Company of poor character.
We have been left in the dark, having paid our deposit.
Call them to see when the instalation will happen, just to be passed around.
They say they will call but nothing just lies.

Great Tradies
The installation was carried out thoughtfully, thoroughly and professionally by the three tradies. The panels and the electrical install can't fault it, neat and tidy and they left the job the same way. Very happy although having a problem with the WiFi. No hesitation in recommending Sunboost to others.

Very happy with our decision to instal solar, we should be able to reduce our electricity bill by quite a lot.
The installers arrived around 7am, they introduced themselves and told us that the install should be completed by midday. The whole system was installed and up and running by noon. Very polite, friendly and efficient workers. When the job was completed all the rubbish was packed up and taken away.

Arrived early, went about their installation, I was amazed at time taken to have it installed & up & running, finished for lunchtime. All rubbished place in garbage bins, pleased with job.

Great service - not!
After contact from Sunboost (referred) and discussing my particular requirements and agreeing on payment of the deposit my quote arrived by email (#129289) on 30/8/19 . Rang Sunboost as the quote was incorrect 3ph inverter not Hybrid for battery connection as discussed. Rang Sunboost to discuss quote and was informed that I would need to install a battery charger to the inverter - an extra, new quote arrived 16/9/19. Now I should say I am a retired Builder who built alternative houses etc for around 45 years so I knew my way around. This 6.6...Read more
Kw system was additional to the 5Kw system previously installed some years ago. Quotation signed and returned on 20/9/19, rang Sunboost regards Tasnetworks Application to "Approve Installation" to have solar put on and they advised me of the application number, wrong number, right address, wrong location, sorted out problem with Tasnetworks and my approval was returned to me on 8/10/19. Contact Sunboost for install date and was advised it would be carried out within 2 weeks, all good I thought. I was given the name of the installer but the installer never contacted me or returned my calls to him (full payment was made on 22/10/19). The date came and I again contacted Sunboost and was given the second excuse for not installing which was freight handlers were at fault! Guarantee's was given by Sunboost that the installation would be completed on the 25/10/19 at the latest by the 28th as we were going on holidays (volunteering in remote areas) for the month and would not be at the property. The 28th came and no installation contact Sunboost again! New installation date would be the 29/11/19 summer is slipping away sun shine in decline. No installation on that day and by now I am becoming concerned as I have made full payment on guarantee of installation and I have nothing, no gear, no installer, and nothing but hollow promises being given by Sunboost. I expressed my disappointment with Sunboost and the fact that even after the system is installed another 2 weeks are required before the system can be turned on because of the required meter change. I could not get this process shortened as the installer could only put in the paper work after the installation. More dates and assurances were given but still no contact from or to the installer. Excuses were it was "raining" and they could not work when "wet" Sent them photo's of the site bathed in sunshine and dry flat roof to prove my point that there information was incorrect. I contacted Sunboost and was given a new install date, the 23/12/19, now I ask what contractor is going to start a new job on the Monday and the day before Christmas eve? Another "guarantee" that it will be done on that day, my question was what are you going to do if the installation is not done on that day? No reply other than it will be done. Needless to say that day came and no installer, rang Sunboost to be told the installer is on his way and he is picking up the "gear". Lunchtime came so again rang Sunboost (installer still not taking calls) to be told the installer will not be here today, a heated discussion and frustration on my part resulted in another installer be sent to carry out the work. He arrived assessed the job (he was on his way to his shack for Christmas) and said there was nothing he could do till second week of January 2020 as the wholesalers that Sunboost use are closed till then. Infact the closed on the 20/12/19 so there was no way the installer would have been able to pick up the "gear". We again wait for the new install date. Rang Sunboost and they advised that the original installer was going to do the job and he would be here on the 10/1/20. Surprise, mid morning he arrived, backed his trailer up to the install site, managed to run into the corner of my house and chip the brick work, lucky for him the bricklayer came around by chance on that day to have a look at replacing the brickwork above where the damage was from a previous accident by me. The installers were missing some components so they went for those, during the installation other components were missing but fortunately I had the required items on hand from previous solar installs for other clients. The installation was completed in 6 hours, it was satisfactory and done as requested. I was surprised to see the installer walking on and across the glass panels so I hope that no trace cracking in the solar cell film has or will happen. The request for the meter change was then submitted and on the 28/1/20 they arrived to change the meters. Meter change cannot be done because the meter panel contains "asbestos" and must be replaced, another 4 weeks. So on the 4/3/20 I eventually switched on the system, so summer has gone days are now shorter and we have lost this years production of banked energy for winter heating. The Growatt Inverter installed seems efficient enough but cannot figure out why they install a 5Kw rated inverter on a 6.6Kw system when a 6Kw inverter only costs $100 more (Inverter will take 20% more Kw). The Inverter has a display which you cannot be read during daylight hours as the display has no backlight, the WiFi is best described as challenging and I have still yet to get it working, need to call Growatt Support. During this whole process Sunboosts representatives have given me nothing but false promises, guarantees, promises of refunds for losses incurred, and then they say if you give us a positive review we will give you a "bonus". Would I recommend them, NO, would I suggest that you use some body else, YES. The only thing I can see positive out of this is it's a competitively priced system in Tasmania. As a footnote, I am advised that the installer no longer works for Sunboost!

Jason and his team were redirected to install our panels after their booked installation was not able to proceed. Upon arrival they worked tirelessly to complete the installation in an efficient and timely manner, working through to 6:30pm. They were friendly and courteous and we were very happy with the standard of their work.

Great Service and Speedy Installation
Alvis was great to deal with from the start of the purchase and installation process. The approvals were quick and the installation was done in approximately 3 weeks from the time of purchase. The installers managed by Tim were pleasant and done a rather difficult job with ease and without complaint. I would recommend Sunboost as it was a seamless journey.

Excellent quality Solar panels
Very happy with the installation and product provided by Sunboost. While it did take a few months before the install we done, we accepted this from the flooding of advertising by Sunboost prior to the government rebate ceasing at the close of 2022. We were given an installation date, and the guys arrived promptly on time. Before any work commenced, we were informed precisely how the job was to be carried and where to panels were to go. Horrible people to deal with. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.
Did not happen. Eric (sales person) chased me put a deposit and when I did they did not return emails and calls. After 3 weeks of no emails I rang Eric and he told me that site inspection people tried to ring me and could not leave a message. What a lie. He then said I would get a refund even though I did not request one.
They offer cheap price and do not honour the price.

I did not get a quote number but I have the email trail form Eric your solar consultant. You can contact me directly - see my emails to Eric on 29/2/20 and numerous others. He is a good liar.
You have still not contacted me. It is just like Eric - your salesman.

They give you an install date after date then lie about why it was not done. They will not refund my deposit they bully you on the phone also there English is poor as they are I suspect they are a Indian call centre. Stay away from them they will let you down

The installers were great! They actually took the time to look at the property and decided the best place for the panels would be on the Double shed we have. They were thinking outside the square for a change.
Can't complain about the company at all, and any queries I had, whether by email or phone, they were very helpful!

I have just arranged a 6.6Kw solar system for my mother in law in Rutherford NSW. She had it installed yesterday but still waiting for the power company to install the smart meter. She is very happy with the installation crew and I was very happy with the cost for one, and the process from start to finish was pretty seamless. I can only say that I had a good experience and was quoted about half the cost of other installers. It gets pretty confusing with panel quality etc but we just went with what we could afford. If the warranty is there and it is, I couldn't see a problem. So from someone that has just gone through the process with my mother in law and have started the installation process with my own parents I can assure you that at least in the Maitland/Hunter region you won’t be disappointed.
