Was so good now a little worse
We bought our previous Sunbeam Quantum over 5 years ago and use it more than 10 time every day (maybe even 20) and were very happy with it. The spring in the lid finally gave out. The problem is almost all the changes made are not an improvement. The handle does not feel as nice to hold. The switch is in the now popular at the bottom spot (mind you they could have stopped the fact the switch sometimes got steam on it another way I am sure) and this makes the light harder to see. ot sure the opaque window is better or worse then the old clear one. The open button is not as smooth (this could just as its new and it will get better after a few weeks), hopefully this will mean the spring is better. Still for the price (and if it lasts as long as the old one) it is a great buy. I still recommend it but I just hope sunbeam put a few of the changes back in the newer model we are likely to get next time.
Purchased in August 2021 at The Good Guys for $59.00.

Having used it a bit more I now realise what is not so good about the frosted window. The water shows up well but the volume marks are in white which does not have a good contrast. If the volume marks where in black it would be fine I think.

Great price, easy to use!
Great kettle, love the viewing window to take guess work out of water level!
Heats quickly and much quieter than our previous kettle.
Easy to clean - totally reccommend if you want a great kettle at a brilliant price!
Purchased in July 2021 at Target Australia for $39.99.

Hello Mario,
All Sunbeam products are BPA Free.
I would be very surprised to find it had BPA in it. The only likely contender would be the water level window for getting into the boiling water. Glad Sunbeam confirm it is BPA free.
