Really reliable product
I didn't intend on buying The Farrah by Halo when my old straightener broke. However I am so glad that I did. It was recommended to me by one of the staff at the store i bought it from. I was in a rush as it was the day before I was leaving to go overseas so I didn't even bother researching it. I am so happy with this product. It makes my hair so much softer than the previous straightener that i had does. I love the digital screen so you can see exactly what temperature you are using. I also love that it can be used around the world no matter the voltage in the power point. It's very streamline and sleek and I will never go back to another brand!

The packaging was really pretty too!

Amazing
I thought I knew what having a hair straightener was like, but boy I was wrong. When the chick at the store recommended it, I was a little hesitant because of it being the very first one I found. But I'm glad that I went with it, because once I tried it, I could instantly feel the difference on my hair! It's much more lighter, and the feel is so smooth, it also takes about one or two strokes for a length of my hair to be completely straightened! If you're a frizzy/curly haired girl, in need for a good straightener, this is the one *\o/*

excellent
This is the 1st straightener that I have found that works on my type of hair. If you have frizzy curly & thick hair. ...this is the one for you. I tried Remington ceramic but was useless for my hair. Also has a 60mins automatic switch off which is great.

I do not recommend this bad product at all!
I bought this item a few months ago from hairhouse warehouse, since the lady working there recommended me "the Farrah" by Halo. Not even a week later,I realized that there was a problem around the switch, the switch was so lose. Every time I was straightening my hair, the product kept locking and I had to unlock it all the time and it was really frustrating. So I went back to the shop and asked for a replacement. The second one was working fine for some time and I was glad, but that didn't last for so long. After a couple of months, I had exact...Read more
ly the same problem as the first one but even worse, one plate was not heating at all. I went back to the shop and they told me it's not in their hands anymore since it was two months after purchase and that I needed to contact the Halo company. So i did as they told me, called them a few times and sent the hair straightener so I could get a refund. Of course, it turns out that they do not refund eventhough their products are not working properly!! They told me I need to speak to Hairhouse Warehouse to get a refund. So I did that and I am still waiting for their decision. Main points, this product is to overpriced for what it is, faulty and I really do not recommend it at all! I used a few hair straighteners in my lifetime and that was definitely the worst one I ever had. Hope this review is helpful.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Bad and definitely over priced product
Thank you ladies for sharing your experiences. Alas I checked it after purchasing one and had a bad experience.
Today I bought one from, hairhouse warehouse at Westfield Bondi junction. The sales lady said she uses it for her hair so I bought it
It was terrible. You'd think it's a faulty item or something, and there is a big gap between blades although I followed the instructions and took two inches lock with quarter inch thick.
Luckily I went back same day and asked to return it and for refund. The staff were a bit rude and said it is actually better than GHD because it was made in Korea! While GHD is made in China where there is not quality meterelogy and standards. Duh!
I'd say: A babyliss straighters are way better than this thing.

halo straightener doesn't even heat
Was talked into buying a halo hair straightener from hairhouse warehouse. It is rubbish. The plates din't and have never heated properly. Compared to my using my friend's ghd, the halo takes double the amount of to e to get even remotely straight hair. So angry that I wasted my money!!! Looking for a better product now.

Poorly made, poor customer service to follow
I have had trouble with cheap hair tongs for so long, I was advised by my sister (who has had her GHD for 4 years) to finally buy something that was quality. Enter Halo Farrah.
After using this product for 2 weeks, a clip/piece at the front that only served as aesthetics, fell off while using it. I should have taken it back then, but against my better judgement, I decided not to as this did not affect the operation of the tongs.
They worked well, as any other hair tongs would. However, 9 months later they did not work as they should ha...Read more
ve - one of the plates did not heat up. I took them back to Hairhouse Warehouse and they advised me that one of the plates was not working at all and the 2nd plate was not nearly hot enough. After sending the tongs to Sydney at my own expense, the Halo team denied any manufacturing fault as they said "it has become apparent to us that the iron has been dropped or mishandled this is made evident by the loose plates and the front clip that is missing. Unfortunately due to this we are unable to replace your product". I can guarantee that they were not dropped - they were a prized item on my dresser. I am not looking for a replacement, I just want the $179 hair tongs to work longer than 9 months. I can just as well go buy cheap tongs that will last 9 months or spend $30 more and buy a real pair from a real brand!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Perfect for my hair
After reading the reviews on here I was nervous, even though the guy at hair house warehouse compared the GHD and the Farrah on my hair at the shop, After opening my Farrah I was pleasantly surprised it heats up super quickly I have thick coarse super long hair (past my butt) and the GHD just didn't hold the temp and I had to go over it 2-3 times. The Farrah was one stroke. It has different heat settings so you can put it on a lower setting if your hair is finer but I used it with a heat protectant spray on 230 degrees and it didn't burn, left it shiny and gorgeous. I love it and would recommend it to people with similar hair type as mine.

Do not purchase this product
Brought this on the trusting advice of Hair House Warehouse while on Holidays as Cloud Nine broke. Lasted 5 days and on returning to Geelong went to return and advise has burnt hair and advise would replace but not refund as franchise. They continued to recommend so believed just a faulty product. Hair continues to burn. Been back tw ce and told would not have sold for my hair but still wont replace just sell products. Given up and researching to purchase a new one. Waste of 200 dollars plus 80 of products that dont work and has damaged my hair. Do not trust Halo or Hair House Warehouse

Dont buy this product
I recently purchased the Farrah straightener after my GHD broke. Long story short I used it for only the second time and it burnt an entire section of my hair off and the plates melted. Obviously a faulty product. The company were less than helpful and will never buy anything from this range again.

Wish I'd bought something else
The plates on this straightener do not close properly - they do not meet. There is quite a large gap. I returned it only to be given another straightener with the same problem. I find that it is not straightening my hair properly because of this (I have thick, curly & frizzy hair). I had my last GHD for 6 years and for the price of it I was hoping for the same out of the Halo. Unfortunately I will be looking at buying a different brand (when I can afford it).
Digital temperature display
Expensive at $199.95. Plates do not close/touch. Does not straighten my hair very well.
