Reliable but inadequate performance
We replaced our old vacuum cleaner with the Aldi product in 2015. It gets used regularly and has never broken down. However its performance is below-par. We've actually gone back to the old vacuum (which we only replaced because we thought it had poor suction) to get a better clean. We're cleaning a 50:50 combination of hard floor and fairly short carpet, so we don't quite understand why the Aldi product doesn't get as good a clean as a product three times its age.
We wouldn't buy the Aldi vacuum again. Spend a bit more money and get something that performs better.
UPDATE - January 2020 - We have retired the Aldi vacuum cleaner due to poor suction. It still gets use for the car. We won't be buying another Aldi vacuum for the house.
Purchased in January 2021 for $99.00.

good
bought two years ago, still working good. just the wire couldn't get all back into the bottom of the machine but it's not a big deal for me. good strong suction, a little bit heavy especially when you have to lift it from one spot to another as sometimes the wheels stuck. l have a two bedroom apartment, carpet

Great value vaccuum
At $40, this is the best value money can buy for a vaccuum cleaner. I don't think there are any vaccuum cleaners in the market at this price point delivering the same quality.
Vacuum itself has strong consistent suction and is easy to disassemble and clean. Have been using it for 5 months now and have not had any problems.

Quality Machine Happy With It
We heard on the grapevine that these are particular good vacuums and when they became available again jumped right in. It is true! The quality is obvious as soon as you unpack it, It has metal wand and very good accessories. Suction is good and strong and emptying is a breeze. Another good thing is the long Aldi guarantee. We are well pleased with this,

Good Quality Vacuum
We picked this up from Aldis special buys based on our friends recommendation. It is very well made and has a quality feel to it despite being mostly plastic. It's fairly quiet and civilized when its running and does a good job with decent suction - not the best ever, but quite good. Cord length is a little shorter than I would prefer and emptying the barrel is a bit messy but overall this is a worthy vacuum and we are happy with it.

Good Vacuum Good Value
Heard that these are supposed to be good so I grabbed on when they came up in the Aldi special buys cycle. Well its pretty good! Suction isn't quite as powerful as I had hoped but its very good. I find it works best to regularly empty the bin and that helps keep it powerful. The construction is quite good quality but its also easy to maneuver. Emptying the dust can be a bit messy but I appreciate not having to buy paper bags. Over all a good deal.

Great value for money
It is really portable. Easy to clean and holds a lot of debris before needing to empty. Suction is really strong. Not the quietest but that's ok. Works on all types of flooring like carpet, tiles and timber. Really easy to pack up and unfold for easy cleaning as well.

Lightweight and easy
Like this a lot. Easy to empty and clean the filter. No bags. Easy to manoeuvre and works better than my old bulky heavy Miele. Takes less room to store and is great value for a cheap little machine. Highly recommend this vacuum cleaner. It is also lightweight and small. Can't remember the actual purchase date.

Low Suction Returned It
This started very well and was cheap for what it is. A good quality cyclonic style vacuum. Within the first two days of using it it suction power dropped right away. I carefully emptied it but I couldn't see and obstructions, I think that after a little work, the central filter gets covered over and the suction is lost. Its a shame because I really liked the design but the suction became quite useless. I had the receipt and Aldi accepted the return, no problems

check the cyclinuc part if fitted properly
Smooth floors. Got given this. It had the cyclonic part wasn't locked in properly meaning it dropped below the intake and was blocking up. Cleaned it out and put the cyclones and red plastic part back onto the core ( like a bayonet light fitting). Works fine now, great suction. Also amke sure the top filter is unblocked and in with the lip down.

Suction Not Great
I had to return this vacuum cleaner. The moment I first started it, I could tell the suction was not up to standard. It was every well made with lots of accessories and a good bagless barrel design but it basically doesn't have the power to clean thoroughly at the start, it would get weaker as it filled. A no go-er unfortunately. The refund process was easy though.

