, however, touch control and phone call quality disappointing.
Touch control is a bit hit and miss, performance of microphone during phone calls was the reason I gave it 4 stars.
Since I bought these from Amazon, I have the opportunty to return them till the end of January. Not sure at this stage that I will keep them. By the way, I paid $399 for them.

Good experience of immersion but..
great noise canceling.
But The product is a bit heavy, when i listen in my room or in my bed, thats when i find it uncomfortable. not made for sports, or running.
another annoying point is when you leave the headphone on your neck, your cheek is touching the pad and starts to shuffle music when you dont want to.
the last bad point is that is to hard to connect to two separate devices at different time,
for example, when i pair it with my laptop, and a want to switch it with my cell phone, i have to turn off the Bluetooth from the laptop first. which is annoying if you have it a bit away from your range.

Pretty good but my podcast listening experience isn't as glowing as most of the other reviews. Might
I purchased these headphones after a work colleague recommended them and then i had a look at several online reviews and comparisons with the Bose QC35 and the Sennheiser PXC550

to block outside noise. However, I found that I had to turn the volume too high to understand what was being said on my podcasts and my ears were starting to ring after using them for which I understand is not a good sign. Time to look for alternatives before I screw-up my hearing. I love wearing wireless headphones as it frees you from a cord getting snagged on something or having to roll them up when not in use. The convenience and freedom of going wireless with headphones far outweighs any quality degradations or audio lag when compared to corded headphones for me. I have been a big fan on Sennheiser as we regularly use and have been incredibly impressed with the sound quality and build construction of the Sennheiser RS 120 II. These are great watching for TV in the living room which is adjacent to the kids bedrooms so they can rest without TV noise interrupting their sleep.Similar opinion? SONY Makes the Best Even Better
Sony has been nipping at the heels of the Bose Quiet Comfort for the last few years. Some critics have now put them ahead. (To be fair, both brands make excellent noise cancelling headphones) I had a pair of the MDR 1000X but was quite keen to try the new upgrade. Yes they're excellent, as promised by reviews I'd read. Absolute silence on a 'plane or a noisy gym. An added bonus is the switch to the new Type C charging cable which is much better for convenience and speed. You can also add a cable, if necessary for wired listening.

Good headphones for travel or the office
These headphones tick a lot of boxes, and I've found them to be great for travel (airplane/train/bus) as well as use in the office.
Sound quality:
Excellent, particularly if you have an aptX enabled bluetooth device. Clear audio, with a bit more bass than other headphones I've used, even more-so when the noise cancelling is enabled. Note, you can enable this on a Macbook Pro and it makes a big difference if you have a Mac.
Noise cancelling:
As good as the Bose QC25 I had used previously, but these Sony headphones are wireless so a lot m...Read more

Sony wh-1000xm3 Poor Service and Communication, Phone Sound sucks
I bought the headphone (Sony wh-1000xm3) from Harvey Norman Caringabh NWS. Though ANC was the best but voice on the phone was terrible. Whenever I started dialing, the outside noise amplifies 2, 3 times that I had to bear but the person on the other end of the phone wouldnt hear anything or would barely hear me. Sometimes the other end would complain 'ringing bells' around me. I had to be very very loud to be hearable.
I called the Sony Customer Center, they advised to take it to Harvey Norman. I took it Harvey Norman they took it ( saying d...Read more

Best on the market for overall spec
I've owned these for about 2 months now and they're amazing. The ANC is next level and better than the Bose in my opinion. I can wear them in a loud gym and they block all the other noise out. I've only experience a couple of small issues which are related to using them with my TV, they can glitch in sound every now and then, but that could be a TV playback issue too. Can't go past the battery life for these, i charge them about once every 2 weeks.

