Best BBQ we have ever had
We cook everything from stuffed mushrooms, steaks, whole fish, roasts, the crackling on the roast porks is fantastic. We entertain a lot and have never had anyone complain about their meals. We have had this BBQ for over two years and never had a problem, we even have had friends that have gone and bought this product as they were so impressed by it.
I don’t have a problem cleaning this BBQ, it comes apart easily. It does take a while but then so do ovens.
Our BBQ is protected as we didn’t want an expensive piece left out in the weather like our previous BBQ’s.
Purchased in January 2021 at Barbeques Galore.

Excellent BBQ
So we were having our kitchen redone and would be without a kitchen for around 3weeks. Option was to buy a BBQ which is what we did from BBQs Galore. I didn’t think I could cook much on it with out burning but I was so surprised. I manes to cook pizzas, fish, pies, lasagne, spaghetti bog, you name it and the BBQ did it all perfectly. Great but for sure
Purchased in November 2021 at Barbeques Galore for $749.00.

I have been truly ripped off
This has been a disaster, being a believer you get what you pay for has bitten me big time.
I now stew steaks and the after sales service from BBS galore has been ZERO.
I do admin it dies sausages quite well, thus my thoughts on the good reviews only cook bangers.
in short do not go near this product.

worst bbq ever
This bbq is the worst unit we have ever had. We were led to believe that bbq would be the best thing we have ever cooked on and the easiest it to clean. Couldn't be more opposite if you tried. We had rep out on a couple of occasions to try and fix up heat issues but that didn't work either. We ended up taking it to the tip.

Great Ziegler BBQ
Bought a Ziggy recently from bbq galore.I was tossing up between the webber q and a ziggy. The thing i really like about the ziggy is that the burners are adjustable, so its like having a conventional bbq not just an oven like the webber.Have cooked many dishes on the zigy and cant be happier.

Worst bbq I've ever bought
I bought this bbq thinking it was going to be amazing due to the sales person's comments. I also figured due to the $1,700 price tag it would be a good bbq. I couldn't have been more wrong. Whilst the burners get hot, it doesn't sear the meat properly and often just stews it. To get the bbq hot during pre heating you need both burners on full blast even when you just use one to cook. I recommend people stick to normal gas burner or charcoal bbq's.

Worst Mistake I have made. Ziegler and Brown Turbo Elite 2 Burner
Cook BBQ 3-4 Times a week, had the 4 burner version for many years and it was excellent.
The two burner version struggles to get High temperatures. Had them out and they increased the jet size, now gets to hot on the ends. Changed to conventional burners and still slow to cook. I believe the BBG area, plate to require a minimum of three burners. I feel like taking a $1800 BBQ to trash and treasure.