Great suction! Works perfectly since years. Read this for cleaning advise!
It's the perfect vacuum cleaner, the best I ever had. Light, small, great suction - the lot!
Bought it nearly 3.5 years ago.
Yes, I just read all the other comments below about people complaining about bad suction after a while and somebody even buying (with difficulty) a new filter. I never bought new filter for it.
But frankly: I expected already since years that there would be people having exactly the problem detailed below.
The reason is quite easy: Dust blocks these various filters in there and this reduces suction.
All you need to do, is clean those filters.
You'll probably think: I do! - But no, you do it wrong...:

Poor suction
At first this vacuum was ok.. it seemed to suck alot of the fur and everything else up out of the carpet. Over the years, this has got worse and suction is bad. Not to mention, when we first purchased it, the metal pipe which has the head attached to it use to zap us. I never felt safe using it. I don't recommend it to be a sturdy product with a long life

Had to return it to ALDI
Same power as our last one by Stirling (from ALDI) and at a great price, as we had anticipated, as regular ALDI shoppers, but had this Stirling vacuum a smaller brush- head so we had to go over & over the same areas more often to gather dirt and fur. This made vacuuming a lengthier and so, a much more exhausting experience.
A shame, because we were happy with the same brand when we bought it a couple of years ago and it was used often & only stopped working recently.
We love ALDI and buy many products from them so this is the first one tha...Read more

. Not recommending this vacuum cleaner. Waste of my moneys.
Not happy with suction. Heavy and does not easy to maneuver. Not suitable to carpet floor. The word cyclonic was deceiving. Does not worth the money i spent on.
The fact that there wasn’t any sample for you to feel, try on, lift, handle it for good feel, read the manual, etc made it hard to choose.

old ones are perfect, new version is a waist of money.
I got one of the original models, sadly they don't make them like that anymore.
purchased mine in 2012. its still going strong in 2017. when the suction is getting bad, I soak the filters over night and its back to perfect again. its also recommended to give them a shake every time you empty the cylinder.
I have 3 cats and a dog who are inside. i have floor boards in the living areas and carpets in bedrooms. it does get clogged up in the hose with hair if there is too much but if done regularly, its not an issue. a beater bar on the head ...Read more
would also help get the hair out of the carpet but I make do. I have a spare vacuum in the shed that died this year (2017) and I purchased the new version of this vacuum but alas, its awful. the filters need cleaning after every use, not just a dust, they need a soak in water. I cant get the car fully clean without the filters filling and needing emptying. the suction is similar as the original but it doesn't last. I wish it would hurry up and die altogether so I can get something different. and by the sounds of the reviews, it wont be long... Why would they change their product when it was perfect to start with?Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

If you thought your carpet was clean. Think again
I recently purchased an Easy Home multi cyclonic vacuum cleaner from Aldi. I was amazed! I had already vacuumed my house but you wouldn't think so with all the dirt the new cleaner picked up, and I didn't even have the turbo brush attached. It was so quiet that I could still hear if my phone rang. Fantastic, after the horrid noise my old one made. So easy to empty dust cannister too. The extendable wand is great for us taller people, means no more stooping while cleaning. Even on minimum power it does a fantastic job on vinyl and tiles, then maximum on shag carpet. 3 year warranty works for me. Get yourself one.

Disappointed. so close but yet so far
Bought today. $99. Didn't expect it to a great job. Was actually surprised. All fitted together easily, suction was very very good, the attachments good, except the small nozzle which is cheap and might well break after repeated use, but it does do an excellent job at getting into window crevices, was really pleased at its job on my hard floor and a light clean of the carpets... but then i sucked up a ball of dog hair, after 30 mins of trying to remove, i discovered that it impossible to get into the handle apart, but I did eventually ...Read more
manage to dislodge it. I continued using it being very careful, .Sadly i must have sucked up another ball, as the suction all but disappeared.. Im returning it. sad... because for $99 if I could have gotten into the handle and extender pole. It would have been perfect. - If you don't have animals or kids and r aren't overly messy then it'll do the job fine.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
