Ample space and comfortable seats. Good acceleration. Mechanically very reliable, low maintenance costs and great longevity. Average fuel consumption for 2.4L model. Safety is average for its size. Highly recommended overall.

Reliable car with low cost

published

I have a 2009 camry for five years. Previously used it for UBER driving and now just used for weekend with low meters. In a nutshell, this car has good quality with low cost on repair, although it consumes a lot compared to other new models.

Purchased in May 2021 for $110,000.00.

Great car,with limitations

published

I have a 2009 Camry Grande bought 2nd hand.
Very comfortable as it has adjustable lumbar support, dual zone climate control, leather seats, sunroof, reversing camera etc.
Mainly used on long distance trips,i only have 2 gripes with it.
I'm over 6ft tall,& can only just sit in it without hitting my head on the roof. The legroom is great though.
It's a bit gutless on hills as to be expected with the 2.4 in a heavy car.
I find the handling to be good,it's very stable & a placid car,so an ideal learning vehicle.
If you need more power, get an Aurion.
Overall,im quite happy with the car,you get a lot of goodies in the Grande spec at a good price.

Purchased in July 2021.

Great point A to B car and superb mileage

published

I bought 2010 hybrid camry as a used car. I must say i have been impressed by this car. It is a great family car very spacious, reliable and extremely low maintenance cost. Fuel economy is also good i still get around 6.5 litres/100kms mileage. The only negative point is that it's not a drivers car. Steering is vague and wobbly but i guess it's a well known camry trait as it's not famous for being sporty. Other than that great family car with cheap running cost.

Toyata Camry Best economical family car in the world

published

I Bought Brand new Toyota Camry touring in 2011. I have done 120000k now. I found this is the best economical family car in the world. Original Michelin Tyres ran 105k KM without any trouble. The Original Battery lasted 6+ years. Changed only last year. Still original breaks pads running good and per 120k service records they are still road worthy for next 15k service. So far I replaced 4 set of new Tyres after 105k ODI, Battery after 6 years, wiper blades rubber inserts after 5 years. All other standard Toyota service. What else you can expect from such a good family car. Go for Toyota Camry. I love this car

Good reliable car

published

It's a very good and nice car.
Looks very fancy and luxurious. Especially in the black colour with the silver handles.
The inside is very wide and comfortable. Steering is steady. Acceleration is really good. The breaks are also very good. Even though it's wide and big, but it's easy to drive around in.

Robust and reliable car!

published

I enjoy driving my Toyota Camry Altise for a while! It is performing reliably and can be handled easily. I really like the exterior design, however the interior design is boring nothing special. I service the car twice a year (nearly every 10K), the main repair is on consumable (mainly tires). It consumes around 10-11 per 100 K in the city and 8-9 on the road (Highway). It has really spacy boot, which becomes handy in Roadtrip.

Just OK

published

Had my Camry Altise 2010 for about 12-18 months now and it seems to drive ok however I find the gear change to lag and the brake assist to kick in way too hard down hills. The petrol is good as I fill up once a week sometimes even less depending on how far I drive. It's a good daily car except the seats are so friggin hard!!! They are so uncomfortable I have had to go out and buy back support lumbars for it. I don't like the way you have to open the boot to put the back seats down and I dislike that I cannot lock my car while I'm inside of it. What happens if I get attacked at a stop light? I wouldn't buy another Camry again however Toyota are good cars in terms of reliability and mechanically built very sturdy.

Excellent car! Very reliable!

published

The performance of the car is great! Have never had any issues with it mechanically. The steering is very easy as it has power steering. The inside of the car is very comfortable. The speakers are of decent quality. However, the radio doesn't have an AUX port which is unfortunate. The dashboard can also get sticky in hot weather. It runs low on fuel, making it a very economic car.

Doesn't cost much and save petrol as well.
Bought the black colour Camry and the team loves it.
Lots of friends bought this model for home use as well. In general, Toyota is a good and reliable brand for vehicle.

Excellent Car

published

I have owned Camry and other versions of Toyota. They are very reliable and almost zero maintenance vehicles. The servicing of the vehicle costs around $200 at Toyota Service Center and is required only once in 9 months.

The only disappointing factor is the overall interiors. They look quite old. But overall good, safe vehicle with minimum maintenance charges

Perfect car for our family

published

Very happy with the car, looks great, drives well, the engine is very quiet and responsive. There is plenty of space both in front and back, the booth is enormous. The only drawback for us is the fuel consumption. We knew it would be 8.8 Ltrs, however, we mostly drive in town and it is around 10.5 Ltrs per 100 km. Despite this, I would recommend Camry to anyone. I really hope we won't have any issues with it as that was the main reason to buy a Camry.

Reliable car, never lets you down

published

I've been driving this car for the last 5 years, and I can only talk positively about it. The average petrol consumption is 6.5l/100km very quiet and powerful. I've been taking the car to my local mechanic for maintenance and I haven't had any problems so far.
Equipped with leather seats, reverse camera and sensors make driving comfortable and fun.

Good family and company car

published

We recently bought one as our company car.
Drives smooth with confidence. Handling well if you don't focus on performance. Steering wheel feels better than last generation but still too light for me. Noise so low and better than many other brands. Just dont like the foot Hand break

Interior OK and full of everything a normal driver needs, family duty or business. Seat looks plain . But with reverse camera, GPS and large screen it is OK. We paid 27000 and cannot complain.

I will not worry about reliability usually for a Toyota.

Havent had that problem Id contract the dealer where you got it from

MVRama
MVRama

The problem was water leaking from windshield which was replaced 4 years back. Rain leaked in and caused electrical shorts/problems. I took it to service, they suggested I replace windscreen which I had it done. Then they cleaned the joints/junction what ever, and no problem at present. Hopefully the windscreen seal is good and durable and will not cause same problem. Totally it cost $450 for windscreen + $550 for mechanic service an total of nearly $1000.

Hi Riff,

I did not drive a Toyota with so many kms, however what I've heard they can do 1 mil kms when serviced properly. Look, it is probably the most reliable car you can get. Thus, examine the major parts properly such as engine (sound, start, behaviour by low and high speed, acceleration), gear box, suspension... Otherwise I believe it should be a very good car.

Best,
Andrej

The dealer told me they have no problem with older models. But of course depends on previous owner.
