Too many staff have no idea what they're doing
I recently sold an investment property in Tasmania and was using Think Conveyancing for settlement but have since changed my mind. I live in Victoria so wanted someone competent who would take care of everything for a simple sale (which is normally the case with professionals) but unfortunately Think Conveyancing seems to have too many staff members that have no idea how to do their job or perhaps simply don't care. I was assigned Hutson Tan and this guy honestly has no idea. He was giving me instructions on what I had to do to get things re...Read more
ady for settlement (seems he wasn't going to do anything at all) and when I questioned this I just kept getting fobbed off by him and everyone else. In the end I rang their main office (Hutson works from home so you're just given a mobile number which 95% of the time he doesn't answer) and DEMANDED to speak to a manager, after 45 minutes on hold and numerous excuses that no-one was available (which I wouldn't accept) I was finally put onto a woman who actually just gave the excuse "there has just been a misunderstanding" and seemed to be trying to blame the problems on me!!! I got EXTREMELY angry and was then told I could find someone else if I preferred so in the end that's what I did. I was starting to think there must be a lot of differences between settlement in Victoria (which I have been through a number of times) and Tasmania but the next company I spoke to (who is now looking after me) confirmed that I was correct and shouldn't have been asked to do all the things that Hutson from Think Conveyancing was telling me I had to do ie the most worrying one was that I had to send the money directly to the Real Estate Agent for their commission on sale prior to settlement. I honestly don't know what you would be paying Think Conveyancing for as they weren't going to do much for me PLUS they couldn't even get the settlement date right - it was different on their documentation (2 weeks late) compared to the contract that both myself and they had received so they probably wouldn't have even attended settlement! I would not recommend this company to anyone unless you want to find yourself up the creek without a paddle with your simple settlement falling through and costing you $$$$$.

Terrible - Don't use this service
Underquoted to get business. After all costs, worked out $400 more, which would of paid for a better conveyancer.
Suggested there was a cooling off period and asked me if like to proceed. There was not one!
Switched solicitor from trainee to a senior. The senior was much better and wished I had her all alound.
Asked for a cheque, when only could settle electronically.
Asked the same questions many times and had to repeat myself.
Never explained the process. Had to figure it out myself.
Claimed I did not pay bill after they issued me a receipt.

Why unless you provide compensation for my time spent on this? I’m not improving your service for free.

Its a "NO star review"
Unconscionable practice....complete lack of communication, you end up doing most of the work yourself, this mob operate I believe out of a "online car boot" with a "come all call centre". I eventually terminated, was charged for services not finished, solicitors uncontactable, they "back door your credit card", dont adhere to they're given quote and finally I was held to ransom by them refusing to hand over my contract until I paid a breaking fee, I paid them to read my contract x2 in all essence.... they had already back "doored my card" but t...Read more
hey dont even know when & what each charlatan is up to, to be able to even appear somewhat professional...I'm assuming they are all straight out high school. Utterly infuriating getting pushed from pillar to post. Avoid avoid avoid. You will go 'barking mad' with these clowns!!Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Very Happy Clients
The service and follow up from Think Conveyancing was professional, efficient and friendly. The team that assisted us kept us informed and after the settlement occurred we were phoned and congratulated on the sale of the property, which we found to be a very nice personal touch. We would not hesitate to use the team at Think Conveyancing again.. and we will as we have another property underway. Thank you.

Made a difficult time very easy....
What was supposed to be a simple real estate purchase became increasing difficult to due my work location (FIFO out of WA) and some shoddy bank incompetence..It was a stressful time as it was extremely hard for me to tayy in direct contact with my conveyancer Samantha Martin at Think Conveyancing. She was incredible with not only dealing with the bank, but also the seller who had every right to pull out of the contract. Sam went way and beyond what was necessary. I appreciate the effort and patience she provided us. I was extremely happy with Think Conveyancing and would highly recommend using their services again..

Amazing service!
We elected to buy on 14 day terms and relied on Thinkconveyencing to complete all the necessary paper work and settle on day 14.
All went without a hitch and we are now settled in our new home thanks to Emily at Thinkconveyencing.
