Connectors failed then body split
After about 18 months one of the connectors that the 1/4 in hoses plug into split at the thread and water everywhere. This is installed WITH the pressure reducer they supply.
Stefani came to the party and posted replacements out that arrived within a couple of days.
12 months later one of the cannisters split at the bottom. Kitchen cabinet flooded again.
Not worth the hassle, replacing with a mains pressure one. Look elsewhere.
Purchased in September 2021 at Bunnings Noosaville for $105.00.

Do not buy the Stefani water filter
Do not know if it’s doing the filtering job it promises. What I do know is that the intake burst and covered the kitchen with water. Luckily we heard the water at 2am before any serious damage could be done. Do not buy this product - it’s rubbish.

What absolute rubbish
Bought 3 years ago, installed, no problems, went to change filters after 12 months, as recommended, discovered filters were wrapped in plastic!!! Installed same filters back again, why put new ones in, when they had no effect previous 12 months. two days ago, top housing split, caused major leak, fortunate we were home. BOTTOM LINE THIS PRODUCT IS RUBBISH.
Purchased in February 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for $104.00.

Do not buy, leaks
Issues with leaking, orings pinch easily, then leak. Cant buy orings easily (and sizings not published), bought two units waste of money. Had numerous leaks and has damaged the cabinets. Be very careful putting on the housings, and dont over tighten. Spend a bit more and get a better unit.
Purchased at Bunnings Warehouse.

Not fit for purpose.. Do not purchase this unit!
Been in less than 8 weeks, Return home to constant leaks from the supplied fittings. 2 licensed plumbers have both said its crap, change it to another type before it totally destroys the cupboards from its leaking.. Have to remind myself to turn it off at another mains water shutoff every time I leave house for a few days. Cant trust it not to flood and run the kitchen cupboards. Also found even with their supplied pressure reducer the tap sprays water everywhere, not a clean even flow like the older puratap models I had. Pulling it out tom...Read more
orrow to chuck thru Bunnings front window and fit a puratap model from another supplier. I highly suggest not buying one of these. They are far from fit for purpose, the amount of reviews of flooded cupboards should be enough warning for you..Purchased in July 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for $100.00.

What a load of crap
Had the dual filter for 6 months then one of the filter containers broke at the bottom. Luckily we were home when it happened. So went to buy a replacement only to find that the single filter type are a different size fitting to the dual type. FFS......Left it with one filter but then the canister O ring went causing over $2000 worth of damage to my house....out of warranty. Will not buy or recommend to anyone. Crap product, crap design.
Purchased in June 2021 at Bunnings Warehouse for $299.00.

The reviewer stated that an incentive was offered for this review
The flooding caused cupboard swelling after approximately 2 years of use
Approximately 2 years of good water filtering then, twin undersink unit developed a large crack and within 2 hours flooded my kitchen, family room and laundry, where it ran out of the drain and under laundry door. Minimal damage, only a little cupboard swelling due to prompt clean up by myself and 3 daughters working quickly. Might try another brand

Not too bad though!
Tap water being very hard to use here, I had to run buy bottled water time and again. Stefani filter has helped to reduce the odour but did not improve the taste as expected. Overall, I would say a ok product. I would suggest this for someone who wants to eliminate the odour from their water.

Cannot handle the job
I recently returned from an overseas trip to find water pouring from under the sink across the tiled floor in the kitchen, across the family room and finally through the laundry floor waste. Fortunately not into my carpets or floorboards. The canister of the first filter had burst, even when fitted with the supplied reduction valve. I can never trust this brand again

Do not buy, will cause damage
Purchased an under sink twin canister filtration unit. Top housing developed hairline crack after 2 yrs, caused a leak that happened when we were out for the day and ruined downstairs ceiling, I even had a water pressure restrictor in place!!! Cheap product, would definitely steer clear of this product.

Absolute crap product
Purchased a twin undersink unit from Bunnings 2 years ago. Installed it myself - no issues. Ran perfectly well until 12 months had elapsed and the kitchen was flooded. Hairline cracks in bottom of first unit. Changed filters and decided to use only 1 cartridge/unit. 12 months later the second unit does the same. Seems you have a manufacturing product issue. Will be phoning too.

twin untersink Stefani water filter from bunnings
Well what can I say the fall comes after greatness, this company Stefani does not listen to their customer and amend their installation instructions. The are arrogant and should not been on the shelves of Bunnings.
The instruction has no mention that the filter are repped in plastic and they are pre installed in the housing which is sealed off.
Does not bother me too much but when I made them aware of their instruction missing this vital part they just ignored it. Please let me know if they have it now included in their instruction and if so good on them but the least they could have said thank you.

