Does the boiler switch off automatically once eggs are cooked?

Hi Den P,
Thank you for your question. We suggest to use the Cook with Ready Buzzer to alert you when the eggs are done. If you wish to leave it for longer please ensure you check the water level.

Why less water for more boiled eggs

Customer C.Sunbeam
Hi Debra W, when you have more eggs in the Poach & Boil, the water takes longer to evaporate. If you follow the instructions you will get perfect eggs everytime!
Nice to see this logical question addressed. I was also wondering at these water levels being less for more eggs.

Through washing up, my measure for the egg poach & boil EC1300 has lost the white markings for qty of water required for different quantity of eggs. I am lost without my egg cooker which is a wonderful appliance which is in good condition other than not knowing how much water to put in. Do you sell as a separate part? Thanks Val in Melbourne.

I do not remember if when I bought this egg cooker if there was a poacher in the box. I would really like to buy the accessory. Can you help with that?

The poacher is two white trays that sit on top of the cooking plate. It comes with the egg cooker, it isn't an extra accessory.
It's a bit confusing because it steams the cracked eggs; not really a traditional poaching technique. They don't look as nice as eggs poached in water but they taste the same and are so much easier to cook.
Hi, no I didn't receive a poacher

The edges of the grey colour rack to place eggs have broken from normal use. Call edSunbeam up to try to get the price of the part(lost the receipt though its less than 1 year, so prepared to pay for it), they can't even tell me approximately the price of the part( e.g. under 20 dollars or under 40 dollars etc), told me i have to bring it to a service centre to get it 'fixed', and they will tell me the price . Its just a simple part I need not a repair. What inconvenience, does anyone know how much the grey rack cost approximately? Just needing to decide should I buy another one or just get the part without too much trouble.

If it is still under warranty and you have the receipt, I would take it back to where you bought it from. If it has broken due to normal use and not misuse, you are entitled to a replacement and/or refund. Without the receipt, the shop does not have to refund or replace the item.
I think you would be better off just buying a new one and keep the old one as spare parts. A new one costs $30 at The Good Guys, and other stores like Bing Lee and Harvey Norman.

Not normally supplied, but we can try to recover one if we have a return. We will need to order one in to find out the water measurements, are you able to call our free phone 0800 786 232 and ask for Noah so I can get your delivery address to send the item out once we recover one.
Dabadia...Hope this helps......
HARD BOILED EGGS......1/3 cup water, MEDIUM BOILED EGGS.....1/4 cup water, SOFT BOILED EGGS....40 Mls water (approx), OMELETTE .....1/4 cup water, POACH & STEAM....50 Mls water.
Forgot to add Dabadia....Don't forget to prick the egg so it doesn't burst. Use a needle if you have lost your measuring cup which had the egg piercer on it.
