My snap ultra seat doesn't fold. When I collapse the pram the chassis folds down as per all the videos I've watched, but the seat stays in position. Does it need to be facing a certain way or in a particular recline to collapse in one piece? I have to remove the seat each time which is frustrating.

Hi Anon627, you need to drop the seat to recline when mother facing using the buttons on the side of the chassis. There are 2 big black buttons and 2 smaller grey buttons, please call our customer service team on 03 9581 8000 and they will talk you through it. If you do this incorrectly and use force you can break your pram, please call our team :)

I’m buying the snap ultra pram tomorrow and I was wondering what specific bassinet, capsules ect will fit the pram. And what is best suited for a new born baby?

You can use it without a bassinet for a newborn. Just buy a pillowtop to make it more comfy. I have a car seat and the pram, separated. Not sure if yiu can fit a capsule on it.

Valiant B.Valco Baby

Hi Catherine, thanks for getting in touch :) The Snap Ultra is compatible with the Q Bassinet, Marjorie is correct you don't have to have a bassinet if you choose not to because the seat itself is suitable for a newborn but you do have the option of one should you choose. In terms of capsules, the pram has maxi cosi and britax adaptors available. It also has a multi-adaptor that is suitable for most brands, just need to call the team here or ask in-store to check. If you have any further questions, please call our customer service team on 03 9581 8000

I have a Snap Ultra Tailormade and have purchased the travel adapters so I can use it with my Maxi Cosi capsule. However, the capsule doesn’t fit (too big). Can you please provide a list of what model Maxi Cosi capsules are compatible? It seems not all work.

Will my baby overheat when using the boot cover to convert it to a bassinet? Is it essential to use the boot cover?

2 answers

Valiant B.Valco Baby

Hi Mai L, thanks for the question. It is not essential to use the bootcover, it is just an option should you choose to use it. It can be particularly helpful in the colder months at keeping the wind away from your newborn. But again, totally up to you whether you choose to use it or not. Your stroller is still suitable for a newborn without it :)

We found the cover was good for winter and it has a spare pocket too for stuff.

Hi,
We recently purchased a Snap Ultra trend. Now looking at car capsules and the only 0-12 month capsule I can find are:
- the Britax Safe-n-Sound Unity NEOS™
- the Joie I-Gemm Capsule Isofix 0-12 Months - Pavement & Base Pavement

.....does Valco Baby have an adapter for the Snap Ultra Trend which would work with these capsule?

Hi Brendan, thanks for getting in touch. We only have a Maxi Cosi adaptor available for the Ultra Trend but I do believe that it will also fit a Joie (might be a good idea just to double check this with the retailer when you purchase) but I believe it will fit :)

I’m on the short side and this doesn’t have an adjustable handle. Do other petite ladies find this an issue?

I’m also quite little (5”2) and I have just purchased this pram. At first I noticed the handlebar height when I pushed it around the shop with my 15 month old son but I quickly got used to it and now find it very comfortable. I replaced my very expensive $1500+ pram that had adjustable handle height with the Valco Snap Ultra and couldn’t be happier! Even though the handle isn’t adjustable all of the other features including how incredibly lightweight it is make up for this. And as I mentioned, I still find the handle height comfortable anyway :)

Hi there

I am looking to buy the Snap Ultra Tailor Made pram, but wanted to check a couple of things.

1) Does the seat convert to a bassinet suitable for a newborn? I keep reading conflicting advice on this.
2) Do you have a toddler board / seat that can fit to this pram?
3) Does the canopy have mesh for ventilation?

Thanks a million

Hi Tans, thanks for the question. The Snap Ultra tailormade is suitable for a newborn, you can recline the seat down and use the bootcover to create an enclosed safe environment. You can also purchase an additional bassinet if you are after something that can be removed from the pram and used elsewhere, the bassinet would click into your frame. Both our EZ rider board and Rover toddler board are suitable with the Snap Ultra models, either one would be fine. Yes on the Snap Ultra Tailormade models there is a breathable mesh panel in the hood. I hope this answers everything you wanted to know, please feel free to ask any additional questions or visit our website for more information :)

I’ve purchased a second hand snap ultra but it doesn’t seem to have a belt recline design. Is it because it’s an old version or something I missed?

1 answer

Hi Fairymum, it sounds like it is a Snap Ultra. They have a pivot seat design rather than the belt recline, the belt recline is available on our tailormade or belt recline models :) Hope this clears it up for you.

Hi from Spain !!
We have a problem with our Valco Snap Ultra Trend.
Our child is only 9 months old (8 KG - 72 cm) and the shoulder straps are set in their maximum lenght position.
The whole harness is now super tight no our baby and we already have checked the straps without any possibility to make them longer. The sliding clip in all the 5 straps is reaching the maximum (touching the Lock/trigger of the harness). I mean that we have no straps left with “double strip”, so we have no possibility to make them longer.
I am not sure if the Valco provider in Spain have missed something during the assembly of the stroller. It does not make sense for us that we have to buy some kind of extension kit or something like that ... we are not sure that this even exists !!! And it is also weird that we seem to be the only ones with this situation ...
Do you have any idea to help us? Is any extension kit available?

I don’t have the Snap Ultra trend but have a toddler that’s super tall and 12kg And fits perfectly. Could be something made too short for it? Maybe contact the manufacturer?

Hi Vicki, thanks for getting in touch. The pram wheels for the Snap Ultra are great for everyday use but you might benefit from using a Sports Pack. I would recommend that you use the everyday wheels to begin with and if you find you are needing something that handles the terrain better, then purchase the wheels. In this situation, it is also really important to maintence your wheels. When you assemble your pram for the first time, use a bit of silicon spray on the joints. Also you will need to take them off every 2-3 months, give the joints a good clean and another spray. If you need any more information, please feel free to call our customer service team on 03 9581 8000

Hi, I’m looking at the ultra tailormade compared to the ultra trend. Do the seats recline exactly the same? It looks like the tailormade seat goes more flat than the trend, is this true? Thanks.

Hi, im not sure about the trend as i have a standard snap ultra. The standard has 3 seat reclines so not ever truly flat, unless you buy thr bassinet, whereas the tailor made can go flat.