Great value for money
The water quality and taste is fantastic and the unit is very easy to install. I only have one real issue and that is the pressure is very low with the pressure regulator and takes a while to fill a glass. Maybe I have an incorrect pressure regulator valve. but the price and water quality is well worth buying.

Never buy this product!!
Never ever buy Stefani twin undersink filtration system. I purchased this product in January 2017 and got in installed by a plumber. Bunnings sold it to me saying it has a two year warranty. Recently I noticed it is leaking water (Damaged my kitchen cupboards as well) and found out that there are hairline cracks on the lids. So I took it back to Bunnings with the proof of purchase and they asked for evidence that it was installed by a plumber. Even though I got a plumber to install it, never kept the receipt. When I look at the packaging it say...Read more
s "Recommended to be installed by licensed plumber", which tells me it is not compulsary. So how am I suppose to know, I need a plumbers invoice for warranty claim and bunnings never told me to keep the plumbers receipt. So I called the company directly and they refused to discuss any further unless I have a plumbers receipt. This is a known issue with this product and the company knows that. Because one of my mates had this exact product installed and had the same issue as me and has gone back to the company. They have said water pressure is causing this issue and they are now including a pressure reducing valve with the product. Another issue is after you change the filter it starts to leak water as well. It is a constant battle and will ruin your kitchen cupboards. Stay away from this product.Similar opinion? Filter housing and top housing crack
Bought and installed 3 years ago. First 2 years working great without issue but now the third year (warranty only 2 years) it started ocassionally leak water from the oring similar to other reports here. Took it out and had a close look and saw few minor crack lines. Suppose this allowed water pass through the oring and caused the leak.
Contacted Stefani as the housing should last alot longer and shouldnt crack at all. All i get from them is "it is over warranty period". Disappointed.

Working well after a few hiccups
I had a twin Stefani filter installed by a plumber when I was installing a new kitchen 2 years ago. There were some initial teething problems with water squirting everywhere. The pressure limiting valve didnt work as it was supposed to and was very noisy. It appeared that when I turned off my main kitchen tap, a water hammer effect increased the pressure in the filter and blew out the O rings. As I had bought the unit the plumber advised me to call Stefani direct. He advised that he had seen these pressure limiting devices fail before. Stef...Read more
ani sent a replacement pressure limiting device and several spare O rings. Since then there have been no problems and getting good filtered water. There has also been no more noise from the pressure limiting device.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Top housing faulty
Had ours for 3 months and it worked great but started leaking from the top of one of the housings. I thought it might have been an O-ring but I've tried replacing with no success. I looked closely and it's actually the plastic housing that's slightly bulged and causing a slow leak. Will return to Bunnings for a replacement or a different model.

Single unit filter works brilliantly
Like Jaya36 review, I moved into a house witI an existing Adelside based competitive twin under sink unit. The existing unit filters are not inter changable with other brands and buying filters to replace yourself is difficult. So, off to Bunnings, bought the Stefani single unit and a 0.2 micron filter. All up the cost was a little over $100. Took 20 minutes to install, super easy and for a month Ive had pure water and faultless operation. I installed the supplied pressure relief valve which reduces tap pressure from 125psi to 50psi. Installati...Read more
on is easy, if your putting a new unit in from scratch and your not an experienced handy person, you can do most of it and have a plumber contect the water line. Follow the instructions, everything is provided, its really that easy. If in doubt get a plumber. If your replacing a competitor unit its easily doable yourself. Highly recommend the Stefani unit.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

I just lost large section of my garage ceiling
I noticed water in my kitchen on Saturday
My garage is below my kitchen - there was so much water that I believed that a pipe had sprung a leak
After investigation the water was only coming from the water filter
My kitchen cupboards are damaged
My garage ceiling needs approximately one metre square replaced
Be careful of this unit

bubbles stay all night in my glass installed filtration system 1 week ago is that normal?
1 answer
I don't think that's normal. You should probably get it checked or if you installed yourself check the filter.

i have just installed a twin filtration system. after letting about 15 or more litres of water out it is still cloudy. Any ideas?
3 answers
Mine did the same but the cloudy water disappeared after a week. The same time I noticed the pressure dropped. This is a really good question for Stefani engineers to answer.
I had the same issue and was letting water out and it took couple of days to clear water.
The cloudy issue is caused by micro bubbles and can appear gray in colour. The carbon block filters will take a few days to clear all the air out of them. The smaller micron the filter the smaller the air bubbles, the longer it will take to clear them. An easy test to see if it is micro air bubbles is to fill a class leave it on the bench and you should see the cloudiness rise to the top of the glass.
