Has anybody tried baking with it? How to put your batter inside, what do you use? Is it ok to use a dish, pan or pyrex glass inside to bake, grill or roast? Is it ok to use foil or baking paper inside while it's cooking? (I'm quite doubtful). I haven't used mine yet since buying it because I mainly want to try if it will be a convenient alternative to oven for like small portion preparations like mini cupcakes, empanadas and the like. And I haven't figure out or found the answer to what container is suitable and if foils and papers can be safe to use.

Hi john
Try to oil your meat first or brush the tray with oil

John

thank you very much for the reply, i tried but i wont solve the problem, when the meat/fish become heat, it slowly goes into the mesh, which itself is the upper tray and the bottom tray is pure metal tray, which is for the purpose of putting oil only. it seems that, it is a failure of manufacturer, they did not check with practical hassles.

Tefal doesn't have a manual / guide on its site for this machine at Jan 2022. Since an alarm means a danger - I hope you contacted Tefal!
Maybe food was touching the element...

You can put the cake in muffin papers or put a small cake tin in basket.

I have not made any cakes in it but anything that can go in an oven I'm sure would be fine as long as it fits in the basket.

I made cake in the philips . use any pan that fits the basket - maybe a 18 cm. Cook at normal (convection) oven temp but half the the time before skewer test. Result was perfect.

When I withdraw the drawer it keeps working! Why shouldn't it close automatically on withdrawal like other machines... Is this wrong in my machine or this is normal? It looks silly to me!

I have pretty much got used to how long it takes to cook most things now and if there is still a few minutes to go I remove the cooked food and turn the nozzle back down to it's lowest setting and shut the drawer again. Some food requires it to be pre-heated so can only assume it's ok for the air fryer to be still on if there is nothing in it.

This is the only air fryer I've owned so don't know how others work?

My machine does the same thing. I am pretty good at estimating how long things will take to cook now but if I do take something out early it keeps working until the timer goes back to zero so I guess this is just the way the machine operates.

I just turn it off at the wall switch, the timer runs itself off.

Sorry I don't know, I would suggest to ring the Company and enquire in case it would damage the mechanism.

It looks like you can't and you don't want to try and force just in case. When my food is cooked I remove the food and turn the dial down to 150. Usually there is only a few short minutes left. It says in the instructions for certain food it will need preheating, so I guess it's not going to do any damage having nothing in it.

I have only cooked frozen chips which require no oil at all. In the instruction book it says 1/2 a tablespoon for fresh chips.

okay thankyou so much, I read everything and only came up with pictures and no size of spoon.

In fact the oil is not consuming inside the Fry delight, half a spoon oil is enough, a part of it only will be consumed as steam. i used to throw out the left over oil after each frying or baking
