Spudshed is Price Gouging with their customers - They are financially capitalising on the Covid-19 epidemic
Tony Gelatti knows how to make an extra DOLLAR with Australia's current Covid-19 epidemic. There is no need to rip the public off, you are already extremely wealthy. VERY GREEDY!

cheap, fresh and local
I prefer spud shed so much over coles and woolies. Today coles mandarins were $10 a kilo, spud shed was 6 a kilo. And they were so much better quality.

Taking advantage of COVID-19
In light of the Covid-19 spud have raised there prices on fruit and vege now taking advantage of the disadvantaged people effected by this pandemic, the main reason we shopped at Spud shed was because of the affordable prices they represented and stood by now the prices are not off what Woolworths and other shops offer, come on spud shed stand by your customers and go back to your more affordable fruit and vege. You look after us and we look after you.

Price gouging
Spud shed has increased price of most its product taking advantage of the situation. Prices of oil to egg including water has been increased. Unethical and shows the value of the company.

Rude Staff
I have done a lot of shopping at this store, but found staff at the checkouts mainly those from Asia as rude people, with the manners, that may suite their culture, but not Australia. Needless to say I will restrict my shopping here

Abused by Manager ...
I made a complaint in store at Thornlie because the checkout operator was very rough with my fresh produce slamming them heavily onto the counter after scanning them. Also, I was charged incorrectly for incorrect items... I was told that staff don't know what all the produce is and therefore they just choose a cheap item. The Manager, Jacinta was very rude and question why I came to shop in their store. A very poor overall experience all round and now I have bruised produce and I wish I had just walked out!

Standards Slipping
On my recent visits to spudshed bentley and spudshed jandakot last night I am very disappointed as follows- last night purchased red globe grapes said to be 1.99 per kilo.
On checking my docket charged 4.99 per kilo green grapes-earlier this week purchased cucumber at bentley charged for lebanese cucumber 6.99 per kilo- at bentley have purchased cut price items but as the sticker not completely covering original price tag.
New price not picked up. Last week purchased bread not reduced price put in freezer two days later took out bread green ...Read more

Definitely worth a visit
Growing up I never really lived near spudshed so didn’t really know what the fuss was about but now living out of home it is definitely worth it. Buying the same groceries I would elsewhere would be about double the price. Yes they may not have the variety but fruit and veg alone make it worth it!

Great for meat, not so much for vegetables
Great meat at affordable prices. The vegetables however are a different story - they usually have to be consumed in a matter of days or they begin to rot or go mouldy. I always check their online catalogue for their weekly specials and usually find a few bargains.

Fruit crap
Wonder are you aloud to taste the fruit before you buy it. If so the trolly would be empty. Spudshed is only good for spuds. Such a shame it got to big no one trying the product before selling it.

Unimpressed
There’s nothing wrong with checking the customers’ bag.But for frontline employees, it would have been better if they have an appropriate, nicer attitude to stop someone coming out through the register without any groceries.

Wrong price and weight
I bought 2kg of bananas at Bentley store today advertised at $1.99/kg. I went back to the store after checking out, as the price charged was $2.49/kg. When the staff weighed the bananas again the weight was 2.6kg while it was initially weighed as 1.85kg and I UNDERPAID for the bananas?
Wrong Price and Wrong Weight?
What has gone wrong? I am very doubtful and dissatisfied.
I returned the bananas for a full refund.
Very bad experience. Can't Trust!!

Very unfresh. Rotten to be precise.
I bought 2 punnets of strawberries. I looked through possibly 20 punnets to find 2 that didn't have rotten strawberries on the outside. Brought them home and I couldn't make one punnet as there were rotten ones in the middle. I am not buying vegetables there again they are just not fresh but old. I tried to call the store and got an answering machine. Very disappointed as the staff were very pleasant. Pete

