Good Little Workhorse.

published

This is a good little workhorse. Stylish and effective. It is powerful enough to provide good suction. Light weight and easily movable.

The only fault is in the capsule that stores the collection dust, it can be difficult to empty as dust gets stuck in the corners of the cylinder.

Overall value for money. I would purchase again.

Absolute rubbish

published

While it seemed O.K. at first, the brush at the front fell out. Less than 3 months old. On returning it today 13th September for a refund we certainly did not want an exchange, an another staff member not the the assistant serving my husband said the brush on hers fell out out too. Disappointing as it was light (I do not have full use of my right arm) and the charge did our whole house which is two story and four bedrooms although it always needed to be emptied afterwards. Now we have to look for another brand which is light and does the job.

GOOD value and does the job

published

Got this handheld vaccumn to replace our ageing black and decker that has served us well.
Seems to do the job and hoping that it will be durable over time. The suction is sufficient and it cost us less than half the price of a Dyson V6. Battery life is better than the Dyson V6.

So easy to use

published

lightweight and easy to use and empty, i can vacuum my whole house without the battery dying.
Easy to maneuver into tight corners, has the capability for continuous use without having to keep your hand on the trigger. Great value for money and a 2 year warranty, make it a winner with me.

Great Stick Vac

published

I am very happy with this stick vac it has great performance with great suction. It is lightweight so very easy to maneuver and the supplied attachments make it very versatile. I have owned the vac for only six months so can't comment on its longevity but so far so good.

Great stick vacuum

published

Love my Vax vx51. I use it most days around kitchen and living room, and the battery life is plenty long for that. It picks up dirt really easily and doesn't miss much, especially with the rotating head. Love that I can also use as a handheld without the stick. Great value for money

Very good but...

published

(Update after having it a year - I'm looking to get a dyson. Just don't find the suction that good and the hardfloor attachment just pushes dirt around. Not terrible but just don't have high expectations I guess you get what you pay for.)

Original review-I like everything about it except the quality of the hard floor attachment (additional accessory I had to special order). It really isn't soft and doesnt glide easily on the floors. Would probably have been better attaching felt pads to the head that comes with it. Great otherwise and glad I saved the money instead of getting a dyson.

Not so good

published

It's suction is good but not up to satisfaction and it is heavy which means not easy to maneuver. It's easy to clean and compact design is the best thing. It's more efficient on tiles as compared to carpet. I live in apartment and the area to vacuum is small.

Love it!

published

I use this at least once a day to vacuum our tiles and carpet. We have an inside dog so of course, I like to get rid of the fur! And now that we have an almost crawling baby, cleaning the floors is a must. It's easy to clean, very light, picks up almost everything (sometimes it won't pick things up but it's not a big deal) and it's not too loud. My parents have one of the competitors version and they can't even finish their house with a full battery, I can vacuum our house twice on a full battery! Very happy with it. :)

I like it

published

I used to use the Electrolux 18v vacuum cleaner, but this vacuum is much more powerful, the battery lasts longer. More powerful compared to similar products and a great price compared to others. Picks up pet hair with ease! So light and easy to use. I love how long the reach is. I can stand upright. Easy to take the components on and off!

Excellent Stick Vac

published

I have had this for a few months and I am really impressed so far. Battery life is excellent I easily get the claimed 22 min run time, suction is very good and is extremely powerful which really surprised me. Very easy to clean and the quality of the parts are very good.

Ok

published

I have 3 kids and a large house. I purchased this for small quick messes. I find it easy to maneuver and easy to charge although having girls the hair gets tangled easily which is a pain. Best used on carpet. I can zip around my 4 bedroom 2 living areas and hallways and study on a full charge. Have had it for about 6 months and it is still going strong. I do feel as though the suction is not the best as it does leave somethings behind.

its okay

published

Its not the best vacuum cleaner for large areas. I prefer a dyson over this. The vax is great for one room but when your trying to do multiple rooms or the whole house it sort of loses its strength. Its a great interim vacuum but id recommend investing in something better for long term use.

What a fantastic product!

published

Forget Dyson this is fab! Perfect for hard floors you can whip around in no time. The battery for the suction amount is fine you just can't dawdle if you have more than 20mins to do. I can't believe how much it picked up and my other vacuum is a Miele. Would definitely purchase again.

Good, not great

published

This is a good vacuum cleaner, it has reasonable suction considering the size and the battery time is good, plenty of battery to get around our three bedroom hardwood floor house. My only real complaint would be maneuverability, the swivel head at the end of the vacuum turns too easily, making it difficult to push in a straight line.

I have a Vax V51 model slim upright and I have lost the charger cable/plug. I have found one on Ebay but it is $40 with postage. Does anyone know of an alternative for charging this model and is this the usual price for a replacement charger? Thanks.

Has any one had a problem with the little rubber thing inside the where the wand attaches to the cylinder closing over while you are vacuuming therefore nothing gets picked up.
All the stuff just sits in the wand part as it cant get through to the cylinder.
