Worst machine I worked with
Very unsatisfied. Not very well built, It gets extremely hard to work with this machine because it gets really hot around the steamer and you can burn yourself every time you touch it.
Purchased in January 2021 for $2,700.00.

Steer clear of this machine
Firstly, yes this machine does make great coffee when matched with a suitable commercial quality grinder. But, the build quality/reliability is not good. I was sold it with the promise that it has commercial quality components inside, but friends who bought Giotto’s at the same time still have their machine running, while mine has a cracked boiler and is currently a paper weight in my shed. No-one wants to perform the boiler replacement and I haven’t heard from Vibiemme. There are more reliable machines around, I’d get something else.

Excellent Espresso Machine
I have had my VBM since 2010 and have found it to be excellent. Easy to use and clean, I saw a post that it was hard to clean I have not found any problem, super easy.
Makes excellent coffee every day. Never had any problems. It has had a couple of professional services and the last one I did myself with some kits from Coffe Parts.
I recently bought a Mazzer Super Jolly grinder and the coffee seems to be even better.
Love my coffee.

Great Coffee Maker. Not So Sure About Reliability.
In the 2 years we've had ours, it's been OK. It's not terribly reliable. The steam pressure guage doesn't work any more. The steam wand and tap has had to have a complete new seal and valve set installed. It's an absolute annoyance to clean/descale too. But I forgive it it's little faults because it makes great coffee. You need a high quality commercial grinder to get the coffee grinds small and even enough - don't let anyone tell you any different. We have a Mazzer. You need fresh coffee beans to get good results too. AND it takes a bi...Read more
t of practice - but most people could master making a flat white after a few goes. It has a good sized tank, and a commercial group head and a solid basket/handle. The chrome finish has been durable and easy to clean. Italian made coffee machines all seem to have reliability issues as this is our third machine (the other two were different brands) and probably the longest lasting . If you want a more reliable machine, try a Wega.1 comment

Great for the home barista
We have had our machine for 2 years now, and use it to make around 20 cups of coffee per week. So far we have encountered no mechanical problems whatsover.
This is our first 'proper' machine, so it took a bit of time to get used to it. And I still find that with each new supply of beans, we have to fiddle around with the grind, the amount of tampering etc. to get a good crema. But I imagine this is the same with any similar machine.
I would say that having a great grinder as well as the coffee machine is esential to a great cup (ours is ...Read more
a mazza). And buying good beans. You need to invest in all three for the machine itself to be worthwhile. Everytime we have tried without all three, the resulting cup has been a massive disappointment. Once you have the hang of it, you can achieve a fabulous crema Also need a good grinder and quality beans to get the best out of itSimilar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!
OK
Our only complaint is the amount of times this machine breakes down, around 11 times since we've owned it. The latest thing is the Gicar controller.... some circuit failed in it. My husband has started fixing it himself because of the time, effort and cost of having it sent away for repair. We're trying to research and see if there is a more reliable machine out there, then we may sell this one.
A great looking machine and makes a very good coffee. We've owned ours for 4 years now, so it's like a member of the family...... with good points and bad points.
We've just had it break down..... again. Now we're back to using our little stove top coffee pot until it's fixed. The bill is likely to be around $300...... again

Excellent
This is the best machine without going to full commercial. Very well thought out with the coffee drinker in mind yet still very easy to use. The model I have is full stainless. We make around 10-15 cups a day. I would get the unit plumbed in if I replace the unit. It will be with maybe the electronic
Best steem, solid performance with 2 or 10 coffee's. Never had a problem in 3 years. I do have it serviced every year

After 4 years, still going strong. I take it to a coffee machine service centre every year. It's a bit of a pain to do that but the machine is still working like a champ after daily use. We use fil... Read more
