Website ordering PayPal and credit cards just don't work
Tried a ton of different cards, visa MasterCard and then PayPal, nothing works lost $500 order, site was ok had some decent stuff on it but its completely frustrating when a website isn't setup correctly and error messages don't help at all.

Five Star Customer Service!
I bought the Fiesta compact gazebo prior to Christmas, to be used for the first time on Christmas Day. Unfortunately the clips jammed, and we were unable to use the gazebo at Christmas. I emailed Tentworld a few days later, and they responded promptly, letting me know the steps to be taken to return the item to QLD. They also contacted me by phone, which they asked if was ok first. my return. They arranged a courier to pickup the gazebo from my home, then notified me when it arrived, and asked if I would prefer a refund or replacement? I chose a replacement, and asked if it could arrive at my home in Sydney, in time for us to take it away for the Australia Day long weekend? Tentworld said they would try, but couldn't make any promises. Sure enough, the gazebo arrived 30 minutes prior to us leaving, and we were able to use our replacement gazebo on Australia Day, and all was good. Definitely do not purchase anything from the TENTWORLD stores.
The Tentworld stores have been in business long enough to know about the Qld Consumer Laws that are in place to help protect the consumer but they blatantly disregard these laws. If you return something within a reasonable time frame because the item was faulty or it didn't do as the product description said it would then you are entitled to a full refund but not according to Tentworld. At best they will give you an in store credit. Watch this space...

Delivery not within timeframe, customer service quote their rules, unable to listen to what the real issue is
Expected delivery 2-4 days, I confirmed with courier on the Thursday it would be there by the Friday and they said yes. Did not arrive until Monday by which time too late. Tentworld keep saying estimated, however when someone's write 2-4 days then that is what is expected. Furthermore an agreement with their courier company that it would arrive by Friday constitutes an agreement. As a result I lost money by it not being there. Courier took ten days to deliver good then damaged it
We ordered a table and chairs from Tent World courier attempted delivery then when I selected redelivery it took ten days then they didn't follow instructions and threw the product over a fence and damaged it. Then tent world expect me to carry the 10kg package to a post office to have it returned to them when the reason I did online shopping was that me and my husband work all day and cant get to the shops. Then they suggested we sit at home all day so their courier can come get it . No words except don't order on line from them its too much drama

rom your comments it sounds like we've been trying to arrange to get the table returned so we can give you another one, but the issue is with trying to get it back to us. This is a major frustration for all online retailers, all couriers currently refuse to collect from unattended houses. If the item is able to go into Australia Post that is often a popular option for our customers, alternatively, if you do happen to have a Tentworld nearby - we can do an immediate exchange there. Never use Tentworld
Purchased a Coleman gold series 10 person tent from Tentworld. We are on an 8 week holiday, we previously to buying contacted there store in Ferntree Gully and they recommended this tent for our purpose. The fly ripped at the top of the tent after 4 weeks. Contacted Tentworld and they will not honour warranty as they said the tent is not a permanent structure and should not be used for 4 weeks continuously even though this is the tent they recommended for this purpose. Totally dissatisfied with Tentworld and will never recommend or buy from them again

They Use a Courier that Doesn't Deliver
Tentworld uses a courier that doesn't deliver. The Courier just leaves a card even if you're at home waiting, then dumps the goods at a shop about a km away. Tentworld demanded I should waste my time picking it up, refused to correct the failed delivery. It's been returned to them and I'm still waiting on a refund. They have advised they'll charge me for the delivery that didn't happen. Purchase goods from companies that don't use Courier Please.

