How do you get the milk from the pump into the bottle. It just pools up and floods back on to my nipple. There seems to be nowhere it can go to filter through into the bottle.

We just noticed the same thing, that one of the valve that comes with the kit seems doesn't have an opening at the lower part, the other one is fine. You can either try to use the other valve (comes with the kit) or use a small knife to cut a small horizontal opening, so the milk can flow into the bottle. Also make sure you clean the opening after each use to keep it hygiene. It's weird to hear that not just me having this issue with one of the valve. Perhaps need to ring their bell to see what's going on.

Happened with mine too. I pulled the valve apart at the seam and now it works as expected

We too had the issue and it was doing our head in until I did some research and stumbled upon this. Good to see we weren't idiots and pumping incorrectly. There should be a notation in the instructions about this issue.

Hi Corrie, the motor is not loud - as far a sounding weird, I have not heard another unit so can't compare it.
Not sure if the question is about general noise or if it sounds weird or loud could be the reason for the pump being ineffective.

Have these problems with the Tommee Tippee electric breast pump been fixed? I'm due in April and looking to purchase an electric pump. I'd like to buy whole range of Closer to Nature bottles etc but if pump is no good am worried the other products won't be compatible. Has there been a response from Tommee Tippee in relation to this problem?

Hi Baby1307, Unfortunalty I can't say if the product has been updated, we are going to stick with the manual pump for now - having spent a fortune on the Tommee Tippee range I don't want to buy more pumps and bottles that are not compatable. I live in Seychelles and everything here (that is available) is so expensive. We gave to eletric pump another try following the instructions in case we were just not doing something right but same non productive results. The suction is just to poor. Other than that all the other products we are very happy with. If only they made a feeding and burping robot for the night time! All the best for April.

Hi there, the product has not been updated as far as I know. My baby is only 2 months old as well. However, Tommee Tippee are bringing out a whole new range to replace Closer To Nature called Miomee. The pump for that range looks like it's got some improvements, but I wouldn't know how it works. If you haven't purchased your bottles yet, I would hold out and buy the Miomee bottles (if they're avaliable in your area) instead of the Closer to Nature, as the Miomee and Closer to Nature aren't compatible. They're almost the same, I guess they've just improved them. Good luck.
