Missing You Hoyts

Where do I start.
-Small selection of dvds
-Over priced $4!
-New releases can take upto 2 weeks to be stocked even though screen above kiosk shows otherwise.
-Long waits for customer service when called and then disconnected after all that waiting due to high volume of calls(I wonder why)
-Poor customer service
-No online services ether.

Hoyts wasn't perfect but my experience with video ezy has been frustrating and extremely disappointing.

Three separate attempts at Wollies Fairy Meadow site. What a sad state of affairs, I now have no way to rent DVD's

Ive learnt my lesson.. will not return

I hired a movie from a kiosk inside shopping centre at 9pm just before closing, when i went home to watch it the dvd was deliberately scrathed with a blade obviously by the previous renter... so i tried calling the helpline but answering machine just keeps saying they are experiencing high volume of calls and asks me to call back another time.. so i tried next morning.. same deal, so ive emailed them and got an automated reply saying to wait 5days for a reply.... i now cant return the dvd as shopping centre is closed on public hol.. and im not sure where i can return it... will probably get a late fee for a dvd i couldnt even play... where is the protection for consumer in that logic??? Will never return

Very poor we got a DVD out and it’s barcode was scratched off and we could not return it... it cost $20 to send it express post back and then they still haven’t received it and charged us again another $35

Such a poor selection of bluray.. in this age where uhd's are available why do they mainly stock DVD's???? I want to see bluray only machines,, get rid of the outdated dvd... poor effort you cheapskates...

Terrible Web interface

-Web interface shows movies as available at a kiosk that are not.
-No way to book movies online
-Web locations are not specific in detail making machines in shopping Centre's hard to find. .. especially when you call their customer service and they tell you it's next to a coffee shop that no longer exists.
-Machines are not universal meaning you often can't return to another machine.

What happened to hoyts kiosks?

I was charged $95 ($35 per DVD) on my credit card for "failing to return" x3 hired DVD's.... these were all returned the day after hiring them, so was consequently appalled to see these charges. I rang their customer service and was told I had to wait 10 days for them to run their investigation... only to be told that nothing was found and i wasn't getting my money back. I will never use there service again and would advise everyone to avoid this dodgy company! I rang my bank and they are looking into it for me, they said this happens all the time.... do yourself a favour and go to the movies instead!!!

All of our local DVD kiosks were previously operated by Hoyts Kiosk until they sold out to this mob. Video Ezy does not provide accurate online advice on which DVDs are available at a particular kiosk, nor do they have an online reservation facility. Their smaller kiosks also seem to have fewer copies of new releases. The website does not even provide an accurate list of nearby kiosks. Hoyts Kiosk was brilliant, and we used them almost every week. This mob is a bunch of amateurs.

Great customer service

Used these alot, and only twice I got charged for overdues, once 5 mins late, and next time 15 mins late. Both times I emailed customer service and got a refund. The 9 pm return is generous and the cheap prices are great, my local dvd store (yes there is one) charges more for a weekly than they do for a latest release from video ezy. The only setback would be lack of choice.

So I've just had $45.50 in unauthorized transactions taken in fees in under a week.. this is a joke the last of my money and wont be refunded and won't set up a payment plan to take a small amount weekly and its 2 weeks til christmas how is that fair never ever using this service again!

Extreme Poor Customer Service & Incorrect Charges

I rented a movie on Friday and was charged for another movie on Saturday. When I called to organise a refund and lady I spoke to was extremely rude and didn't help me. I still haven't been able to speak with someone to organise a refund.

Loyal Hoyts kiosk user and with the merger received a $10 voucher to try the Video Ezy Kiosk. Went to the kiosk and what a waste of time. Machine was working but no movies displayed for rent. Went through every menu - Rating, Genre, Release date, All movies .... Nothing to rent!!!!

Called customer service line but due to daylight saving time difference all closed for the night. On returning home mildly disappointed went on-line and read these reviews and looks like I have dodged a big issue by not being able to rent from Video Ezy Kiosk. Lucky for me the Blockbuster Kiosk is closer.

Bring back Hoyts

Our Hoyt's kiosk was replaced by video ezy. You can't see online if they have blu rays and you can't reserve online. All of which I could do at the Hoyt's kiosk.
Why do t they have mainly blu Ray? Who wants to watch standard definition any more??
Back to Foxtel and Netflix for me.

Beware Video Ezy Express Kiosk Return Scam

Rented my first DVD from one of their kiosks and returned it on time. Machine took the DVD but then the computer froze. Waited for a while but nothing happened and the DVD was not ejected. Same story as many below, ended up with a $35 overdue charge even though its a problem with their tech. Will not be going back and will have to go through the hassle of a credit card recharge. Hoyts are much more reliable, made multiple rentals from their machines and never had a problem.

Hi rented a dvd today from burpengary near Woolworths, when I went to pay it rebooted. I waited and selected my movie which was Angel has fallen. It has given me the wrong movie. Some Nicolas cage crappy movie. Am I able to get credit for the money spent
