We have built our first home with Stroud Port Macquarie. When we originally looked at builders, Stroud was on the more expensive side compared with some other local project home companies like Adenbrook and Coral Homes. We spent a long time doing research, and in the end Stroud came out on top for value and quality for money, and included a lot of the things that we would be paying to upgrade with other builders.

The team at Stroud Northern Rivers were great to deal with. From the sales manager who helped to visualise and complete our plan and liaise with the council, the team we worked with on finish and colour selections, and the building supervisor who was in contact with us regularly to talk about how the build was progressing and discuss any issues.

Our construction started in April 2017. Due to a design flaw which was blamed on us construction was stopped at our request and new plans drawn up at our expense and approved. Approval given in July 2017, we didn’t get the keys until August 2018 (26 week build expected).
Our windows at the front and rear are off centre - we didn’t change them, just how they were drawn up. Again our fault for not noticing. Floor tiles were badly scratched, some replaced. Very poor quality tile but surely they should have been protected until handover. Alfresco d...Read more

We firstly met with Luke in the sales process who talked us through their duplex designs and previous customers homes.

They didn’t have much of a range but were able to customise to our needs. This was a wonderful surprise.

We spoke about our finishes and desired budget. Which Luke took greatly into consideration.

As per Luke’s promises, he came back to us after 2 days with a quote within our budget.

Once the deposit was paid, there was a smooth process; Larnah from head office contacted us not long after and walked us through the contract process for colours and tiles with a great variety of choices.

Our build started quite slowly with some issues with the land but once this had been sorted out it was full go ahead with the slab being laid quickly. Communication while picking all our selections was great and John and Tammy were great with our choices and honest if they thought it wouldn't work.

We built with Stroud Wagga 18 months ago. During our build it was managed so well. Brian and John kept in contact with us at al times. The workmanship of our house is of the best quality. People still coming to visit us always say how good the house looks and how well it is built. If we had any issues during the build we bought them up straight away and it was never a problem to fix it up at the time. How well managed was your build?
The overall management of the build was executed with no fuss. We were informed on a weekly basis on the progress of our build. The team at Wollongong were more than accommodating in explaining in detail any question that we had, no matter how intricate or trivial the enquiries were. From start to finish our build with Peter and the Stroud Homes Tamworth team was flawless. From initial contact to handover the communication was fantastic from both Pete and build supervisor Michael. We loved our Friday afternoon updates and knowing exactly what was happening during the following week.

Our first experience with Stroud started 2 years ago with Toby, he could envisage our dream build and was very confident about it becoming a reality. Even through home loan issues, Stroud stood by us and even recommended a mortgage broker who has been amazing and managed to get us over the line.
