Not just a laundry room item - added editing @ 25.03.20
This is an upgrade to their iron/steamers. It heats within 30 seconds, so no waiting around. The steam head has been re-designed from oval to a triangular shape. This is designed to get into tight corners. As per usual, has attachments included. An added bonus is the storage container for the attachments which is in the base. The water container is larger so less refills. Though the pressure of the steam is less powerful, an added boost button is in this design. Like a iron, the boost button has a minimal time limit. There is also the choice of...Read more
having the netted backing up/down. Benefits of up, almost like a vertical ironing board. Overall, pros and cons, but do thoroughly recommend. Definitely does cut ironing time and not a burden to iron. @ 25 March ‘20 I cannot bag the item, because it steams well. My addition to my review stands on craftsmanship. Been less than 1 year and unfortunately the safety barrier (cloth protects over hose) has come away from the steam head. This causes a safety issue as the hose heats up and the rubber is exposed to wrist - elbow. The more you use the steamer, the further down the protective wrap moves down. I got in contact with Tefal and followed their recommendations of organising a service outlet, only to be informed of at least 2 month completion before I get it back. (Due to parts having to come from France). Re contacted Tefal, who wasn’t very helpful at all. Lack of staff (1 person on, as stated by staff member, and wasn’t able to confer with anyone else. Also too, long waiting period and ‘sorry for the inconvenience’ a disappointment, as I have been very happy throughout the years with Tefal Irons/Steamers. Could be I bought a faulty steamer? Worst is the lengthy wait for parts and a product unable to use.Purchased in April 2021 at Costco SA, Adelaide for $169.99.

What is 90 minutes autonomy mean. Does it have auto shut off?

Hello, you have me stumped on ‘autonomy’. Checked and couldn’t find anything related to that part of the question. The steamer though, does not have an auto shut off. I continuously use for over an hour and hasn’t shut down. Just be aware on water level. My apologies on not being completely able to assist. Might need to contact Tefal on ‘autonomy’ meaning.
