Useless
We are cheap vacuum veterans, this is easily the worst vacuum we have ever owned. Suction fades away to nothing. Pushing feathers around on my carpet. The headpiece does not engage with the floor correctly. DO NOT BUY! We have wasted our money and not in a position to buy another vacuum right now. Very very disappointed.

Not worth it
Has only lasted about 6 months, was great to begin with, now the last few times I have used it the suction has become weak, the wheel cover keeps popping off and it overheats and turns itself off? It will not turn back on so I can't finish my cleaning, have tried to clean all the filters but this does not seem to work. Not sure at this point if I can be bothered to listen to the whole we can't give you a refund or that we have to send it away etc etc I need a reliable product! Won't be buying Vax again.

good vacuum. there is a DESIGN FAULT WITH THE WHEEL CAP....Got video if anyone is interested...
The VWC naked truth $99. It's a great vacuum. Performance as a vacuum it does all it's supposed to and more. .....BUT- it comes with a design fault. The wheel cap keeps blowing off. There is a 2000w motor and the only place the exhaust air pushes against is a small plastic wheel hub. I didn't pay $99 for it to do this. They tried to fix it but I showed them it's not fixed with video footage.BUT they won't return my texts or emails. My advice- Until they fix the design fault with the wheel cap that cannot be fixed. Don't buy the vax VWC.

Good for normal use
I am happy with the performance of the suction and also its overall performance is good.
It is not so light and little problem when you try to move on the carpet, sometime it gets stuck with carpet and does not move. However, it is good on the normal floor. Hence overall it is good with this price.

A bit noisy and hard to clean inside
Overall it is good when considering the price ($88). However it is a bit noisy and hard to clean inside. I have to use hand to pull out all the dirt. In addition, the cord isn't longer enough for the 2 bedroom apartment. But I am still happy with the purchase due to the low cost.

Terrible product
Went ok for 3 months but very troublesome after that. Stops operating at high suction power and takes morw than an hour to turn again. Very difficult to clean too. Plastic covers regularly comes off and I've fix them by tapeing it all around it or else it won't work

So much suction power...im just in awe of this machine
I am very impressed with this vac's suction capabilities. There Is Even A knob one Can adjust for greater or lesser suction power. There's the option to vacuum both carpeted and non carpeted floors a simple flick either forwards or backwards is all thats needed. The machine is by far the quietest vac I've ever owned and it can manouver itself into all sorts of nooks and tight spaces..It can also flatten out 2 fit under sofas and tv stands etc. The wheels run very smoothly on carpet and the machine doesn't topple over when you pull it along ali...Read more
ttle.I have only tried it on my carpeted floors 2 b/rms lounge and little hallway..I noticed some exta hose attachments which I have yet to try..bt just looking at the results..my carper even looks brighter..probably because all the dust was also vacuumed up..I highly recommend this to anyone..It gets the job done..with abit of style.Similar opinion? Good suction
The suction is very powerful. The actual machine is light and easy to carry around compared to my old vacuum. The negative would be the noise. It's quite loud compared to others. I use it on carpet and tiles with no issues. I even vacuum my bed with it using the upholstery one.

So far so good.
Vax Cylinder 2000W is the ideal vacuum less than $100 and Its light to pull around and I love the fact that its bagless. It switches with ease from wood floors to carpet. The barrel moves with ease and stores away compactly. Even though it was relativity cheap it still does a great job and I'm very happy with it

Great value for money!
This is a powerful vacuum at an affordable price. Definitely wouldn't recommend for heavy users, but perfect for keeping our 1 bedroom apartment and king bed clean. Potential downsides for people are that it can be a little noisy and clunky, but I wouldn't count this as a negative given its not being advertised as that & it doesn't worry my wife and I. The HEPA filter is also very asthma friendly.

great value for a little sucker
bought this vacuum on sale & was hesitant to buy it given such an equal amount of negative reviews & good reviews, but i got lucky & 1 month down the line, its still the best little sucker for it price range. I couldn't justify spending over $300 to vacum a small apartment, but this little beast does wonders.

Terrible vacuum and terrible service from VAX
It was cheap but was told it was a decent vacuum. The suction is poor and slightly larger things get stuck in the top section of the pickup, constantly having to open it. The handle failed within a few months and the wheel keep falling off so was returned to Good Guys Darwin who sent it off to be repaired. They told me they can't exchange it as its used it can only be repaired. Fair enough. 2 weeks without a vacuum. So instead of repairing it they gave me a brand new one. I would have rather returned the brand new vacuum than use this garbage again. Spoke to Good Guys who said that they can't do anything about it as it was done by VAX.
Do yourself a favour and spend more to get something decent. This product is absolute garbage.

Cheap, but really poor
This Vacuum is just $99 from JB Hi-Fi but it is terribly designed. I use it for a 1br apartment with tiles one large rug and one carpeted bedroom. It gets blocked constantly at least once every time i use the thing requiring me to take the hose off and pull out whatever is blocking it often hair or dustballs. The hose is a pain to get in and out to unblock it and it has little suction power, mainly because it is usually blocked. Vax make good products, i bought a handheld Vax I'm very pleased with but this one is a real dud. It is also loud and the cord likes to pull out of the wall rather than unwinding.

Not worth Buying
Bought one from Goodguys, Broke with 6 weeks of buying goodguys repaired it. It lasted exactly until the warranty was and died very next month after the warranty expired.
Don't buy it better to spend little bit more money and buy something better.

Very strong vacuum cleaner
Purchased about 6 weeks ago. The cleaner has excellent suction - we have cats, and all their hair is easily collected by this vacuum cleaner. It is quite loud - maybe that's because it has such strong suction for a little machine. The longer hose is very handy, and the tools all work great. The dusting brush is great on security screens. The balance of the machine is different to the ones I've had in the past and I'm finding that a bit awkward - I seem to have to tug it along whereas previous machines have seemed to roll along behind me more easily. This machine is easy to empty and clean. Love the rewindable cord.
