Poor quality
This BBQ has been a big disappointment. To be honest, it doesn't cook as well as our old basic Beefeater BBQ. The RQT burners are impossible to clean, as meat juices and fat burn on. The actual burners are too far from the cooking surface to get cook charred steak. And to top if off, the lid's surface is pealing off. Turns out it is not solid metal but cheap galvanised steel with a fancy chrome sticker layer over the top. Avoid.

Turbo power means super fast BBQs
Best BBQ Ive ever purchased. The burners heat up to handle a full load of vegetables in the hot plate. Last Christmas we cooked a 1/2 leg of ham and a full Turkey. The meat remained moist and was evenly cooked. We use the side burner to fry oil to make donuts as the temperature and heat is too much for the kitchen. Highly recommend S&B BBQs.
Purchased in December 2021 at Barbeques Galore for A$4,000.00.

My first BBQ and I love it!
This BBQ is fabulous! I bought it from Barbecues' Galore almost a year ago and it is so reliable. Everything cooks quickly and evenly, and it is easy to clean. I didn't install the left side bench because I wanted to save the space on my patio. I wish I'd discovered it sooner.

High Quality Unit With Excellent Heat Output
We had this machine installed on our roof deck... a major achievement given that its parts are very heavy!
We purchased at BBQ Galore in Nunawading (Vic) and the guys were really helpful and came out to install
It was well worth it. The new technology burners (covered by domed pyrex-like glass throw off an excellent range of heat and are very responsive to the heat regulating dials. If I had to complain it would be that its actually a bit too powerful!
I have been using those new barbecue mats on top of the grill surface and they work a tre...Read more

Hot Stuff
If you like your outdoor kitchen or 'fancy' stainless BBQ, the top of the line offering from Ziegler & Brown (sold through BBQ's Galore) is probably something you would have eyed off at some stage. The most impressive feature is undoubtedly its eye-watering 5 grand price tag. It's a truck load of money.. so the question will be "is it worth it?". My answer would be "No" .. hang on, "Yes", "Maybe", "OK.. I give in, Yes".
You can't justify spending this much money on a BBQ. You have to realise that it's a case of diminishing returns as you go...Read more
up the price scale. Does it cook any better than a $500 BBQ from Bunnings? No. So why spend the big bucks I hear you ask? Well, you do get high grade 304 stainless throughout which potentially makes this cooking implement a long life product if you look after it. It's probably not going to last ten times longer than your el'chepo barbecue however. Unfortunately if you want something 'nice' and a 'cut above' you need to drop some extra dollars for that privilege. This BBQ is definitely nice and different to the cheaper alternatives. For a start, everything is well designed. High grade metals, ball bearing runners on drawers, good LED lighting, brass side burner, rotisserie, stainless & enameled cooking grates, etc. All the bits are there to make this a fully fledged outdoor kitchen to cook up a storm. The RQT burners are also something quite different to get used to. They generate a lot of heat but because of their design it's not like grilling over an open flame which may upset some people. You need to think of this more along the lines of a convection hot plate rather than a grill - well kind of. You won't get flare up (or only very briefly) since the oils/fats just combust instantly or run off over the top of the quarts domes. It's not going to be something everyone falls in love with. You need to adapt to make the most out of the burners but they can cook things cleanly and quickly. One major criticism is that the bottom of those fancy RQT burners is not stainless (rather an enamel or powder coated steel think). They will undoubtedly rust with age - not great on an all stainless steel BBQ!. The other major criticism of the burners is that they send vast amounts of hot air gushing out of the front and back of the quarts glass tube which sits over the top. The result is a searing heat exactly where you have your hands trying to turn that steak. I actually put another strip of metal over the front section just to avoid getting burned. It's definitely a design flaw. Apart from some minor quibbles, the unit is otherwise fantastic. The side burner is a nice large unit and you can heat whatever sits on top to glowing red temperatures (great for Wok frying/cooking, etc.). Once you're done, the BBQ is a DREAM to clean. Slip the burners out and you have a well designed fire box (i.e no sharp edges or things to snag you fingers on) in full stainless, complete with a drip guard and the inside cleans up quickly without fuss. The grates and plates are divided into four sections and are therefore small enough to fit into a standard sink or dishwasher for cleanup rather than having to manhandle giant pieces. The drip tray is also accessible from the front which means you never have to shift the unit out to clean it. I love it - very easy to look after. Yes it's expensive, but it's a top quality appliance. The Grand Turbo is definitely a nice unit for those that enjoy cooking. A final word - this is not a "Ziegler & Brown" unique design. We spotted the exact same unit labelled as a "Gasmate Platinum" at Bunnings, however - they do not have the RQT burners (they are stainless tube/flame type) and the overall price isn't any cheaper either.Similar opinion? It works as a pizza oven too!
I've owned this BBQ TEQ4CDSJ for 3 years now, its absolutely fantastic. Reading the bad reviews on here really confuses me on how inaccurate some people are. This BBQ rocks. I came across this review looking for info on how to rotisserie roast. Last night I cooked pizza in it perfectly on an aftermarket stone I placed over the grill on one side. The 2 burners under the stone 3/4 high and the 2 burners on the other side on full temperature. 6 minutes to perfection!
This BBQ has so many uses, don't bother reading the bad reviews because they hav...Read more

Hi there steve. Onthe 6 burner model with side burner, I have drawers under the left and the door into the gas bottle door on right then another drawer under the non burner "wing" on the side. The burner on the left hangs down to mirror the right but due to the pipes has no drawer. Not sure about the 4 burner. You could do an image comparison on the web. Hope that helps
