the machine does not have a lint filter and sometimes the clothes have needed extra cleaning to remove fluff. the agitator has popped off before as it is only held on by small plastic clamps underneath and there was a build up of lint and gunk around the shaft that had built up over time so I guess this does not help keeping it in place. the clothes tend to get wrapped around the agitator in a big knot so this would not help either with the weight especially when washing sheets and towels it, has damaged clothes once or twice. Its a quiet machine and easy to use but definitely needs a filter especially if your work clothes get fairly dirty.

    Not good

This machine is of no use if you have long sleeved shirts and long pants as the clothes become badly tangled and require ironing. Normally I can hang my clothes out carefully and they require minimal ironing, with this machine I waste time untangling a knotted mess of clothes that have become so wrinkled everything needs ironing......would never never buy similar machine again.....customer service was rude and unhellpful

    Low Tech meets my needs

    published

As a lifelong frontloader user I ended up with this model instead. All the new machines have so many useless electronic programs that I won't ever be using and are liable to costly repairs when malfunctioning.
I wanted something simple and basic that gives me full control and I have that with this machine. Not for everyone but perfect for my needs, I get to decide how long my washing cycle goes for, how much water etc. The spin dryer has a whopping 1350 RPM which means the washing comes out almost dry, especially useful in winter.

Hi Genevieve I just looked on their web page and they have new model twin tubs in 8-10 kgs that came out last year but they still haven`t got any pics etc of them. Perhaps they are coming out this year anyway look on their webpage. Your lucky your twin tub lasted that long mine only last about 2 and a half years with the spinner lid breaking. https://www.teco.com.au. Better Home Living still has twin tubs Haier/Lemair so does Retravision, Appliances on line I hope this helped.

Sorry John not a repair person wouldn't have a clue but I will say you might be told to get another washing machine unless it can be fixed. My machine only lasted 2.5 years then it went to the tip I'll never buy one ever again.

My lid broke on my twin tub, for my spinner, so how can i fix it? So that I can still use it, for now.

    Hi Crystal
You`ll have to ring Teco to see what they can do if it`s still under warranty they can fix it or they might give you a new one(I know alot of people had trouble ringing the Teco Customer Support) and when they had their machines fixed or replaced it didn`t last long until it happened again, you can`t fix it yourself because of the way they are made. I didn`t bother ringing and getting someone to come and fix it.
I took mine apart at the spinner and I found I couldn`t it wasn`t worth it because of the cheap plastic crap was broken . They only have a life between 2.5-5 years anyway I just used mine for a while wringing the clothes by hand which was a pain until I got a secondhand Auto machine. If you still want to buy another twin tub get an old secondhand one you can still buy them if you look online but don`t buy another new one because they won`t last learnt my lesson there big time especially paying out $600 for just over 2 years. Mine is now at the rubbish tip where it belongs. I hope this helped a bit.
