Human safe & hands (paws) down a winner!
I am a cleaner for the Sales & Marketing Manager at V.I.P. Petfoods. The staff & management actually eat it themselves to test out its quality... in my view, anything that is safe for human consumption must be ok :) I am a big fan of grainfree products as research has proven that grain as a filler only adds extra weight to an animal, therefore less grain means more active energy. (Notice how puppy food contains more protein than adult food - for good growth & development!) I always look for the highest protein foods & was very happy with what I...Read more
was already using, but after much protest he recently gave me a few products to try so I tested them on my two (very, very active) American Staffys by giving them half a bowl of vip & half a bowl of my regular dog food - they both went for the vip first... hands down a winner! Or should I say 'paws' down. I will now be hounding him to introduce a much, much larger bag (ie 10-15kg) to keep up with my two boys. Only problem is, I need to eat before giving them any of the 'treats' range coz it smells good enough for me to eat too :)

Not good for my dog
Initially this product ticked all the boxes as being a healthy alternative. Unfortunately my Jack Russell could not stomach the food after eating it for a few weeks, he then become constipated and would vomit after eating it in the end. I have taken him off it and back to regular food and he recovered quickly. It seems the food is too rich and didn't agree with him. The food also made him smell really bad not sure what is wrong but this should be investigated as no other dog food has caused such issues.
Inexpensive healthy alternative
Dog got sick eating it and made the dog smelly

Yay, a good dry dog food!!!
I was going to take my dogs completely off all dry and "sausage roll" dog food because of the ingredients until I stumbled upon this one - the first grain free one I've seen at a reasonable price, available at a supermarket. And now our local Woolies is stocking the 7kg packs so I'm very happy!
This is a very unexpected effect but I can categorically state that since my 14 ye old girl has been eating this she has been absolutely full of energy and life!!! She has been bouncing around like a puppy with my 2 yr old bulldog, who has also stopped ...Read more
scratching and coming up with little "bumps" on his skin - which I think was the effect of the grain component in the other dry dog food. I honestly cannot get over my old girl. I'm going to look for some treats in this range too - I'm only feeding them this with yoghurt in the morning and mine/chicken necks/livers etc with veg at night, with a big bone twice a week. I just need some treats to help train them a bit further to prepare them for our newborn arriving soon! Actually smells all right - even to a pregnant woman!

Finally found a good value dry dog food!
Feeding two active Labradors is a very expensive business... They have both been fed Advance dry food since puppyhood but I just cant keep up with the expense so started looking around for a comparable product. Finally found VIP Natures Goodness Grainfree in Woolies at Booval and bought a small bag to try them on. They seemed fine so I weaned them onto it over the next week and then went to my local Woolies at Brassall to buy another bag. Oh oh. No dog food left at home and Brassall Woolies doesn't sell this brand of dry dog food. Its ver...Read more
y inconvenient to have to travel further away (not on my way home from work) to buy dog food. Can you please have this product installed in Woolies Brassall and Riverlink Ipswich. Also I have only been able to buy the large 7kg bag once so it is also very inconvenient to have to buy 3kg bag. Two labs get through that in about 4 days. I would love to keep purchasing this product as my dogs seem to be going well on it but it has to be more readily available. Good value Not readily available at all storesSimilar opinion? Affordable with good ingredients
I have been feeding my dogs expensive premium dog food. I've noticed a couple of months ago that the dog food I was feeding wasn't showing the quality throughout the dog inside and out.
This led me to try pretty much every dog food out in the market (only the ones with quality ingredients)
I was sceptical about natures goodness, but hearing that biotic plus recommended them eased my mind to give it a go.
My dogs were very fussy and didn't like what I had gave them, even the barf diet. When I introduced this food they ate it all up!

At Last
Finally a grain free dog food that is made in Australia. I have read the ingredients and couldn't be more pleased. My dog has itchy skin and I am trying to eliminate grain from his diet which I have been told may be the cause I have been adding a small amount of Wild Game with Sweet Potato to my dogs premium dog food to make the change over easier. He has been eating up all the VIP and leaving the other, looking to me for more of the VIP.
The small size pellets are great for dogs inclined to bloat.
The only complaint is the size of the bags, goes nowhere with a 45 kilo pup. Please make bigger bags

Great food for dogs that have itchy skin.
I am a breeder and exhibitor of shetland sheepdogs. I purchased a puppy that developed a skin rash at 5 months. I found a forum on the internet ddiscussing this food and decided to give it a try. It is great and I have recommened to a lady with a spaniel as her dog suffers with skin allergies. The dog had improved considerably after 1 week of being on this.
Dogs love to eat it.
Please put out in larger bags so breeders can use it.

Who have you spoken to at the store as they are meant to be stocking,
thanks
Have just tried to purchase VIP dry dog food at Woolworths in Cowes, and they have taken it off the shelves, it's been great for my West Highland Terrier, no more tummy rumbles, very disappointed.

Really good for a dog with allergies
I bought this after reading on a forum that going grain free may help with dogs allergies.. My lab was scratching even though she gets treated for fleas and is flea free.
I tried this for a month and she stopped scratching then tried to go back to another brand that was not grain free type and the scratching returned, so I am back on the grain free VIP, you have nothing to lose, I have a Labrador so she does not need corn or wheat in her diet as it is only a filler that bulks up the product.
Try it you won't be dissapointed
Inexpensive
Need to sell it in the bigger bags like 15kg

Hi Ollie, Unfortunately we do not have a low calorie dry food in our range, however we do have a Lite & Mature chilled dog roll which can be fed in addition to dry food or as a stand alone diet as it is complete and balanced for all your dogs nutritional needs.

Ollieasked
Hi can I freeze the dog roll
1 answer
Real Pet Food Co.Natures Goodness
Hi Ollie, We recommend storing our rolls in the fridge at 4°C to ensure that they remain in optimal condition to the end of their shelf life.
If the roll is too large for your furry companion to consume within 5 days of opening the pack, you may like to freeze the roll.
When storing frozen, we suggest dividing the rollsinto meal sized portions and freezing these portions individually. We recommend using these frozen portions prior to the best before date of the roll is reached.
Thawing the roll portions is best done in the fridge, and once thawed, we do not recommend to re-freeze. You may notice that after thawing, the roll portions may appear a little soggy, as the natural gels used to create the firm texture, can break down during the freezing and thawing process.
We hope this helps
