The Seats are a real big disappointment, The Dealership was not very helpful after the deal was signed
Paid $69000 for a brand new Kluger Grande 2022 model, the driver seat has all the adjustments but the passenger seat don't have any except for forward and backwards, The wife and me bought the car together but sadly she will never have the same comfort level... (Better not tell her about this) Paid extra for the Grand model thinking were getting more but not so, the car looks old fashioned inside and gets dusty on the dash very quickly for no reason, there is nothing in the car that says grande..
The steering wheel gets sweaty pretty quickly,...Read more
(Don't know why they didn't use punched leather here to absorb the sweat) the side mirrors cannot curve in when parked in a tight spot. The rear loading section is not flat, is angled at about 15 degrees and is stupid because now we cannot sleep in the rear.. The engine is sometimes non responsive when needed and extremely heavy on fuel.... (What happened to Global Warming and Sustainable / Renewable manufacturing practices?? do we real'y need such a big engine?? The USB port is sooo hard to locate, took 3 months to find, (Just one port.. 4 Phones between the kids the wife and me, the rear seats are horrible uncomfortable, they can'not even fold right back.. No Bump protectors on the large doors, the sun visors don't even cover the full length of the door if used sideways.. No ventilation in the large armrest (vanity box, between the 2 seats), also no light in there, i can put my grandma in there and never find her again.. The rear roof mounted DVD is way to close, hurts your eyes.. No mute button on the steering or radio, the electronics in general, RADIO, GPS and ALL software on the LED screen is hard to use and feels outdated...Purchased in November 2021 for $69,000.00.

Nearly excellent
A great all round car. I would have given it a 5 stars if only it tech was updated to meet it competitors. They need to introduce apple car play to get the rating. But I am lead to believe they will offer an upgrade soon.
Purchased in January 2021.

Classy, beautiful and reliable
Very reliable classy car for all your daily commutes. It has every function you need. Smooth running. Attractive and everyone comments on that with you. Strong safe but cosy. Service program is well organised.
Purchased in February 2021 at Western Toyota.

Fantastic car!!
I’m absolutely in love with the 2018 kluger!!! I had it on hire for a month or two a few months ago and I must say it’s by far the most fancy four wheel drive I’ve ever driven. I’d highly recommend it to anybody with a large family as they have fold away back extra seats as well!!

A lemon car and bad luck
I purchased a brand new Toyota Grade Auto in mid of 2017, now has been one year and 10000km. For the first couple of months, we really enjoy the driving experience, as Grande got a lot of add ons. But after few months, the back window kept popping up when driving or when starting the engine. We had pulled over some times to close the back window manually. I demonstrated the problem when doing service at Nunawading Toyota, but mechanic said they checked and found no problem and asked us to go back and monitor until it would get worse. After one ...Read more
month, the back window was not open forever. We booked another appointment at Nunawading Toyota Service. Later that day, they called us to pick up, but the back window couldn’t be fixed until the parts coming from overseas, probably couple of weeks. After approximately 10 days, we made another appointment to fix the back window. And later on, I found the right passenger door locked itself sometimes for no reason. I brought up this issue when doing service at Nunawading Toyota Service. Again, the reception said they didn’t find anything and asked me go back monitoring until it getting worse. This didn’t worry me too much, as I could central-lock twice to get it open. May 2018, I found out humming noise came from nowhere when accelerating and only happened when accelerating. I booked a service to check at Nunawding Toyota Service, as usual, they didn’t find anything and told me to monitor. But the humming noise was gone after service. But few days after service, the car started to jump when changing gears. It’s like riding a horse when gear shifting. My wife made another appointment with Nunawading Toyota Service. We didn’t expect it was major problem as we had a faith of “unbreakable “Toyota Brand. Thursday morning 28th of June, my wife called me from Toyota Service and told me they wouldn’t accept the car unless she could demonstrate the issue. It was so frustrating experience! And then my wife passed the phone to me. After explanation, they finally got a mechanic to accompany my wife for testing drive. My wife told me later that she was so nervous as she was so worried what would happen if the issue didn’t show up at that particular moment—they would turn her around and “KEEP MONITORING”?!It was lucky, the car jumped again—OOHOO! Mechanic said it could be a major issue and probably need to change transmission. Friday afternoon, mechanic called me saying they wasn’t sure whether they could fix, and probably need to rebuild the transmission. They needed to do more testing and would keep me updated Saturday. NO Call and No updates on Saturday. We are not trouble maker and I think we are very patient customers. I purchased Toyota Vans and UTEs for my work, so far no problems. But I don’t know what happened to this family SUV? It’s Grande-not cheap model! We paid to drive, not sitting at workshop for testing or making one appointment after another! What Lemon Car! What an Unbreakable Toyota!1 comment

LOVE it
Great car - we bought the Grande. Love all the creature comforts, sun roof, Blueray DVD player, Seat warmers, so much more...Take off speed is great.
There is so much leg room in the back for the kids and I have 2 very tall children...15 year old son is 6'2"
Boot space is great too - we don't use the additional 2 back seats often but they seem to be fairly roomy too. Only criticism I would have is it is very thirsty in fuel when we tow something.
Really happy with it overall.

Great SUV
Purchased a Grande in Dec 2015. Love the car to bits. The drive is luxurious with a lot of grunt. The fuel economy is great being a 3.5l engine.
cons: being the top of line I expect it to have folding mirrors, rain sensing wipers and gas strutted bonnets which other competitors normally have.

Great car
Toyota Kluger Grande 2016
Driving experience is good, no issues, handles well and pretty quiet.. Would have liked little bit more power (Kw).
Interior is great but defiantly dislike the dvd on roof and head unit would be much better if it had Apple play.. very hard for kids to each dvd from middle row, strains their necks.. Position of dvd on roof could have been closer to the front.
Reliability and running cost is good, petrol to fill up full about $90 for 400km.

