Excellent quality

published

I have had the full Albany set for over 8 years now and the cutlery looks as good as the day it was bought. I would have no hesitation to buy this again if I had to but it doesnt seem likely since this set has held up so well to the abuse that a modern-day family hurls at it, it looks as if these will outlast me. Outstanding quality and craftsmanship. Don't believe the naysayers, you won't be dissapointed

Purchased in May 2021 at Harris Scarfe for A$350.00.

Tarnished

I was given a Stanley Rogers cutlery set as a gift. Already had two other cutlery sets I was using at the time. So saved it to use on special occasions.
Hand washed them after first use & they already developed black spots. Now I’m using them every day and it’s only been two months & it’s getting worse. If I don’t wash & dry them STRAIGHT away after use, it happens!! What the??
Clearly it’s a manufactured fault. As with other complaints. Stanley Rogers need to be accountable.

Scratches easily and starting to rust after 1 month use..

Brought this at Spotlight, they looks great and provides all the cultery you need, the problem is that they are not built to last..
After 1 month of use the cutlery is starting to show scratches and chips which result in rust, I was planning to buy another box but not anymore

Purchased in October 2021 at Spotlight for A$80.00.

Rusty knives

published

Same story as other people that near immediately I had rust problems. I will admit I do not necessarily take the cutlery straight out of the dishwasher and wipe immediately but who does expect to do this. My cheap set of cutlery never had these problems of rust and I would not consider buying this brand again. Who enjoys removing rust every week off their cutlery?

Did not meet expectations

Got two sets of the steak knives on special at David Jones during the Xmas sales. Just took both back for a refund due to rusting and pitting. Luckily found the receipt. The sets I bought were made in Korea and clearly not the quality this brand was known for. Would not go for this brand again.

Rusted

published

When my partner and I first moved out, all we could afford was a $8 knife set from the supermarket. We finally got a proper set for christmas, the Stanley Rogers 6 piece knife set with block and we have had it for 3 weeks, already there are multiple signs of rust. Even the $8 set of 3 didn't show signs of rust that fast!!
Not happy

cutlery eventually rusts

Had no issues with my Stanley Rodgers cutlery until recently - it’s started to rust badly!!! I have no idea what happened ... ? Anyways it’s possible it isn’t the manufacturers fault but seeing other reviews of rust problems, perhaps something is wrong with the steel ...

Rusts within weeks

published

I got a set as a wedding gift and within two weeks of use they started to rust. I contacted Stanley Rogers and we got a very curt reply. Saying rust is not covered under warranty and we should not leave them in the dishwasher they need to be removed immediately and dried.

I have had a set of Maxwell Williams for 10 years with no rust, going through the same washing process.

Do not buy Stanley Rogers.

Worst Product

I purchased the Stanley Rogers 56 piece Nobel set in 2013. I left it in its original packaging up until January 2015 when I started to use it on a daily basis. After 2 weeks of use it had started to rust. I contacted Stanley Rogers Australian Hotline and they told me that "it couldn't be rust" and that I needed to take photos of every piece that was affected and email it to them. Just so happens that all 56 pieces are rusted and its difficult to get a photo that shows the rust. I still have the original receipt for the 25 year guarantee. I will never purchase a Stanley Rogers product again. I highly recommend that no-one else wastes their money on an over priced product that doesn't even last 2 weeks.

Great looking set

Nice wieght and design. Dishwasher safe and great quality steel, bought from a shop in DFO on special so for the price it was an excellent buy, have had this set for several months and have had no issues with surface rust or logo coming off and been using dishwasher to clean them the whole time.
The set came in a nice box and would make a nice present.
Nice wieght and design, good price on special.

I bought three years ago at a sydney mall to a prestigious store during a holiday trip, a set of forks, spoons, tea spoons,... for 8 persons for about almost 300 $ aud to use it for my christmas dinner. What was the surprise when i opened it after receive it by shipping to my country one month after, some items were rusted. Even after cleaning, it smelled rust. So, i was wondering why the store was selling in sale at 50% ! I showed this to a specialist, and tell me that there was no logo. Do they sell two types of production ? one in china and an other one from another place ?
It 's heavy, sign of quality ?
no LOGO and problem of rust on some units

I received this cutlery set as a wedding gift. I absolutely love it. It's simple in design but looks modern and stylish. It's dishwasher safe and of good stainless steel quality. I've gone out and purchased another two sets. Highly recommend this.
Simple design but looks great.

My partner and I moved in to our new home last week and a 56 piece Stanley and Rogers cutlery set was the first thing we bought ourselves. Unfortunately it has started to rust and show signs of pitting. Has anyone had a successful outcome on refunds or any tips to remove the rust and avoid it happening again? Surely in this day and age they should be dishwasher safe and not have to be taken out ASAP!!!

Very disappointed with mine. I bought 2 sets for 8, for every day use. The knives are all horrible. I'm looking at buying something to replace it, but I want something that will still look nice and is dish washer friendly.
