Hi

I see you posted your question on 8 Feb, but I received notification of it on 14 Feb...

I personally find the mower easy to start. I rarely ever have to pull the starter more than one time to get the mower started, even after it has been left outside for the winter and not started in a few months.

The engine is made by Briggs & Stratton and is the same model engine that my previous mower (that I used for 14 years and only threw out because the deck rusted away) had. Interestingly, there are some differences in the engines, the previous mower engine was even easier to start, used less petrol, ran more smoothly and used less oil.

I hope this helps.

Hi, I have a 4 stroke Victa Hawk. Extremely reliable machine.
Keep the oil topped up, sharpen the blades regularly and keep it clean after use. It will last a lifetime !!
