We collected keys to our beautiful house on 8th April 2020. We could not be happier with our house.

Ventura Homes was the first builder we spoke to, and we were very impressed with New Home Consultant, Clint Joy. There was no pushy sales talk; he took a genuine interest in what we were looking for and the lifestyle we wanted to create, without overextending our budget. We were also very taken with Ventura's build quality, fixtures, and finishes which provide good value for money.

We initially payed $3000 deposit with a well known builder, stating that as long we felt you are being honest we were happy to continue. They weren't....

We werent sure if we wanted to build again and were less than enthusiastic walking around display homes. Until we met Simon Mort. He listened to what we needed and practically drew our new home on tracing paper in front of us. We walked away feeling confident and most importantly, excited about the prospect of building again. First up, our home is amazing, the build is a high standard and we love it. Here comes the part that you may not want to hear Ventura. It is nine months since our home has been finished and we are still waiting for items identified prior to hand over to be attended to. We had obtained a large block of land but were undecided on a builder. Thank you Ventura for making it easy for us. Right from the beginning, great design, great pricing, our expectations were well managed. The design flew through the contracts stage and pre start stage. Few issues with a tricky council that were dealt with well by their pre-construction team. We went with Ventura even though they are not the cheapest as we loved their designs the most. As any builder, all displays are in tip top shape and so is Ventura so that was not a factor in us choosing them. Salesperson was lovely and a joy to work with. No issues with contracts or pre-start. Every single pricing is transparent and open. Price agreed upon during contract signing was the price I paid at the end.

We started the process dealing with Ventura Homes in late 2017, it took a little while about 7 months to complete all the paperworks to get us to the building process due to turnover of staff. However, the building process was very fast, there isn't much issue so far other than settlement cracks, and there was a leak in the tiled roof which has been fixed. We signed a Preparation of Plans Agreement on 25/04/19 however we did not receive the plans within the 60 day period as per the agreement and what we did receive after this date was incorrect.
The Contract Quotation that we did receive did not include any allowance for scaffolding (even though it was a 2 x storey build) and the builders margin quoted on the contract was 33% which we considered grossly excessive.