Please be assured that we know how important carrier reliability is as part of our ecommerce experience. After careful evaluation we only added Couriers Please to our suite of carriers with TOLL & Australia Post approx 18 months ago to compliment our offering. So for you to have such problems with Couriers Please is disappointing. We pay alot of money to Couriers Please, so their performance must remain satisfactory as if they let us down we know that their performance can affect our customers perception of us. So we do monitor their performance continually. I have recorded this issue against their report card, and it'll be monitored & investigated with our account manager. The collect option that Couriers Please offer was seen as preferable to what Australia Post & TOLL offer - Toll depots are often far away & hard to access. Australia Post branches often operate very small hours making visiting difficult for some. IN regards to your refund, these are typically processed within 24 hours of their receipt into our warehouse. If you would like me to aid you with investigating this, I will need to know your name & order number. Please email this to [email protected]None of this explanation has delivered the goods. I've taken it up with PayPal because all mesages from Tentworld gave zero satisfaction. I suggest you look on these review pages at the complaints with your chosen courier company.

We always recommend that our customers for technical products such as the EvaKool fridge take them straight to the local repairer. This saves time for our customers as only Evakool repairers are qualified to be able to diagnose the fridge issues. It's also often helpful to have your vehicle there, as sometimes, when dealing with 12v - the vehicle can contribute to the issue. So its best that the fridge technicians hear the faults they're trying to diagnose directly from the owner. This prevents any loss in translation, and can vastly speed up the diagnosis. We've found that typically, if the customer takes the fridge to the repairer themselves, from drop off to collection it saves them at least 5-7 business days. If however, you do find that it's too inconvenient for you to take the fridge to the repairer - you are of course welcome to leave it with us and we'll arrange to get it to the repairer ASAP but please do be aware that this will result in slight delays for resolution. Unable to honour warranty
Purchased an $1800 tent from these guys and gave them 2 opportunities to fix the issues, in the end they blamed supplier and suppliers blamed them and we ended up with a leaky tent and an explanation that broken zippers and faulty stitching is general wear and tear.
The tent was used maximum of 6 times!
Any reputable business would never leave their clients losing out because if their issues with the supplier.

Oztent regarding your Jet Tent F25. I can see you've had some problems with the tent - which is disappointing for such a premium tent - definitely not what we hope for at all. Sorry about this. From the records I understand that your tent was repaired to be returned to you. Have you found these repairs not satisfactory? We typically do find Oztent to be fair with their warranty appraisals, and to reach suitable outcomes - however, mistakes do happen. warranty and the fixed the pole, did a half job on zipper so it still fails almost every time used and told me the failed stitching is general wear and tear. Seriously? No point fixing the pole and zipper if the tent has a hole in every corner. Your staff and jet tent then had the cheek to tell me you fixed these items as a favour as the day I dropped it off was outside warranty despite the fact I sent an email with photos inside warranty period requesting a refund or exchange. Please be assured that we're monitoring all products we sell for defect rates that are unacceptable and will promptly remove them from our range if we believe they will not deliver the best experience & damage our reputation. So I'm sorry that you have experienced this. Regarding the complaint you've made about us not offering to replace the bin. If you wish for us to send you a replacement, we are happy to do so. The only reason we did not offer that to you, is that in your original email to us when advising us of the defects - you specifically requested a refund. This is an excerpt from your original email to us: "It has not had any rough handling or storage and it is already falling apart. I would like a refund as it is not fit for purpose." Seeing you specifically requested a refund - we did not see the purpose in offering a replacement. I hope with the above information you can understand why we did not offer exchange, and only agreed to issuing you with a refund. Regarding our request for you to destroy the item. In certain situations, where we can see that the item is unrepairable, or uneconomic to repair/salvage - we will at our discretion choose to have items destroyed at the customers location. This is to save the hassle for the customer in returning the item, and the return freight costs we would incur whilst meeting our obligations to our suppliers (By removing faulty goods from the marketplace). I hope the above goes some way to explaining why we've done what we have done. In regards to your refund. I can see that you completed the warranty refund process midday yesterday so your refund will be issued today. IF there is anything else I can help with please let me know. Burliegh Store
I know each store is different, and faulty products can be frustrating to deal with both the customer and the store.
My experience is only with staff in the store, it has been very positive. Each time i was there plenty of staff, always offered help when walking in store. They offered extra help and when i asked for help using an item just purchased more than happy to help with simple request.
I prefer to go here that big branded stores, lots of products and friendly service for the Burleigh store.
Remember people are more inclined to leave a bad review than a good one. But if you have bad experience you should let people know.

