Straight forward to use

published

Ever since i have purchased this product, it has made cooking in my kitchen so much easier and hassle free. The instructions were very easy to understand and follow. It requires very minimal oil to ensure a crispy meal and i can confirm that it fries potato chips very quickly.

Good choice if you want a simple way to cook

published

Not the same as the tranditional fried cooking, it seems a fast heating oven.
Could make food hard but not very crispy.
Easy to deal with the food with fat like chicken wings, pork belly. But the hot chips not that tasty from this fryer.
Easy to clean and store in your kitchen.

Great little machine

published

Use this thing weekly for anything I would normally oven bake. Draws fat from frozen chips amongst other food and remains delicious tasting. Just remember not to leave the spoon in, I did first time...melted.

Easy cooking

published

I bought it for Christmas and it makes deep fry much easier. Do not need oil, simply put lamb cutlet, chips, ribs and so on in it. Set timer and wait for it. Make me feel less guilty when u eat deep fry food. Easy to clean the pan with hot water .

Does the job!!

published

Cooks really well with only one tablespoon of oil. We tend to use it for frozen fries, wedges and fresh potatoes and sweet potatoes. Satisfied with the result and taste and healthier way of eating fried food. However, can’t put too much at the time and food sometimes tend to get stuck up at the lid

Not as expected

published

When it first came out like 5 years ago, I was really excited that I wont need to use the conventional pan with full of oil, however I was a bit disappointed with the tefal airfryer, to fry the potato chip would take more than 20mins till it gets to the crispiness that we can have in 10mins by using the conventional oven.

Good product

published

Generally, it is a good product. It is not very hard to clean. But the food it cooked is not like Philip air frier cook, they are totally different. I can’t cook chicken wings with bread on it, but it is perfect to cook wings with some soy sauce. It is more like a small oven rather than a frier.

Disappointed

published

The Tefal model is quite large compared to other airfryers I have seen, and despite its large size, I found that it could not fit as much as I thought. No temperature control either and the rotator/blade located inside the fryer is flimsy and ended up crushing my potato gems - created a mess. My food was not as crispy as I had hoped for; all in all, a big disappointment.

Works as an Air fryer should

published

Air fry is easy enough to use, large capacity. The only annoying thing is that it's noisey, rotates food and sometimes mashes it in the process. Otherwise, an efficient and healthy way to cook meals. Storage is a problem as the unit is rather huge but it is worth it.

Works well but design flaw.

published

The machine itself works well, but the attachment inside to rotate the food whilst cooking usually mushes the food inside it, although it's still edible it just doesn't look too appealing. Also the storage is a little tricky due to it being so big and round, which also makes cleaning difficult.

Good but with faulty design

published

Air fry is good and easy to use, does chips wedges and some stir fry cuisines. Save a lot time. it's kind of noisy and storage is a little tricky due to its size and our limited shelf space. and the silicone sealer under paddle is sticky to the pot in several months. I think this is a faulty design due to latest model removing this silicone sealer.

Fantastic product, great addition to the kitchen

published

Purchased this over a year ago and it definitely gets its fair share of use. Drop a bit of oil in there and it's pretty much as good as air drying!! And so much healthier! Definitely recommend this. Only downside is that it's slightly small, I'd go for the XL version if I had a choice.

Very nice

published

Bought this for our sharehouse, has so far survived heavy use and abuse with sometimes poor cleaning inbetween uses. A bit of a trifle to clean but as far as cooking goes it's simple and works very nicely. A bit healthier than frypan or shallowfrying but much more convenient than either, it's kind of noisy and storage is a little trickyt due to its size and our limited shelf space, but a decent machine overall.

great for chips

published

As said, does chips well, can add ingredients to spice it up like chilli flakes, garlic flakes, set and forget, timer works well, so serve when finished. Tried a few other ingredients with less success, but early days, need to learn how to do it. Minimum oil must be good.

Great for cooking chips

published

Use little oil, very healthy, nice chips and nothing to worry about. I use it every night to cook chips for my son, he loves it. Also try cooking chicken wings, crispy skin and no oil required. Healthy way of cooking. Highly recommend it. Cleaning is not too bad either

Remember its a Domestic Machine

published

The Tefal Actifry is a good domestic machine for cooking food with minimal oil, thereby providing a healthy option. The unit itself is noisy and bulky but does a good job. You need to be vigilant to clean the machine after each use otherwise it quickly builds up with baked on oil.

Disappointing

published

We bought this airfrier to try and get some fries for the kids, when entertaining, and busy dinners, but what a disappointment it was !
Potatoes come out soggy, they break during the cycle, others burn...
Temperature not always works well, am fine it cools everything unevenly .

We don’t use it anymore .

Awesome way to 'fry' food

published

Like crunchy roast potatoes in 35min? This is the thing for you then. We use this many times a week and it is now the only way we prepare roast veg alongside a roast dinner. We love that you just "chop and plop" and then pay attention to the rest of the meal while the Tefal stirs and cooks everything perfectly. Just buy it.
