I bought this mower because of its wider cut and the fact that it is self propelled. I generally enjoy using it as it almost halves the time taken with my old mower but still gives me some exercise that I wouldn't get had I bought a ride-on. The choice of mulch, catch or side eject is appreciated.

A big 30 inch cutting width - it's like standing behind two mowers welded together. This is the best feature.
Fits through standard single gate.
Starts well... I've had the mower for a few months now.
The catcher's pretty big and easy to put on and take off.
Despite its size it's pretty easy to handle.
You can disengage the blades while still being able to power the mower along - I like this feature.
You can use it without the catcher using a mulching plug, and it mulches pretty well.

I mow about one acre with 35 trees. Did it in two and a half hours. My previous ride-on took over 3 hours even though it was a hydro with easy back and forwards. The time is saved on the trees and other obstacles. I tossed up this with a 38” ride-on but bought this for the price and the exercise. I realise most people won’t rate the exercise as a factor. I've only been using this mower for one season but its been real good so far. I'm impressed. The bad points are that it has a relatively small petrol tank, so best not to get too far away from the petrol supply. The cutting deck clogs up with grass in wet long grass and can be inconvenient to keep clearing. If the grass is just a bit long then side-discharge mode seems to help a lot. This mower is very well built. The 30 inch cut really does save lots of time on a larger yard. It advertises a 40% advantage, I believe it virtually halves my cutting time. As previous reviews have indicated, one of the GREAT advantages of this mower is the manoeuvrability. It is very well balanced and turns 90/180 degrees extremely easily. It is easy to pull back when using "push/ pull" in tight spots like any mower.

This is a monster of a push mower to look at BUT has surprisingly good handling if you let it
Do all the work instead of trying to man handle it.
Very heavy duty..and you can see it is built to last. It's claimed to save upto 40% on using a standard mower.
I can say this is true if not more so. being 30 inchs across, it has a large foot print but will fit through all our gates.
It also is far easier to pull start than any "normal" mower I've ever owned.

In a nut shell FANTASTIC, I even use it for my smaller property just to save time.

For the money, this is one of the best mowers I've used. The cutting width is massive, it's got plenty of power for thick, wet grass, I've had no problems with it bogging down. I can mow a 12,000 sq ft yard in about an hour. The self-propelled mechanism takes some getting used to but once you do get used to it it's quite natural, varying the speed is simply a matter of walking faster or slower; the machine will respond accordingly.