Great car - Very Overpriced! Lost 45k in value in 3 years!
Purchased a 2014 Kluger Grande in late August 2014.
I cant complain about the car too much. I didnt have any major issues (break downs etc) everything worked with the exception of quite a few minor issues that were all fixed under warranty. It's just annoying when you have to keep taking the car back to the dealer to fix things.
Especially when you are paying 78k for "the most reliable car brand"
Issues i had:
Automatic boot struts replaced 3 times - under warranty - Needed replacing again when traded in.
Front radar - replaced once
Blind spot monitoring - Replaced once (tried to charge me $1k to replace - dodgy service dept)
Handles to control the rear seats broke off 3 times

Super car
This car is one of the best cars you can buy super reliable and also has a lot of features one of the main things has heaps of room for all your friends and family levels are low.
Kluger is a well-resolved large SUV. It has very good on-road manners with real off-road capability. If you don’t mind the styling, a Kluger AWD (to the appropriate specification for your budget) should be on your shortlist.

a rather appealing vehicle
my 44th vehicle, Grande front wheel drive, like a ponderous mini, steer on the throttle rounding corners.
More devices and gadgets than I so far discovered yet. Latest is how to lock he vehicle without leaving the rear door unlocked, people could pinch shopping! A pleasant cruising barge to waft along in until a bit of o
vertaking needed whence it drops a gear or two and growls charmingly and accelerates like it sounds.
Most comfortable and pleasant interior, spacious and well presented. There is a small second display screen above the mai...Read more

2016 Toyota Kluger Grande AWD model.
Car handles quite well, top of the line. Pros and cons.
Great family car, drives very well. Comfortable and roomy. Great inclusions like built in sun shields, tinted rear windows, and all the bells and whistles you could imagine (and some not necessarily needed). It is perfect for what I need a car for and is extremely roomy in the rear cargo (with seats folded down). With seats up there is a bit of room to put a few things at the rear of the seats. Plenty of leg room for kids and adults in front, and middle. We haven't utilised the rear ro...Read more
w yet so unable to comment on space for that one. Able to fit 3 child restraints easily across with out much drama. I have two babies in car seats and planning a 3rd. There will be enough room in the second row seats (middle), however as stated in previous reviews there are no anchor points in the third (rear) row. If there are three seats installed in the middle row, then there will be no access to the rear row, and certainly not for children who still require the use of a car seat (which most are in restraints these days until 8+). DVD player a hit, however I have had to go and buy actual DVD's due to the fact that this system does not use any form of USB or other media except for DVDs which is completely pointless. There is absolutely no rear view vision once the screen has been placed down for the children to watch. Plenty of safety features. There is a radar when cruise control is set. Upon approach of a car in front it senses this and slows down if it needs to (if car is going slower than set cruise speed), however sometimes the braking is applied sharply, and depending on the car behind you, if they have not left enough space (as many do not give proper spacing these days) it can brake hard and I worry a lot about the car behind either getting too close or not paying enough attention and causing an accident.Similar opinion? good, reliable, family car
My husband and I agreed that we needed a larger car - with 4 kids plus us there was only a few options in the 4wd catagory that really caught our eye.
after reading a lot of reviews and taking the car for a couple of test drives (as you know its a financial commitment!) we decided to buy. Since then, it has been a great additional member of our family, plent of space, we love out camping and it has taken us all across SA, the eyre peninsula and up north into the Outback.
Only one problem and I am not sure if anyone else has experienced t...Read more
his - the airconditioning has been very tempermental? It works well but then other times it just stops working. We have taken it back to the dealer to get it looked at and we have been asured there is nothing wrong but it keeps happening. Frustrating !! 2015 Grande 4WD
So happy with this car, yet so frustrated with a couple of things. If you have a young family with a requirement to use the 6th and 7th seats in third row for child restraints, then you won't be happy.
1) no anchor points in 3rd row.
I didn't think it would be a big deal to get some installed. Ive got 3 kids in booster and below, and want / need to sometimes place them or their friends in the third row. Apparently you have to get a crab bar installed across the back of the car because Toyota didn't think it is worth it to engineer the thir...Read more

LOVE IT!!!!! SO SO MUCH
Beautiful to Drive, comfortable, looks nice (get so many compliments) I got this car in Pearl White and have the Darkest tinted windows, it looks awesome. Has to be the perfect family car. Plenty of room in the back for the kids, bags and a big pram. Also nice and roomy in the back for adults to. My kids LOVE the DVD player that pops down from the ceiling with the cordless headphones. I love it to, they can watch there tv shows or movies while I get to drive in piece and quite listening to my own music.

tellite navigation is super easy to use and has a nice big 8 inch screen. Reverse parking camera is awesome!! Love how the car warns you if your coming to close to other cars or object. The front centre console is HUGE, I've never seen one so big! You could easily fit a whole laptop in it, plus plenty more.. Always a bonus having plenty of storage space with kids. Automatic Tailgate is also something I will never ever go without again on a car for as long as I live, It makes life with kids so much easier I love everything about this car!!Similar opinion? Perfect family car
Just bought my 2014 Kluger Grande 2014. It is fabulous. So much room even in the third row. My 6ft husband can even travel in the 3rd row without an issue. Power boot is so handy when your hands are full. Kids love the cordless headphones that come with the blue ray player. We looked at the X5, Q7, GL mercedes and the Kluger grande won hands down for value for money. A luxury car without the hefty price tag. Capped servicing at $170 for 3 years is a real bonus.
