As you can see mostly one star here and on Google review, they do not accept any claim. They refuse always with an excuse to do not have responsibility or do not cover what you claim.

I was happy to know TID insurance was there even though I didnt need it. My trip went smoothly and I was thrilled to spend quality time with my daughter and newest granddaughter. Thanks for being there if I needed you.

I had some moderately bad ear issues for 3 months of my policy. I had to contact numerous times and make several claims. The emergency medical assistance team is super quick and productive in their responses. Their claims team is likewise very professional. There is a reason why their reviews are so high. I've been using TID for a few years now and find piece of mind knowing that my travel is covered with an Australian based insurer.

I haven’t had to make a claim, thankfully, but the price for the coverage I required was great. Especially the medical cover as we were going overseas to China followed by a cruise.

I lost my phone overseas, this was already trouble enough as I had only got it a month before my trip. Instead of helping me with the service they claim to provide, I was greeted with a 'too bad, so sad'. They would not cover my claim as I had "all reasonable precautions to safeguard the items you have claimed for have not been taken". This is what I get for going to another country to help those in need. Don't bother with insurance if they are just going to pocket your money and shut you off.

Choosing a travel insurance company can be time consuming and a bit of pain, but it's not the case for me as I always go with TID. They are straight forward and cover what I need!

Great holiday, did not need to make a claim. But the lead up to leaving was stressful as my wife had a small operation on her hand, followrd by a minor healing issue. The doctor only gave her permission to travel overseas two days before we left. It was comforting to know that if we could not fly out at least we could replan our trip and fly out later without the financial worry of paying twice. Thanks TID

TID is definitely competitive with other insurance companies - I got offers from several which we turned down in favour of TID.
On last year's trip to S Africa I was mugged and robbed, kept my receipts and TID paid up in full. Which went a long way to making up for the mugging.

Felt safe as always with TID cover for our trip.
Policy was a breeze to setup as usual.
Did not require to make a claim but had our accommodation "dis-honored" as Chinese Hotel has no arrangement with a well known "on-line" accommodation provider. Wondered if TID cover such events. Ended up with a great holiday however as hotel offered equivalent room and negotiated a reasonable package.

It's a must have item when traveling just to safe guard against having a problem overseas. I've used TID now for many years and haven't ever had the need to claim but the policy is easy to set up and apply for on line.

I have just returned from another trip which I used Travel Insurance Direct for my coverage. I did not make a claim this time. I have however in the past made a claim with them and the experience was relatively smooth and trouble free. Purchasing the insurance is online, fast and easy. Their app is also useful as it knows your destination and provides useful tid bits about where you are holidaying. If you cant afford travel insurance, you cant afford to holiday. This inexpensive easy option provides the necessary piece of mind.

While not a fan of on-line claims, the process was quite painless and the claim was processed efficiently and with no fuss or question. You always need your paper work as proof but this is the second claim I have made and thus far all I can say is that TID have been easy to deal with and I will definitely be taking out my 4th policy with them later this year.

very satisfied as I had to extend the travel insurance dates, Staff were friendly and very helpful. Extremely easy to complete the online policy and the cover is second to none. We have used TID often and will be using it again.

I've used TID before. Once again they've taken the hassle out of getting insurance on the go. My ski policy was great value, and it was simple to sign up for!

This was our third policy with TID. As always was easy to set up and very good value. In the past have relied solely on credit card-provided coverage but now don't travel without a TID policy.
