Beautiful car
I bought this card in March 2018 and it drives like a treat, it doesn't sit ridiculously high like some SUVs so my wife can easily move our baby in and out of the back seat. It has grunt when needed but if you're happy to drive gently the economy is very good (around 10L/100km on avg).

I love this car, highly recommend
I love driving my car now, I brought a new car for a family car, it is perfect for car seat installation with isofix, beautiful car to drive and it’s a big car but doesn’t feel big to drive, my parter is 6ft 4 and there is plenty of leg room even with a car seat behind the passenger seat, love the leather interior

Best car I’ve ever owned!
Outstanding driving performance. Smooth, quiet but power when you need it. A very sleek and well appointed dash with all the extras drivers and families need. Comfort features are second to none, with more than enough space to comfortably seat 5 adults and 2 children. The extra 2 seats in the back fold away flush to reveal a huge boot space. You have the versatility of using only one of the rear seats if needed and those seats are as comfortable as the main seats. Kluge is the perfect family car, I couldn’t imagine anything else better suiting our needs.

A lemon car and bad luck
I purchased a brand new Toyota Grade Auto in mid of 2017, now has been one year and 10000km. For the first couple of months, we really enjoy the driving experience, as Grande got a lot of add ons. But after few months, the back window kept popping up when driving or when starting the engine. We had pulled over some times to close the back window manually. I demonstrated the problem when doing service at Nunawading Toyota, but mechanic said they checked and found no problem and asked us to go back and monitor until it would get worse. After one ...Read more
month, the back window was not open forever. We booked another appointment at Nunawading Toyota Service. Later that day, they called us to pick up, but the back window couldn’t be fixed until the parts coming from overseas, probably couple of weeks. After approximately 10 days, we made another appointment to fix the back window. And later on, I found the right passenger door locked itself sometimes for no reason. I brought up this issue when doing service at Nunawading Toyota Service. Again, the reception said they didn’t find anything and asked me go back monitoring until it getting worse. This didn’t worry me too much, as I could central-lock twice to get it open. May 2018, I found out humming noise came from nowhere when accelerating and only happened when accelerating. I booked a service to check at Nunawding Toyota Service, as usual, they didn’t find anything and told me to monitor. But the humming noise was gone after service. But few days after service, the car started to jump when changing gears. It’s like riding a horse when gear shifting. My wife made another appointment with Nunawading Toyota Service. We didn’t expect it was major problem as we had a faith of “unbreakable “Toyota Brand. Thursday morning 28th of June, my wife called me from Toyota Service and told me they wouldn’t accept the car unless she could demonstrate the issue. It was so frustrating experience! And then my wife passed the phone to me. After explanation, they finally got a mechanic to accompany my wife for testing drive. My wife told me later that she was so nervous as she was so worried what would happen if the issue didn’t show up at that particular moment—they would turn her around and “KEEP MONITORING”?!It was lucky, the car jumped again—OOHOO! Mechanic said it could be a major issue and probably need to change transmission. Friday afternoon, mechanic called me saying they wasn’t sure whether they could fix, and probably need to rebuild the transmission. They needed to do more testing and would keep me updated Saturday. NO Call and No updates on Saturday. We are not trouble maker and I think we are very patient customers. I purchased Toyota Vans and UTEs for my work, so far no problems. But I don’t know what happened to this family SUV? It’s Grande-not cheap model! We paid to drive, not sitting at workshop for testing or making one appointment after another! What Lemon Car! What an Unbreakable Toyota!

Great Family car!
Great all round SUV with plenty of room for passengers and/or storage.
Powerful enough for towing light caravan or full trailers.
Responsive especially at the higher range and been totally reliable.
The only downside has been its lack of functional GPS in my mid range model and no diesel option

OK, Could be better
Front wheel drive with power, not good, hang on tight accelerating on rough road. Speed o out by 7km. Radio loses stations when battery disconnected. I would prefer the ride a bit softer, gets annoying on bad roads and we have plenty. Head rests are terrible, bent forward, hitting the back of your head on bad roads. A boy racer must have designed it. The rest good.

Love it
If you have a family of over 6 footers like me its perfect! Bought 2018 model 6 months ago and seriously could not be happier. Well appointed interior and great to drive. Heaps of room in the back with adjustable 2nd row as well as the boot even with 3rd row up. Love it!!!

Great car
Bought my burgundy GX new 18 months ago. One of the most versatile, quiet cars I have ever owned. Lots of power for safe overtaking. Likes a drink though - 14L/100 km in town, but good on open road - best ever was 7.4L/100 on highway. Much nicer to drive than the Camry it's based on.

Awesome car love it
I bought 4x2 GX and loved it. Got plenty of torque and runs smooth. Plenty of space in the back row. Last row seat only good for short distance if occupied by adults. Huge boot and once you lay the seat down there is ton of space. Bit thirsty on fuel in city 14l/100kms but quiet good n long drives8-9l/100kms

Top chariot apart from the FWD
We have 3 very active kids, who jump all over the car, and the mighty Kluger soaks up the rough and tumble with ease. Wife likes driving it, engine has plenty of grunt, A/C works great on hot days, only problem we have found is the FWD option gives lots of torque steer with a 200kw engine, so hang onto the wheel when tromping it.