Selling 99c pizza without warning it’s 6 months past “best before” date made us all sick !
I went to spudshed Midland a few days ago and bought two McCain frozen pizzas “Smoked ham & caramelised onion and goats cheese and “RRoast chicken and smoked ham with garlic aioli drizzle both pizzas were in a frozen cabinet with a sign $.99 I didn’t think it was extremely cheap but I thought they got bulk pack buying power and had I known they were six months passed the best before date I certainly would not have purchased them as myself and my two teen kids aged 14 & 12 All felt sick from eating this pizza and had to throw it in the bin I fee...Read more
l like I was tricked and that it was very dishonest but they didn’t have a very clearly mark sign that the reason the pizza was being sold for $.99 was because it was six months past its best before date which was in July 2022 and we are now into January 2020 disappointing spud shed average average service and now even more average food!!Similar opinion? Used to be good but now overpriced and unreliable
I would like to know where the Annabelle’s garlic and chilli pitted olives have gone! They were great but all of a sudden not on the shelf!
I was impressed when they widened the isles and smartened the place up but they are very close to being on a par with coles and Woolworths home brands. Other brands are just disappearing from their stores.
Have not bought anything the last three times I was there as the quality of fruit and veg has gone right down.
Starting to become a boutique shop with high prices and low standards,
I don’t plan to go ba...Read more

Spud Shed Midland
I have been shopping at Spud Shed Midland pretty much since it has opened. I go there almost every day. I buy the same products all the time. Why is it that one day they have a particular product that I do buy regularly, then the next day it's out of stock??? And has not bee seen since?? I used to buy Lynx, a pretty well known and popular product you would think. Last time I need to buy this it was all out of stock; not one to be found anywhere. This was about 6 weeks ago and still not in stock. I also used to buy their Bella Terra Roasted Red ...Read more
Capsicum, (jar). This product also ran out a couple of months ago and has not been seen since. In fact, I can't get another brand of the same product because they just don't have it!!!! It looks like no-one at Spud Shed is either listening to any of their customer reviews, or maybe just don't care. Mr Spud needs to give his customers what they want or else they will just shop somewhere else. My patience is wearing very thin now after persevering for so long, but is gonna run out very soon. I have no problems buying my food and other grocery products from another retailer. Mr Spud.......give your customers what they want or they will go get what they want from somewhere else.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Joondalup Spud Shed
I visited the new Spud Shed in Joondalup the other night and was very impressed.
Huge amount of stock, clean and fresh. Great bargains.
The meat, eggs, milk, avocado and mango specials prices I purchased could not be beaten.
Some products were the same I buy in Coles, Aldis, IGA or Woolies, just cheaper and the other products were at least as good quality if not quite a bit better .
Will do most my shopping here now.
The 24/7 hours are very convenient for me and the young lady on the checkout was very polite.

I have been a Spudshed customer for years.....I have never, ever, bought an expired product from them....Never had any stinky meat...it has always been good. If I had any complaint about the meat....sometimes the steaks are sliced thinner then I like...Otherwise, they have been fine.....I've got absolutely nothing to do with Spudshed, just a satisfied customer....Can anyone tell me about their expired products?....I have never seen it and wondering if it is the majors - doing their best to destroy a smaller competitor - with fake reviews....

@Buckwheat I 1st noticed their expired food at the Butler Spudshed, they were selling frozen pizzas 2 months past there expiry dates. I recently visited their Joondalup store & saw bagged carrots that had the date 07 AUG on it & it was the 13th of August I saw that in store. When I brought that to the attention of Spudshed they said that's when it was packed, which given the appearance of those carrots I most certainly don't believe that was true. Personally I wouldn't recommend or shop there again & judging by the other negative reviews, their poor food quality is an ongoing issue. If you or anyone else does shops there, I'd highly recommend checking the dates of all food items to ensure you don't get food poisoning or waste your money.
I checked the dates....of about 60 products - none were expired - in our larger Joondalup shop....I have shopped at Spudshed many times...and never had a bad experience....Granted the Wangara shop was dirty and poor customer service......That said, I grow veggies for our household....and it takes forever for carrots to go off....IF in fact this reviewer actually experienced bad carrots.....
Furthermore this person, did not buy the carrots...but is happy to provide a review....I smell a rat....We bought several other vegetables, and no issues....on that Friday 9 August. I definitely stand by my review and comments....I have never had an issue with Spudshed, beyond wangara cleanliness - and slack checkouts....But, enjoyed their much lower prices.....I will leave it with you to determine who is genuine.....
Then shop there. Buckwheat I don't really care. My experiences was exactly how I explained constantly out dated products and. The frozen products macaroni and cheese jaffles were 3 months out of date. Pizza was off. Dog got the chicken. I was at spearwood which is a newly opened store dame thing . I usually go to jandakot. Same thing. Both shops have gone from being extremely busy to empty. Please anyone who is going to spudshed. Check the dates before you buy something as I'm trying to help you. Where you shop won't bother me. You will make up your own mind. Where I shop does. I refuse to put my family at risk. When it comes to food.