Great customer service
Brought a swag on the weekend from Tentworld Ipswich and when unpacking, one of the spreader poles was slightly dented preventing it from extending properly. Took it back to the Ipswich store next day and they replaced the faulty pole straight away with another one. I was extremely worried I was going to have to wait or receive poor customer service from reading the reviews on here. So was very impressed and appreciative with the Ipswich Tentworld staffs help. I have brought numerous supplies over the years from Tentworld they have a great range and quality camping gear. Thanks for always providing a great experience.

Very disappointed with Dometic
We bought a Dometic Porta Potti from Tentworld.
We filled the top up with water and it was leaking.
Took it to Tentworld and were told that we had to take it up with Dometic.
Not impressed.
We took it to the Dometic Service Center and they told us that they have no idea how long it would take.
We have been waiting two weeks and we have only now received a replacement water tank, and it looks old and second hand with all the marks on it, dust in the joints and water around the cap.
Very disappointed with Dometic's so-called after sales service.

ur review about the Dometic warranty process & your experience with us. We are required by Dometic to send warranty applications to the service centre, so whilst I agree with you it can be frustrating, this is what Dometic - our supplier require of us. I am unsure why the service centre would have told you anything different, as this is how they make money. If you can let me know the name of the service centre, I will enquire with them as to why they would be advising this. But overall, this confuses me as their business & how they make money is with inspecting & repairing warranty items. We will take this complaint, and present it to our Dometic agents so that they're aware of how their policies effect our customers experiences. I remember taking extra time after eating dinner to reply to your email ASAP so that I could try to have you sorted for the weekend. I watched my inbox like a hawk the next day expecting the reply, and so that I could take action to sort you out. I was surprised when I got nothing back.. Its strange that the service centre is so abrasive about all this. I had presumed they made money from all claims, but in all truth - I do not know how their business model works - only that we cannot handle Dometic warranty claims, and that they do & somehow they earn money from Dometic for handling this - though perhaps not on all cases?? I do not know. Otherwise why bother being the service agent? I do understand your experience with Dometic in this instance has not been ideal. However, be assured that if problems with Dometic were regular & if we had to put this extra level of customer service into the sales process every time, we would quickly exit the support & distribution of Dometic. We much prefer to sell good gear, to happy customers, and to only see our customers when they return from their holidays keen to tell us how well their gear performed. Faulty Product & Terrible Customer Service
I received a faulty tent after purchasing online. TentWorld customer service team have advised that it is “unlucky” to have received a faulty item and will not exchange or refund on the item, they will only process a warranty repair. The product is new and unused and arrived faulty - somehow this is my fault and considered “unlucky” to receive a faulty item. Totally unacceptable customer service.

I went to your Coopers Plains store to ask for price matching on supa-peg 225mm tent peg.
1. The manager is refused as "there is not worth for them to match .29 cent cheaper at Snowy Store in Brendal". This is disgusting. Yes, as a customer, it is worth every single cents for me.

disgusting & underhanded customer service
I called your Coopers Plains store to ask for your best price on a Joolca hot water system. The guys reply was to come to the store if serious to discuss hes best price. We drove 45 mins to the store to be told they don't do any discount pricing on Joolca. The attitude was very snide & condescending when we explained what we had been told over the phone. We have used Tentworld a lot over the years but wont be going back any time soon. As fortune would have it Joocla was doing a 10% off on e-bay so we took up this offer. Karma perhaps? If any one is chasing Joolca check e-bay first.