LOVE it
Great car - we bought the Grande. Love all the creature comforts, sun roof, Blueray DVD player, Seat warmers, so much more...Take off speed is great.
There is so much leg room in the back for the kids and I have 2 very tall children...15 year old son is 6'2"
Boot space is great too - we don't use the additional 2 back seats often but they seem to be fairly roomy too. Only criticism I would have is it is very thirsty in fuel when we tow something.
Really happy with it overall.

Toyota Kluger Amazing
Purchased new Toyota Kluger from James at Castle hill Toyota in 2017, car is great in relation to the room of the 7 seven seating and the leather interior with heated front seats works great, finish in the cabin/ exterior is good for the price with satellite navigation, alloys and leather standard on the GXL model.
Fuel economy is reasonable in city cycle, but on long trips fuel economy is amazing, just had first service at Castle Hill Toyota, fixed price service was great along with the service given to me.
Car has has exceed my expectations in relation to quality and performance for the price and has made the family trips enjoyable.

Great SUV
Purchased a Grande in Dec 2015. Love the car to bits. The drive is luxurious with a lot of grunt. The fuel economy is great being a 3.5l engine.
cons: being the top of line I expect it to have folding mirrors, rain sensing wipers and gas strutted bonnets which other competitors normally have.

Family Friendly
We purchased the KX-R new April last year. It's very spacious, smooth to drive, powerful motor, looks good! It's a little thirsty at the bowser though but I am not a heavy driver so it's not a problem. we love all the extra room for the Kids and shopping.

Very comfortable family car
Great to drive. Lots of space. Lots of power when needed especially on the highway. We have gone on long trips as well as around town. Able to take 7 people with reasonable leg room in the rear extra seats. Very small fuel tank for the amount of fuel it chews through. I had a problem at the first service but Toyota have been excellent with their warranty. Normal Toyota infotainment system - TERRIBLE but aware going in!! Bluetooth works well. Overall very happy.

Perfect car its a dream to drive
Love our latest buy, its so quite and so comfortable and big for our growing family (7 seater). Its so reliable uses a bit more gas because Its a V6. The inside is so good only problem is it didn't come with mats and the carpet is a bit harder to clean but all in all its a gorgeous family car.

Toyota Kluger Grande 2016
Driving experience is good, no issues, handles well and pretty quiet.. Would have liked little bit more power (Kw).
Interior is great but defiantly dislike the dvd on roof and head unit would be much better if it had Apple play.. very hard for kids to each dvd from middle row, strains their necks.. Position of dvd on roof could have been closer to the front.
Reliability and running cost is good, petrol to fill up full about $90 for 400km.

Excellent 2yrs review so a liittle bit long
purchased gx 2wd in 2015 for my wife.the looks was clincher to buy and huge centre armrest storage to put things in.did look at c9 but resale not as good as toyota. and we change our cars every few years.great price range 7 seater. highly reccomend if you dont want odyssey or people mover. one main reason we bought it cos its easier to park on curbs on school run due to ground clearance, and we do the odd long distance driving. suberb highway cruiser. un real overtaking road trains. ive had a clubsport r8 previously so i know wot im talking abo...Read more
ut. the rolling 80km- 120km to overtake safely is unreal with this car.super quite .lots of room. even third row is excellent for kids and small adults. And can fold in two so flexibiltiy is great if u hav 6 in the car and need space for pram and shopping. even has cup holder and aircon vents there. really do like the open storage space under the dash. very handy with 3 kids in car.done 30,0000KM. averaging 10-11l per 100km on regular unleaded.(real world driving) including giving it a bit of stick every now and then.managed to get to kattanning from baldivis on one full tank regular unleaded.(550KM). also very easy to park with camera and sensors standard. capped price servicing is cheap $180 every 6 months for 3yrs. i also have a pajero diesel 2012. cannot compare the two with driveabilty and comfort space aswell.. only better because the pajero can go off road. ive looked at two year old 2015 kluger online. still holding its value. the only negative is i prefer cupholders on the dash area similar to t31 xtrail and stereo. my pajero has a rockford fosgate speaker system with subwoofer stock.but thats being really picky, but the bluetooth audio and 6 speaker system is fine. reliabilty wise no problems so far. nothing broken yet. quality seems excellent. and remember i have 3 kids who play with all the buttons in the car. but have been told to service on time regardless of kms by toyota, the motors can sludge. i do like to change my cars often due to boredom but looks like this will be in the garage for a couple more years at least. these positive comments ive given is related to the price of the vehicle and value for money that suits my needs. family of 5 with 3 kids under 10.if u need a 7 seater and dont want a odyssey or tarago.get the kluger. yes fuel consumption i a liitle bit higher. but if u d a bit of long distance driving like us. u wont regret it it!!! yes there are better euro cars but are twice the price. if money isnt a problem buy new a range rover.Similar opinion? Big size family car
Very good car, from the day we got this we haven't had any issues and never felt like of chose the wrong one. Adjustable seats is very comfortable specially when you travel for long distance. Rear seats are not so bad compare with others in the market around same pricing. Only bit of trouble we always have is parking when we go to shopping centre with narrow parking spaces.