Worst barbeque - do not buy one! This model is absolutely terrible!
I love barbeque and cook on a Barbie every day! It’s pretty much my daily diet! I thought if I use it so much i should invest in the best of the best, so I bought a Ziegler Brown turbo elite from barbeques galore for $1799 with the side gas stove burner and walked out a great huge smile! I been fighting desperately in order to not admit defeat ever since! I’ve been trying for 4 months literally everyday cooking on this barbeque! I didn’t want to admit defeat, especially because I spend so much money! I tried everything! If you think this is a g...Read more
ood barbeque, your wrong! You either never owned a good barbeque before or you have another reason to leave a positive review. Maybe your fighting like I did and don’t want to admit to yourself the defeat! It hurts to spend $1799 on a barbeque and then admit that it doesn’t cook well! I think there is definately a mental hurdle to cross. Unfortunately or fortunately I realise now that I Paid $1799 aud for a very bad barbeque! I did expected it to be cooking well! It just does not cook well - especially steaks! The heat is not consistent throughout and it doesn’t seal the steaks! For chicken where it has to be slow cooked and well done throughout its ok if you are very patient, because it takes about double the time to cook than it should! The reason is, it is very slow to heat up, and the heat, when it has finally becomes hot after waiting, will escape after you lift the lid to turn the food around and then your back to a waiting game for it to heat up. In the mean time your slow cooking your food from the second side you flipped it to! This is not the way a good steak or lamb meat should be cooked. If you cannot seal both sides, the meat even chicken won’t taste great! Also I didn’t pay $1799 to eat well done slow cooked meat! The steaks just don’t seare and do not taste like they should even if I preheat it to over 240 degrees, and it takes a while to get hot, past 175 degrees it really slows down! There must be a design problem in my view. My barbeque is 4 months old and it works like it should, there is no fault within the barbeque. Everything works perfectly. It just doesn’t cook well like you expect! I went back to the store and tested the floor Stock. It is the same as my barbeque. So I have ruled out that my barbeque is faulty. When I went back to the store where I bought it from and I got told how to turn up the heat by turning a small screw under the knobs you turn to set the heat level. I must say this improved the barbeque tremendously. However once you turn it up by turning this screw with a small flat head screw driver, you loose the ability to turn it down, of course you can go back to the old useless setting where you can turn it down, if you reset it using the screw driver. Now, I found myself cooking with an additional tool in my hand - a flat head screw driver! It lives permanently in the barbeque draw. Sometimes you need to turn the heat down low, but mostly you want it hot, so the screw driver and pulling knobs off and turning the screw is a frequent task and essential if you want the best outcome. You get used to it, till one day when I realized that this is insanity, that’s when I realized my defeat with this barbeque! It shouldn’t be like this! And it’s supposed to be a premium Bbq at a premium price! Do not buy it! There are much better barbeques out there! Better cook on a frying pan than this barbeque. To make it worse, the wheels keep leaving black marks on my beautiful tiles on my balcony! The marks are just about impossible to clean off! I wish I had just not bought this barbeque! It is definitely not worth the money. Yesterday I went to another store and bought a $450 aud gas equivalent Webber, due to the huge dissapointment with this barbeque... Wow unbelieveable and the taste, omg, too Good to be true! The cooking time halved! The heat, Wow instantly hot in comparison, the steaks perfectly sealed! I can turn it up and down without a need for a screw driver! I can’t believe I spend $1799 aud on this terrible Ziegler and Brown turbo elite two burner! Damm u people who left good reviews! I’ll never use it again after cooking on the Webber! I’d take the Webber every day of the week over this large piece of inferior junk. I will leave a proper Webber review after I cook on it some more. But now what will I do with my 4 month old Ziegler and brown turbo elite? Give it to Mum and Dad as a present? I feel sorry for them. My dad is old and my mum wouldn’t be any good with the screw driver situation! Sell it I suppose, but will anyone buy it, especially after reading this review? This barbeque is not worth more than $200 aud...and even at that I’d spend another $200 and buy the Webber! I had many barbeques at lower and similar price points in my life and this one is inferior to them all. This is an honest review and from someone who actually has owned many barbeques and is a barbeque fan and appreciates a good steak, fish or chicken everyday on the barbeque.Similar opinion? I want my old Weber back!
I went to BBQ's Galore to buy a Weber Family Q to replace our old, but still working Q. I was told "Nobody buys Webers anymore" and was convinced to go for the Ziegler and Brown. My wife didn't like the look of the round, red Ziggy so we went for the much more expensive stainless steel model. Big mistake! I read reviews before purchasing and did question the number of poor reviews and was assured the reason is because people do not set them up properly for mains gas. I therefore got ours set up by a professional. I hate it. It either lights str...Read more
aight away or takes about 3 minutes for the gas to flow, you never know. The biggest however problem is inconsistent heat. The heat pours out the ends of the glass tube creating super hot parts at the top and bottom while in the middle nothing happens! Seriously thinking about putting it out on the street and buying a Weber.2 comments
Further update. Nobody has followed up and I still hate by BBQ.

Very, very impressed
I purchased the the turbo elite 2 burner. I watched the videos online which helped as the recommended cooking procedure didn't sit well with me. On my first attempt I tried 3 different cuts of meat and all were better than I have cooked before. I recommend warming the bbq up to 200 with the hood down then cook both sides with the hood down, only turning when the first sight of blood come to the surface then rest as usual. It cut cooking time down imensely. As with everything new trial and error is key.

Great!!!!
I have used many BBQ's in my time and have got to say that this bit of kit is great!! I went for 4 burners instead of the hot plate. I was really impressed in the shop as I've never used anything like the heating style, always had gas or coal last model being Webber. I'll never go back... First tryout was fresh chicken, sausages and bacon... All done to perfection on first time. Well worth the money.. 100%

Don't Buy One - It's the Worst BBQ Ever!!!!
We were sucked in at the store and purchased this BBQ with high hopes of a fantastic bbq. It's the worst bbq we have ever had - it only cooks the meat where the meat rests on the grill bars. The meat is ghastly grey with brown stripes - awful!!
We can't wait to dispose of it (it would be very unkind to even give it away) and return to the reliable Weber.

Horrible BBQ can't cook
I've used this BBQ 2 times now and first impressions are that this is absolutely horrible. The burners are weak even when put to their maximum temperature. It takes far too long to cook and doesn't taste like BBQ'd meat. you would be better off cooking in an oven as ultimately the oven provides a far better experience. I would much rather prefer my old BBQ which performed much better.

Terrible
First turbo elite delivered had no paint along 2 seams and already showed signs of rust. Replacement damaged out of box. Store took the goods back, but then wouldn't give me a refund until head office approve it - up to 10 business days. Apparently head office is aware of powder coat issues coming out of th factory!
Good concept.
Poor follow through

One of my Turbo Elite RQT burners is misfiring with a burbling sound. I have cleaned the jet orifice and burner tube. I have swapped burners but it is still misfiring at the same jet position. Does the gas valve need to be replaced?

Did you change your jets to natural gas or do you have LPG still?
Original LPG ones. 7 years old. Other jet works well.

Update! I went back to BBQ'd Galore and was advised that my issue is unusual and it sounds like a faulty set up with the gas supply. They are going have somebody look at it. Fingers crossed!
