Hi, I’m interested in buying a Spinaleze pillow. However I’m a person of short stature (157cm). I predominantly sleep on my side but shift to my back too. Would you still recommend the medium profile pillow? Or would a low profile or even the child pillow (which I’ve had to purchase in other brands before) be best? Thanks.

Dear Tikers,
Thank you for your email.
Great question ... start of with the Spinaleze low profile pillow for about a year so your spine can align gently then progress to the Spinaleze Medium profile pillow .
There is a curve in the neck called the cervical lordosis develops at young age and maintains throughout.
This taken into account into developing the Low Spinaleze profiles.
The Spinaleze material is a special unique patented aerated material made in Sydney that allows the air cells to squish and conform to the curvature of the lordotic neck
Generally when choosing the Spinaleze pillow go with measurements of your height (see our website Spinaleze.com.au), but in your unique circumstances start of with the Spinaleze low profile pillow .
Just remember whatever position your start to sleep in the Spinaleze will provide you with the support you need to stay in that position throughout the night.
There are two parts to the Spinaleze pillow which are important :
1. Researching and developing here in Australia the one of a kind UNIQUE LUXURIOUS MATERIAL (this MUST be right for it to work on the Spine).
2. Engineering the pillow shape for MAXIMUM SUPPORT (this also MUST be right for it to work on the Spine).
Let me know if I can be of further help
Thanks,
Toby

Hi there. I am a side sleeper and have severe arthritis of the neck, spine and shoulders. I am finding I wake up a lot on and off through the night and often wake with a headache. Would you suggest the Spinaleze Medium Pillow as the pillow of choice for me? Thank you.

SpinalezeSpinaleze
Dear Denise,
Thank you for your email.
Arthritis can cause anyone a lot of pain ... i feel for you .. and hopefully i can help.
There is no comparison to the UNIQUE Spinaleze pillow see reasons below
What customers/patients don’t realize is that they need to support the distance between the tip of their shoulders to the side of their neck when sleeping on the side.
Otherwise the neck will be in a consistent kinked position all night and you will toss and turn all night to try and find a comfortable position !!!
The Spinaleze pillows have been thoroughly a) RESEARCHED and b) CLINICALLY TRIALED ON PATIENTS over a decade to get the perfect support and luxurious comfort for your Spine.
There are two parts to the Spinaleze pillow which are important :

I fall asleep on my back and change positions equally between back and side throughout the night.
I am 6 foot in height, female with fairly broad shoulders. Struggling to determine what pillow height to get?

Hi - I don’t work for Spinaleze. Give their Customer Service a call on 1300 886345 - they are better equipped to advise. :)
SpinalezeSpinaleze
Dear JJR,
Thank you for your email.
The Spinaleze Medium profile pillow would suit . It will shape around your head and neck .
You will find that you are tossing up on your old pillow wether to sleep on your side then back because your neck is not supported well with that pillow and your trying to find a comfortable position.
If your sleeping on your side with it then tuck it in close to your neck.
If you sleep occasionally on your back you can also sleep with the tip of your shoulders on top of the Spinaleze pillow when sleeping on your back if you like as well.
The Spinaleze pillows will contour around the shape of your neck, just make sure the Spinaleze tuck’s in close to the neck.

Further to my review of my Spinaleze pillow I now find, after just five months use, my Spinaleze pillow has gone extremely flat where I rest my head. When lying on my side my head is now lower than my shoulder. To get any support for my head and neck I have had to turn my Spinaleze pillow around. Is this going flat after only five months normal and to be expected or is my Spinaleze pillow defective?