My Favourite Travelling Headphones
At the time of writing, the Sony MH-1000XM3 have only been out on the market for three weeks and already lives up to all the pre-launch hype and raving reviews on the internet. I had a 7.5 hour international flight coming up and knew that that would be an excellent opportunity to test the comfort of the headphones and its noise cancelling capabilities.
After reading so many impressive reviews of the Sony WH-1000XM3, I was convinced to buy a pair even though I'm not a huge fan of over-ear headphones. I have found most uncomfortable to wear ...Read more
over extended periods due to the heat buildup and pressure on the ears. So I have opted to sacrifice sound quality (of over-ear headphones) for the comfort and wearability of in-ear, noise-cancelling buds. I purchased a silver model (not white) which comes in a silver padded case that houses the (folded) headphones, USB-C charging cable and 3.5mm to 3.5mm phone cables (if you need to use a wired connection). There are only two buttons on the bottom of the left hand ear speaker, one for power on/off and the other for switching off noise cancelling/ letting in ambient sounds. Both unobtrusive and easy to use. Pairing via Bluetooth (4.2) worked extremely well and range is good and even indoors. The headphone gives you an audible "power on and bluetooth connected" voice prompt when connected. The headphones worked flawlessly as I walked in and out of rooms at a range of at least 10 m. But what really impressed me the most was how comfortable they were to wear. I put them on an hour into my flight from Singapore to watch a movie on my iPhone and basically left them on for over 4 hours. A record for me ! The sound quality was excellent but the noise cancellation was absolutely superb. I left them on even after my 2 hour movie to drown out the endless drone of the engines and cries of neighbouring babies. I have even worn them in my TV room to watch my own show on my iphone while the TV was on. In the four hours, I did not have to do my usual "headphone shuffle", adjusting each ear cup to either cool off my sweaty ears or relieve the pressure from the ear cups pressing on my ears. Simply amazing! I also downloaded the Sony "Headphone" app from the AppStore which lets you connect to the headphone to customise and adjust some of its settings such as enabling "adaptive sound control". This feature automatically detects your activity such as travelling, walking, and waiting, then adjusts ambient sound settings to you. You can also run a "Noise Canceling Optimizer" which analyses the wearing condition such as your face shape, hair style, and presence or absence of eyeglasses to optimise the noise cancelling performance. Sony recommends that you perform this function when using the headset for the first time. The App also allows you to optimise the headphones due to changes in air pressure e.g. 1.0 atmospheres at sea level and 0.8 atmosphere when cruising at 30,000 feet. This is a pretty cool feature but I didn't really discern any noticeable difference. The other settings you can adjust include sound position and turn on/off surround sound and equaliser, auto power on/off and a few more options. The one area I have not tested is the sound quality and microphone quality in receiving and making calls from my smartphone. I will update this review after I have had the chance to do this. Although quite expensive, these have quickly made me a convert of "over-ear” headphones With noise cancelling to boot. The Sony MH-1000XM3 sound quality is comparable to the best in this class but its comfort factor and noise cancelling capabilities are what sets it above the rest. These are now my favourite travelling headphones now and I won't leave home without them.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

May be good but does not work on all of my devices, just some
I was expecting something better from Sony and seriously for the price, these headphones are not reliable. OUt of my 5 devices, I could only connect and run it on my laptop. When I connect to the All in one computer with a big screen that I wanted to use to watch content everything freezes and also takes time to connect. It is not a thing for everyone and does not work on all devices.

Awful phone call quality/ poor app.
Purchased Sony wh-1000xm3 headphones last weekend from jbhifi, so after a week of use here is my review.
Sound quality is excellent, noise cancelling is very good, build quality seems to be adequate so far, comfort is very good.
One glaring fault with these headphones is making phone calls, a function of the headphones that is important to me, every call I have made the other party says I sound like I'm in an echo chamber and background noise is way too much, to the point that they asked me to call back not using the headphones, also the ap...Read more

Great Noise Cancelling
Upgraded from Bose QC15, was tossing between this and the Bose QC35II. Overall, the noise cancelling was superior than the Bose and got better features such as cupping the R cup and instantly let ambient sounds in especially voices. Comfort wise, Bose still is lighter and slightly more comfortable.
Overall, very happy with the purchase, but if have already had the Bose QC35II I wouldn't upgrade to this since there's not too much difference between the two.

Probably the best NC headphones money can buy
Improvements on the previous model.
Comfort is much better. I can wear for hours now.
A bit better sound
Touch control much better. Will now only activate with touch. No more accidental activation when rubbed against any surface like what happens with the M2.
App is better with NC timing.
Voice notification tell actual battery percentage remaining. Not just high, medium low.
The same as previous model.
