A great all-round air fryer.

published

Overall very satisfied with this machine. Have had it for 2 years and use it regularly. As I cook roasts in my slow cooker, the air fryer is a better option for me than using the oven to do the roast vegetables. Rosemary roast potatoes are our favourite, and they go golden and crispy without having to use vast amounts of fat. The machine is relatively easy to clean and (I'll be honest) a challenge to store because of the size and shape, but I managed to make room for it.

Not worth the money

published

With two small children who love their nuggets and chips I thought this would be worth investing in. After about 12 months of use plastic bits start breaking and have to be replaced. With each part costing more and more it soon adds up to be a expensive investment. Cooked well when using for two people but the few times I tried cooking large amounts of chips it took a long time and they didn't cook properly. When the handle broke I vowed I wouldn't replace it as it's cost to much already!

No more burns from splattering oil!

published

I love this machine! No more oil wastage or worried about oil igniting.I was concerned that it took 30 minutes for the chips to cook but by the time I prepared the rest of the meal, time was up.I have a slight vision problem and this means I can have my chips cooked in a safer way for me.The unit is easy to clean and not many parts to clean. It is a bit cumbersome but light enough to carry.I am recommending it to all I know.

Simple frying without the mess

published

A little on the bulky side but very simple and efficient to use, just one small spoonful of oil and I get perfect fries every time. I have also used it for making a one pot curry and it turned out delicious, reducing the amount of pans and wash up needed. easy wipe clean surface, no need to scrub.

Brittle housing

published

I loved my machine. It worked well. But for a leading brand its housing and blade are useless.
For the price it didn't last long before it snapped the lid and blade rendering it useless. I did email the company ages ago but never heard anything back. I threw it out as a waste of money. Very disappointed!!

Melted Paddle

published

Our paddle just broke and since it's out of warranty Tefal won't replace it! The guy just kept saying "I don't know, I don't know" when I tried to explain to him it seems to be a common problem and should be replace for free! I'm not paying $50 for a part that's faulty.

Perfect Chips everytime without any Oil!!

published

I eat healthy and never used to fry chips because of the fat. When I got this and started using I didn't even need to use oil because I used the frozen chips from Woolies which turned out crispy and yummy for just 25mins. I keep it cooking on the side while I make other dishes.

Recommend it!

Great for fries

published

In my experienxe It is grear for fries and chicken wings but not so much for other food. However the enwrgy consumption is really high. If you fry potato alor, then go for it otherwise, i dpnt thunk is worth the price. It a alittle bit pricy in my opinion

Experimented with different foods

Love this, you do not need the paddle unless for fries, if coating anything, remove paddle drop in cook, It is a time cooking, just like your oven, only difference, this does exactly what it should at constant temp were ovens very.

So in closing paddle out, unless making fries,

We've not tried this as a general "Fryer" but we have tried everything to cook decent chips, it's why we bought it! All we get no matter what we try is soggy chips.
We've tried different potatoes, different oils, different cooking times, chips soaked to remove the starch, then dried
