I have been on a XLR8 health program for about 5 months now only consuming 20 grams of carbs a days, 110 grams of fat and 120 grams of protein. I lost 20 kilos and dropped a few dress sizes I am happy with the result but I am in the hard part now the last 10 kilos.... I find my body slipping in and out of ketosis. I was recommended Keto Switch. I have only been taking it for three days and I feel the difference and definitely helps during fasting but it make me feel nauseated after I drink it. Is this a common side affect when starting out on it or could it be happening because I take other supplements as well?

Can I / should I mix with another thermogenic? I have been on IF for nearly two months and have seen great results. My morning stack is two table spoons of apple cider and bsc neuro. I want to add switch to the mix but but reluctant to stop bsc since the stack is working fine.

When is the best time to consume Keto Switch if I follow the 16/8 intermittent fasting & Keto diet? It will break my fast right?
Thank you:)

There’s only 24 calories in KetoSwitch, which isn’t high enough to break your fast. It also has an appetite suppressant, so it helps with hunger as well. I’m doing a 16/8 fast, eating generally between 12 and 8pm, and I usually have the supplement around 6 or 7 am, 30 minutes before a workout! :)

It's pointless taking Keto switch once you're in ketosis! It's good to get you back into ketosis quicker if you have a carb binge. I take Keto switch only on these occasions. I also use IF and fast for 20 hours and use a 4 hour window for cals. I am also using the Thermo switch which you can take as a thermogenic each day, I even add my own Beta Alinine, citruline mallate to the Thermo switch to boost it into a pre workout with great results.

What is the timeframe you need to drink the supplement and I have adopted a low carb diet but I don't really want to eat a lot of fat. Will this work without a keto diet?

I usually drink the supplement about half an hour before my workout.

As for the keto diet, it only really works as keto if it puts your body into ketosis. This is when the body produces higher levels of ketones in order to burn fat rather than carbs or protein as it’s main fuel source. The increased levels of ketones in the body improves its efficiency at burning the extra fat stores. To get into ketosis, you’d usually need to get 60-70% of your energy from natural, non-saturated fats (ie nuts, seeds, oils, animal products etc.) This particular supplement basically dumps a heap of extra ketones into the body to make it easier to get into ketosis.

If you’re not wanting to go on a keto diet, I’d probably try a thermogenic supplement instead - that would boost your metabolism and energy more efficiently. This supplement wouldn’t really do what you need it to do unless you’re on a keto diet.

Best of luck with the new diet!! Xo

Don't believe the hype and crap peddled about by so-called health guru's. If you eat less than 20-30 grams of carbs, 1 gram of protein per kg of body weight and drink at least 4 litres of water per day you will naturally go into ketosis. People waffle on about needing to eat huge amounts of fat, which is an utter load of crap. Go and ask any doctor who works in an ICU with ventilated patients about how much fat (zero) there is in the diets of those patients and how much weight they lose once they have gone into a ketogenic state. You will hear the guru's waffle on about macronutrients and all you need to meet your daily macro needs are good quality vitamin and mineral supplements. Maddy above has claimed that you need to get 60-70% of your energy from fat. If you follow the advice I have just given, you can ignore the high fat keto fad diet and you will naturally go into ketosis in around 72 hours.

Is this a meal replacement ?

It doesn’t have the calories or the nutrients to be a meal replacement, however it does have an appetite suppressant element. Many people on a ketogenic diet use an intermittent fasting option, and as this can be taken during a fast I guess technically it could be if you are on IF. I personally use 1 scoop to 500ml water when I wake up before exercise instead of breakfast, but I wouldn’t eat breakfast anyway as I am on a 16/8 IF. That said I wouldn’t use it as a typical meal replacement. Hope that helps!
