Looks amazing but handles and buttons have peeled and the panels have rusted!
We purchased the $5 500 Grand Turbo 6 burner from Bbq galore in Richmond! The Bbq is under cover however, the handles and buttons have all the paint peeling off and certain spits of the bbq have rusted!
We have approached Bbq galore about 4 times since October 2015. We were asked to use a specific cleaner (which we did ) but although it looked shinier it did not fix the peeling or rust problem!
We supplied photos and are still waiting for a response from a manager! We are always told that we will be contacted by the Manager and we are still w...Read more

Not a fun BBQ!
Possibly the most difficult BBQ to get used to with the quartz domes seemingly unable to grill, flare ups a real issue with extra smoke making this unit an uncomfortable experience.
I paid big bucks for the inbuilt unit and would just love to see my old 6 burner cheapie back, but this aint going to happen!!

OMG what have I done?
Bought this as a Christmas present for my son, who tried many times to cook a good steak, you can see the heat and that it is hot but for the life of us we can't cook a decent steak, just boils it. I and beside myself that I spent this much money for an oven. I will approach for a refund but do not like my chances, BBQ loers stay away from this cooker!!

Great if you like your steaks broiled!
What an absoloute dissapointment, have tried everything with my 4 burner but still can't get a good steak out of it. Not enough heat, gets very dirty below, very hard to clean and the quartz domes do not stay clean, once dirty your hard pressed to clean. Rubbish for the price you pay, I would not recommend this to anyone.

RQT BBQ 4 burner versus 2 burner
Their performance is like chalk and cheese.
We found the 2 burner totally inadequate for grilling a steak, medium rare and seared, no matter where we placed it, grill, hotplate, middle, side.It did not have enough heat with either LPG or natural gas. The burners are too far apart, they flare up with a bit of wind and with the hood down, makes a good steak taste like liver. Better to cook the steak on a hot cast iron griddle pan in the kitchen or a roast in the oven.
The 4 burner is far superior in effective heat output, particularly so wi...Read more
th the burners placed closer than the 2 burner. The bbq races up to temperature and the hotplate is excellent for searing steakes. The stainless steel grill is good, particularly over the two middle burners; the two outside burners do do not deliver as much heat to the outside grills, even though they are all the same rating. Needs a design review to capture more heat on the sides. The good news is that after writing a complaint about my 2 burner, BBQ Galore gave me great service. They sent their technicians over to check the gas pressure, the jets and the operation of the 2 burner. In the end agreed to take it back after 12 months as I was still not satisfied with the bbq. Saying that two days later they took away the 2 burner then delivered and installed free of charge, the 4 burner RQT Turbo, after paying the difference in price. At this stage I wish to express my thanks for the responsiveness and good manners of the Taren Point sales office,Thanks also for very good grilled steakss and other meats and vegetables. But more so for keeping my wife happy.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
Beware this BBQ is not what it's made out to be
what a disappointment as this BBQ Can't grill or BBQ a steak. The Turbo Clasic is overrated. I replaced my much loved Beefmaster and would gladly replace it for my old one that I gave away.. when BBQing a steak you will never be able to get a grill marking on a steak and have it underdone, it comes out as if it was boiled..not happy.

Can I find out how to roast a turkey and pork for Christmas.Do I need to place a tray of water while cooking to prevent the meat from drying out?

Please refer to the Barbeques Galore Instruction Manual for the Turbo Barbeque, Page 21 or specifically Indirect Cooking Method which is ideal for thicker cuts of meat, poultry and fish.
In short place the drip tray under the turkey or pork and place some water, wine or juices of your choice to moisten and enhance the flavour of the meat.
Keep the meat elevated on a rack so that the liquids in the tray, including fat drippings, can circulate freely around and moisten the meat . Top up if necessary.
Remember, keeping it, low, 175°C, and slow is the secret for this kind of cooking and a 10 minute blast at 225°C for browning.
Good luck

No, you will not need a bowl of water. I did a turkey and pork at the same time and they both turned out perfect. I don't even like turkey, but I was surprised how good it was! I always do roast pork on my turbo and have never used a bowl of water. The bowl of water may also stop you from getting good crackle. I'm talking about on the rotisserie mind you.

put in tiles and cast iron rack. Now cooks like before with natural gas - caramelizes outside of steaks and cooks in about 6-7 mins. obviously natural gas and RQT are not compatible. I am now happy with a BBQ that works as it should. some experts should hand in their titles! Chris C