I have just taken a look at Joolca on eBay, and I am not able to see any special offer on their units - I will discuss this with Joolca however, as they are our partner - we support them by stocking their units, displaying them and advertising them & it is not acceptable for them to offer promotions that our customers are not eligible for and is not in the spirits of a healthy partnership. However, what I suspect has actually happened is that you've been given a discount offer from eBay themselves, not Joolca. Often, eBay themselves do sometimes have offers - which comes from eBay themselves - so I'm glad you were able to get 10% off but Joolca still get their full payment. Typically, the Joolca units are not eligible for any discount, as the model Joolca have chosen is to choose an aggressive, fair price & to then just sell. Rather than forcing customers to wait for when they come on special etc. We do support Joolca with this strategy, and our customers appreciate this knowing that whenever they choose to buy - they're not paying too much. I appreciate you taking the time to leave us with this feedback, I will be discussing with the team how we deal with phone enquiries like yours, what we could have done better, and how we could have handled your enquiry instore that could have resulted in you being happy with your experience - rather than compelled to write bad reviews. These guys go way beyond the ordinary!
In our 60's, I have been able to talk my husband into going camping again! The guys at Tent World were really helpful and understanding of our need for the odd bit of comfort. They went beyond what you would expect from great sales staff in helping us put together what we needed.

Hey Tentworld can you explain to me why you think it’s ok to ask a customer who received a damaged product from your warehouse to destroy the damaged product and sent photographic evidence that it has been destroyed to the point it is no longer able to be used before you send a replacement? Not very ethical if you ask me!

Hi TC123, we agree with you that it's very wasteful and we'd much prefer that things could be repaired than destroyed when they have faults. This would be much better for the environment, and is something that we try to do as much as we can. We are constantly pushing for our suppliers to develop products that are easily repairable & serviceable rather than disposable items. Sadly, in our current economic environment the costs of repairs are often not practical or are too inconvenient for our customers. Many of our suppliers require us to return the goods to them so they can inspect them to take notes on what failed in their items for future upgrades. After inspection, they typically will then destroy them whilst salvaging as many parts from it as practical. However, in some cases where there is no practical salvage possible, and our suppliers do not need to physically inspect the goods prior to destroying them in some instances we offer the option of destroying the goods themselves at their own home - rather than having to arrange the return of the goods to us. This is offered as a convenience to our customers to be able to destroy it themselves, rather than going through the hassle of arranging to get the goods back to us. Sadly, whilst delivering items is very easy - arranging couriers to collect from residential homes is still very very frustrating - so we try to avoid putting our customers through this if we can. This does also reduce our carbon footprint slightly, because ultimately if the goods are being destroyed in your home - they would be destroyed upon their return to the supplier but a whole lot less fuel has gone into producing the same end result. We are fortunate some of our suppliers allow us to offer this to our customers. This need to return the goods prior to replacement is typical from any retail store before theyre replaced. The act of destroying & us then replacing is mimicing that in-store experience without the hassle of having to arrange for it to be returned to us. I hope that this explains this better. It would just end up another piece of garbage in a landfill I would suggest letting us donate the slightly damaged product to charity and sending a replacement ASAP this not only satisfies your customer it also lowers waste and your “carbon footprint” I don’t think I am being unreasonable
Additionally, how is it convenient for the customer to have to destroy something? As a customer one should expect to receive an undamaged product, it is understandable that these things happen however when they do I believe it is the responsibility of the seller to promptly issue a replacement. Don’t you agree?

ouriers Please to reach the same levels of satisfaction as our other courier partners - Australia Post and Toll. Both do very well, for the vast majority of the time & sadly - their reviews they receive on Product Review do not nearly accurately represent the total level of satisfaction that they deliver........ Sadly, sometimes they bomb out and it's only these customers who do write reviews of Courier Companies (and us) - but all the happy ones are off using their new gear, and thinking nothing of the seamless delivery service they experienced.... Sorry that you were part of the small minority who did not enjoy a good service from Couriers Please. I'm confident should you try them again - you'll find this to be different.
