We are happy with our Sphere 3kg machine, however regularly on the first use of a trip when filling it produces approx half a litre of dirty water, which is a little frustrating. Has anybody else experienced this? And if so, was it able to be rectified or is it just a peculiarity of the brand?

Hi Shelley yes we replaced our smaller Sphere with a 3.3kg. It is probably best to have it professionally installed though. If you are in Brisbane Jason from RV Gas Services is excellent phone 0414625968. Good luck.

Thankyou that’s what I think as well, just convincing my husband it’s not that easy. We are in Hobart, our local installer is Kings, I have booked. Hubby thought why give away a few hundred dollars for instal, when “ how hard can it be “ lol thanks again.

how do you remove the lid on 3 kg model

Lid easily broken and probably the weakest part of the whole machine. A new lid is available on line for around $10. To remove lid there the square white plastic hinge piece/plug on the right hand side has to be slid out toward the centre of the machine. Lid can then be lifted of LHS. Take note of how the spring fits on the RHS hinge as well. I was unable to work that out bu t spring doesn't appear necessary anyway.

My sphere isn't taking in water?

It is most likely a faulty solenoid valve or a fault in the electrics suppplying power to that valve. Water level switch could also the problem.

My 3.0kg Sphere keeps turning off after about 2 minutes then when I get it going it stops after 1 minute then I can't get it started for about an hour. Then I start the whole process again. Any ideas anyone?

I have not experienced this problem, sounds like an overload switch problem on the motor. Either faulty switch or faulty motor overheating etc. Assume your power supply is up to scratch.
Our Sphere machine runs on the generator power, not like some other brand machines that require pure sinewave power only.

Thanks Rex, I've spoken to some people who are saying a similar thing. I'll get it looked at by an expert.
