Disappointed I really like this spray mop, but not working right.
I used this spray mop a few times and no problem then I used today and water everywhere. Checked to see the problem but wasn't obvious. The cup filled up fr9m a small whole beside the bottom. Can't return as no receipt.
Good fast cleanup, had seal issue if use scented cleaner liquids
I now spray floor with spray and wipe treatment first.
We had to replace the liquid cavity because manufacturer said we destroyed the seals using scented cleaning liquid. Now I just use water after spray and wipe does it's magic. Manufacturer couldn't tell me what detergents don't have scent added, said just don't use ones that do. I can't find any in grocery store or Bunnings that don't. Bunnings sold me vanilla metho to add, apparently that's wrong too.
Complete dud.
Moved into a new home a few months ago, with living areas of white tiles, partly covered with rugs, so didn't want to lug a wet mop and bucket around. After using at most half a dozen times, with plain water, the spray bottle flooded the kitchen floor. Tried another day with the top screwed on really tightly - same again. Had to drag out the old cotton mop to clean up. Unfortunately I don't have the docket for a refund - hardly expected somethign so simple to fail.

I was looking for a better solution to keeping our kitchen clean as our baby is learning to eat. I didn't want anything too big or complicated (ie corded steam mop) as we really only have hardfloors in kitchen and bathroom.
While the reviews on this mop were a bit hit and miss I figured I would give it a go. The Promist mop I bought looks different from the image above (see picture attached) - the spray bottle is actually integrated into the mop handle, which is less bulky and easier to store than some of the other spray mops I looked at.
... Read moreSo far the mop has been perfect. I use it every day to clean up spills from the under the highchair. The quality feels sturdy but it is lightweight, spray works well and it is exactly what I need to clean up little spills every day from under the highchair. I like that the mop head is reusable and machine washable - I bought an extra cover so I could always have one on the go. I read a couple reviews about the spray bottle not working after a while (I assume from getting clogged up). The instructions state not to use oil based cleaners. The floor cleaner I use has essential oils so I have only filled the spray with water and couple drops of vinegar - I then put a bit of my floor cleaner on any big spills or around the floor if I am doing a full mop....this works for me but I will update if the spray bottle stops working.Find out how Vileda ProMist 2 compares to other Mops & Buckets

Love It!
I bought the Vileda spray mop on the recommendation of my daughter. I have a large white tiled floor area and was finding that having to get my steam mop out every other day to spot clean was starting to be annoying. This mop has made life so much easier. I use it every day and have found that it is light and easy to use. I now only use my steam cleaner once a week.

Epic fail
I am a professional cleaner in seniors homes. I WAS recommending this mop due to ease of use for arthritic hands and backs...however, for the 20+ clients I recommended this to, as well as my own home vileda, the spray quit working. Every single one of them, within a couple months, sometimes over a couple weeks. The old vileda spray mop, worked BEAUTIFUL, but it appears that for whatever reason, RUBBERMAID now has the technology for the spray bottle/trigger.
Show detailsWent through 2 mops and 4 water tanks
The water tank seal constantly breaks. Went through so many and in the end I gave up and bought a Sabco spray mop and it works like a charm. The convenience is good of a spray mop though.
Easy to use and works
Have had this a while, few months, and it works well. The trigger water/detergent spray works as it should too. Suggest stickng to the recommended detergent type and dilution though just in case. I use a cleaner at 10% dilution. The floor pad is easily removable and rinses under the tap.
A great idea but only lasted 4 months
The mop was easy to use and solved my problem of dirty floors after my babies' every meal. I was very happy with it until one day the spray simply stopped working and the mechanism fell apart. Luckily Woolies refunded me. It only lasted 4 months. My friend who recommended me this mop had the same happen to her.

Failed before 2 months old
Great concept, but for a $40 mop it should last longer than 2 months. The water isn't being drawn through to the spray mechanism. Have left a phone message and online contact form today so hopefully Vileda responds.
14/04 - update, online support has been helpful and will be sending a voucher so I can replace the product. When voucher arrives I will improve the star rating of this review. Also to note: apparently oil-based cleaners shouldn't be used in the mop however vileda website states to use with your favourite cleaner. My cleaner is wa

I have asked vileda customer service to provide me with acceptable floor cleaner ingredients so that I can make an informed purchase of floor cleaner being that I should be able to use my favourite floor cleaner as per their website - however customer service informed me that water and metho should be used only (so a contradiction to what their website states!).Questions & Answers
Same problem with our mop.....cavity that holds water/floor cleaner module fills up with the contents and goes everywhere. I thought by buying Villeda it would be quality but it is rubbish.

No surprises, the replacement doesn't work. I haven't used it much as went back to a conventional mop. Same problem and this time they can't try to blame it on me using floor cleaner in it (even tho
