Recently had 8 days in Tassie in a brand new rental Swift. As a mechanical device, it's great, but as an all-round car, it has two significant failings. 1) Comfort - drive 200kms and see if you can stand up straight, let alone walk. Totally debilitating. I got to the point where I hated getting into the drivers seat. 2) Handling - this is not a car for inexperienced drivers.
