A month ago we drove through a river crossing that resulted in some wet carpets. The top of the carpets is all dry, no worries. But I just discovered by sliding my hand under the carpet under the drivers seat that the underlay is soaking wet. The carpet itself has a vinyl/plastic backing so the top carpet is dry and the underlay (which is like a synthetic padding) can't be dried as it can't be accessed. Is this going to cause a problem and if so what can be done about it?

I got my new Prado VX yesterday but last night I couldn't read the airconditioning buttons. Where is the light? If my car windscreen suddenly fogged up I wouldn't be able to find the defogger button because it is in the dark.

Hi guys, i've got toyota prado 2005 petrol gxl auto.
1 week ago the engine light comes up, when i scan it it shows crankshaft sensore position A.
we change the one i found behind the aircon compresor .but still shows the same code .which is p0335.
so i wanderimg if you have any experiece of this

Yes. I had it 2 weeks ago in a late 2004 petrol GXL auto - same configuration. I would get the Toyota repair manual worksheet and work through the problem rather than just replacing the sensor. In my case, I believe it the wiring harness was dirty, so I removed/replaced/cleaned the sensor/harness with a bit of carbi clean. Works flawlessly now. Plus you might have to reset the code, if you haven't already done so.

We had the same issue. Mechanic blamed the battery. I wasn't convinced. Turned out that the alternator was stuffed. As it was not charging the battery properly, the battery voltage would drop. Some electronic components are more voltage sensitive than others, which meant that some components would work while others stopped. As the voltage dropped further, more things stopped working.