Looking for my 30 year old son who has neck and back problems
2 answers
Call the headquarters at neutral Bay or better still go into the shop there. The guys there are so helpful. I recall it depends on the height and the way in which your son sleeps.
SpinalezeSpinaleze
Dear Rozan
Thank you for your query.
Spinaleze pillows have been designed to provide optimal support and comfort.
If your son sleeps on his back then the Low Profile is suitable.
If he sleeps on his side and is under 180cm in height then the Medium profile would be recommended. Occasional back sleeping is also suitable on the Medium.
If he sleeps on his side and is over 180cm in height then High Profile is suitable.
Dont forget Spinaleze pillows are Australian Made.
Thanks

Hi, just wondering if you have any more sellers in Victoria, other than the two listed? I'm sure I have seen the spinaleze pillow at other physio's and chiro's but I don't remember where.
3 answers
I'm not sure but you need to try them out. As I have stated, the quality has seemed to deteriorated and you need to make sure you get the right size. Unfortunately that means going to Mossman
Thanks for that. I will check out a few chiropractors locally, first.
SpinalezeSpinaleze
Dear Dena,
Thank you for your email.
A lot of physio's and chiro's support Spinaleze by supplying their patients, and we are currently in a world that because the Spinaleze pillows are made here in Australia with expansive labour and administrative costs hence for online Australian made businesses
We can help you as much as you like until you feel comfortable in making a decision

Do you have broad shoulders?
If you don't have broad shoulders, please choose the Medium pillow. The below link will take you to the correct pillow.
Medium pillow is suitable for people under 6ft tall and sleep mostly on their side.

ConsumerManasked
Is it normal after the first night use of a new Spinaleze pillow to wake with worse neck pain than before? What side of a Spinaleze pillow is up? Do I sleep on the corrugated side or the flat side?
5 answers
SpinalezeSpinaleze
Dear ConsumerMan
Thank you for choosing an Australian Made and Australian Owned Pillow.
Depends on the individual. Some may experience some initial pain, while others immediately enjoy a great night sleep from the first night. This all depends on various factors and some of them are:
1. If the pillow you have been used to sleeping on is lower or higher than your Spinaleze pillow, you may experience initial pain as the Spinaleze pillow is now positioning your neck in their right position and hence there is adjustments in your neck muscles and alignment of the spine that triggers discomfort.
2. If the pillow you have been used to sleeping on is softer or firmer than the Spinaleze pillow, you will experience similar discomfort.
3. You may have chosen the wrong size pillow, however, that's a rare situation as our website provides clear guidelines for the correct size. However, the absolute majority of our customers have reported significant improvement in their sleep
Also it is worthwhile to check with your physician to see if you have an underlying condition that could or is causing you pain
Again, while you are enjoying a great night sleep on a Spinaleze pillow, you are also supporting many local Australian jobs as all of our pillows are manufactured, assembled and packed in Australia.
Feel free to reach out if you have any further queries.
Spinaleze Team
SpinalezeSpinaleze
Please sleep on the corrugated side.
The flat side is the bottom of the pillow.
Also, make sure the curve of the pillow is resting against your shoulder if you are a side sleeper. There should be no gap between your shoulder and the pillow.
Thank you for taking the time to respond to my concerns. 99% of the reviews here cannot be wrong, that is why I purchased the product with confidence. I will press on with the Spinaleze pillow and will be sure to write a review after three months use.
Daveasked
Hi, Im a side sleeper and exactly 180cm tall, what size pillow do i go for - Medium of High profile?
1 answer
SpinalezeSpinaleze
Hi Dave
Thank you for enquiring about Spinaleze pillows.
If you have broad shoulders then High profile.
Otherwise Medium Profile.
However, please consider if you have been used to sleeping on a Medium or low profile pillow for the previous few years, then you should consider the same size that you have been used to and comfortable with.
Thanks

Hi, I am interested in your pillow however I travel a lot and always take my pillow with me. Can you please tell me how heavy your pillow is as some pillows are so heavy and would be a problem to take travelling. Thankyou
2 answers
SpinalezeSpinaleze
Hi Lyn,
Thank you for your question.
The Spinaleze Pillow is lightweight. It weight 600grams - 900grams depending on the profile.
Its a perfect pillow for travelling. Don't take our word for it, listen to Ian Chappell by going to our website and clicking on the play button on Ian Chappell's image.
Thankyou for your reply.. I think the medium would prob be what I’m considering so how heavy is that and also do they compress in an airbag if needed? I’m thinking probably not from what I’ve read about the pillow. Also if I am about 5ft 5 tall and sleep on both my back and side but prob more on my side.. would you think the medium would be the best option?
