excellent design - so far bullet proof
I mow acres of parkland and used to do it on an Australian designed and built Cobber out front deck with hydrostatic drive; I thought nothing could touch it. It was 25 years old and when the repairs got too much, I bought an as new Toro Groundsmaster 7200 and what a surprise;it is beautiful and works like a good mower should. On top of that, the design is very well thought out and built like a Sherman tank. filled the front castor wheels and made labyrinth seals for the axles to prevent grass wrap on the axles. The biggest thing I noticed about this mower when doing my research was the solidity of the driveline and the airflow through the mower; grass does not build up inside the engine/hydro pumps compartment and this is important. Everything stays cool even when tackling grass over a foot high and turning it into "lawn" in one pass. The deck gear box could be a bit bigger and easier to check and service but I am sure Toro will get to these things as they keep improving the product; very happy to recommend the mower.Similar opinion? Groundmaster is great
I work for a dealership that sells toro mowers and a few other popular brands, to be honest I have found that the smaller toro's are easier to maintain and are basic but quality. The larger Groundmaster Is top quality, it has incredible ground speed and doesn't make the same irritating noise the petrol motor mowers make, I think it's only downfall is it may be too complicated/hard to service and maintain forsay an elderly person/mother ect
Fast,neat and will save money in the long term
Some may find it hard to maintain
