Hi, I'm currently using a Sleepmaker Classic Memory Foam pillow which I am very happy with. It has a zip off soft cover and inside that there is a yellow type foam with little breather holes close together in rows about an inch apart. It looks about 8 or 9cm thick. Do you have anything that could be similar? This Sleepmaker is retailing for $199 in Harvey Norman which I am happy to pay, but I refuse to shop at my local store because their customer service has been apalling with a stove and dishwasher that I have had troubles with. Many thanks, Linde

Hi Linde. The short answer is no - we don't have anything similar. Memory foam is made from visco polyurethane (an oil derivative), while all our pillows are made from natural latex (from rubber trees). There is a big difference in feel. Memory foam slowly sinks inwards with the weight of your head and cradles it, then slowly recovers. Talalay process latex is softer, but pushes outwards - providing better comfort and the required support. We have one 'memory foam one side and latex on the other' in our range, but it will feel firmer than your Sleepmaker pillow. Hope this helps! Tim from TLC.

Hi, my father (85yrs old) has a c2 fracture which will never heal. What would be the best, most comfortable and supportive pillow for him?

Hi Mia.There are many pillows in our range that are both very comfortable and supportive. We think THE THERAPEUTIC is most likely the best option for him - it is flexible in that he can sleep with either the high side (12cm) or the low side (10cm) closest to his neck. It is medium density. If you feel he may prefer something softer, then THE SOFT might be a good alternative. It is medium height, but feels lower because of it softness and provides the required support and is ever so comfy. Hope this helps!

Hi I have severe neck issues and have injections regularly. I would like a pillow that might help, as I don't think my present one is doing me any favours! I am a side sleeper. After reading all your reviews I would appreciate your advise.
Thank you

If you are a medium to small frame the TLC latex Soft pillow is good for side sleeping. I use this one as I am a small frame and like a very soft pillow, but also support as I have osteo arthritis in my neck and some spine areas. If you are a bigger frame maybe the Classic, or if you like a firmer feel the Firm one. The pillows give, but only to your weight, not flattening out. Also are not too high in loft. Hope that helps. But the company is great, if you send them a query, they answer helpfully and truthfully. Also they do honour their refund policy.

Hello Shirley Pittock. I would advise that the Classic pillow is a medium firm pillow, ie not too soft or too firm. I find this pillow supports me well and is comfortable for me, however, I don't have osteo arthritis.

Hi Shirley. There are a number of pillows in the range that provide the support and comfort required to help neck pain. For most people, either THE CLASSIC or THE BIG, which are both medium height and medium density, do the job perfectly. If unsure and needing further assistance, you should use the Pillow Selector on the website https://www.tlclatexpillows.com.au/catalogsearch/advanced/

Are these cool pillows? I constantly turn my pillow over because I am a hot sleeper. I was looking into buying a gel pillow but thought I would ask considering all the positive reviews you get. Cheers :)

Yes Dave. The Talalay manufacturing process for latex pillows creates an open cell structure meaning all the little air pockets are joined together so the entire pillow can breathe and sleeps cool.

Hey Dave, I reckon it's awesome and if you're asking whether being latex/rubber, it gets warm – I'd say no. It is firm for support and yet soft for comfort. And the fact that it'll last for 10–15 years is a great investment because with the cheaper pillows, you'll have to change them every 2 years. Just email or speak to the helpful staff and they'd be able to recommend the right pillow for you.

I need a medium to thick pillow that supports my neck and keeps my head level therefore easing pressure on my shoulders, for 2 reasons 1) disc pain in neck and 2) need to sleep more on my sides to help alleviate snoring (sleep apnoea) but shoulder pressure (on nerves) causes both arms to tingle waking me up. Also where can I purchase one?

Hi Trevor. We think our TLC THE THERAPEUTIC (medium) is the best option from our range, from what you have told us. It offers excellent support and is highly recommended by health professionals for people that suffer neck or shoulder pain. It is a contour style pillow that is versatile in that you can sleep with either the higher, or lower side next to your shoulder - whichever works best. If you prefer a traditional shape pillow, then we suggest THE BIG. Our prices are ultra competitive because we only sell via the internet and you can order online at www.tlclatexpillows.com.au Regards, Tim from TLC.

Before I logged in and posted to this site, I was sure there used to be links for the websites for these pillows? I can't find that any more. What is the company's website?

Thanks, zknight. I rang Myers about the pillows last week, but realised afterwards that I hadn't specified TLC. I asked them about talalay latex pillows, but the woman I spoke to said they had the Dunlopillo ones, which, of course, were not the same ones.

Are the TLC pillows for back sleepers or side sleepers or both? Are they firm?

I have 3 different TLC pillows, for sleeping on back or side, I would recommend the classic or medium profile therapeutic. The classic feels a little softer, but therapeutic has a bit better support which helps if you get a sore neck. If I sleep on my stomach, I use the low profile pillow. I love all of them, very comfortable.
