Sounds like a fault so bit of a concern. You can still use it but best to open and jiggle contents around to ensure heating of individual items

The timer will not turn the cooking process off. You will have to respond to the timer when it goes off and turn the Actifry off manually.

Hi I think something is wrong with it and it won't be worth fixing . Because it's 2yrs old it is out of warranty . Maybe if you rang Tefal they may help . It might just be something simple .Hope this helps.

Not sure what you mean by paddle but if your referring to the middle price that rotates, you put it back in the center and push it down til you hear a click. Hope this helps

Hi yes but just remember depending on what your cooking you may need to watch it doesn't burn as the paddle keeps the food moving so it cooks on all sides. Hope this helps.

There are other attachments that just the paddle it comes with n certain foods cook much better with them

Somethings knocked the timer on. I've had this before, as the timer runs on battery and not power

Hi I have heard they destroy the non stick beause they have propellant . This apparently is what can destroy the surface. Hope this helps

Sounds like it's broken.

I bought a Actifry snacking basket like the one in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-5D_toPOClw
It sits in place of the paddle and doesn't push the food around.
I cook chicken nuggets, fish fingers, chiko rolls, spring rolls... All sorts of things and have had no issues with food being squashed.
My kids even use it to reheat KFC or Fish and chips nicely.
You can buy them on ebay.
