Hi,
Can I but the beads separately as the bag of beads perished after 3 yrs of use.
I’ve put them in a thin Muslin bag and recharge beads in sun once a month .. I’m wondering if these beads are still ok as I’ve noticed the odd black spot on them.. I wash them under water each month and the container aswell.
How much are the beads separately?
Thanks
Roseen

You can buy the small organza bags from Spotlight (Bridal Section) . It’s a bit fiddly to change the beads into the new bags but 10 bags only cost approx $10, saves paying the ridiculous price for replacement bags of beads

My beads look darker. Instructions on cleaning are vague. You just instructed to clean using 3% hydrogen peroxide or to soak in bicarb soda and place in sun. For how long? How much peroxide? Have no clue. Do i soak it in bicarb soda and drain and then place on the sun to dry? Unclear.

I think you're just supposed to rinse them in running water. I don't think you're supposed to her really clean them per say .,.

These vague instructions came with beads from the seller..it was not my idea ...I still need more specific guide on how to clean them.

What is being filtered by the beads and how does it work? How does it compare with reverse osmosis? Does it filter out dust that comes off the roof? We use rainwater and when the first rain comes, it washed all dirt from the roof and makes the water look brown. It still tastes ok, but it looks bad and I don't know how good that is for us.
Cheers,
Anke

Hi Anke
I would love to completely understand just how the beads work - but I dont have a chemistry background, so I have to rely on my experience alone. The water tastes better and my plants have absolutely responded to it - dramatically (eg. one plant that I have had for about 10 years has never flowered and it has not only flowered within days of watering it with the purified water, but it has remained in flower ever since).
In terms of handling dust from your roof, I cannot saywhat the impact will be. We use tap water, so the main benefit for us was much improved flavour and 'mouth feel' - definitely a lighter texture (is it possible to pick up on a lighter water tension layer? I have no idea, but I do know that the water feels different; softer and lighter in my mouth (hard to explain, but imagine the different mouth feel between a fortified wine and a crisp white wine - the Port is much heavier. hope that makes sense).
So, while Ive waffled on a bit, I would say that my personal experience correlates with the description on the Vitel website on what the beads do. It explains that the beads act on the molecular level and the molecules are smaller as a result (easier to absorb). Again, while I cannot verify this with my own research, I can say that my experience with the water and the sensation I experience when drinking it correlates with the Vitel description (at least it seems to). The beads are apparently contributing magnesium to the water, making it more alkaline.

You seem to be the sort of person who does their own research and that's great. the last thing I'll say which plays on my mind and adds value to the purified water resulting from the beads is that I have read the value of magnesium to the body lately ... (and please continue to do your own research because this is nowhere near my area of expertise and Im not meaning to tell you anything) ... but my understanding is that most of us are low on magnesium and this leads to osteoporosis (amongst other things). There apparently needs to be a balance of magnesium and calcium in your body and commercial farming has lead to mineral deficient soil - low levels of minerals in soil, low levels of minerals in food grown in it and low levels of minerals in the food means low minerals for us. And, we cannot absorb vitamins without minerals). So, Im pleased to be getting more magnesium in my diet!

I hope my response is helpful. While I cannot respond with the sort of certainty you may be seeking, I can say that for me (and my family), the water purifier does indeed do something very positive to the water. It tastes better and is more enjoyable to drink. We can taste the difference (taste tested friends and they agree 100% of the time - the purified water is much better).

Oh! last thing: I researched many options including reverse osmosis and you found them to all be very expensive. The purified water is very reasonable and provides an excellent result. If money is not an issue, then you'll find many other options and maybe reverse osmosis is for you. For us, for now, the purified water is perfect.

Good luck with your choice!

Well they claim the organisms can't live ii this water, which might be true, but I'd want a lot more info than they supply. And it concerns me greatly that most of the 5 star reviews for this item have ONE REVIEW ONLY (this product) but haven't reviewed anything else. I would also be wary of GOVERNMENT APPROVED claims because the owner states it started through NEIS so it means government approved. No it does not. The business structure and practices need to be in line with current laws. That has nothing to do with the product itself.

If I decant the water into a jug to pop in the fridge, will the water deactivate, ie, does the water need to have beads in it all the time or when the water is activated, it remains fully activated? Also, does boiling the water affect the composition of the activated water? Thanks :)

Hi there,

We try and run a completely organic household as my husband has cancer. At the moment I have 2 Stefani Ceramic water filters for heavy metals and bacteria, I then add Borax to another ceramic container to remove fluoride, this is used for coffee, cooking etc. We only drink Pureau H20.

This is all very time consuming but has to be done as we cannot afford a filter that would do all this.
Your beads look very interesting for home and pool, please can you tell me if it removes heavy metals as well as organisms and bacteria?

Both my daughter and myself are looking to use this in our pools, hers is a full sized one and mine just a 10,000L one.

Regrds,

Lynn

Can you use any type of glass container what’s the best?

As far as I know, you can put the bags of beads in a glass container, but you'd want a tap at the bottom. Best to just use the container Vitel sells though, in my opinion. (I'm not affiliated with Vitel, by the way)

Best to check with them.

Vitel Water
Greg W.Vitel Water

Hi thanks Sam, you can use any water dispenser. Ceramic is best, glass is great, the only problem with glass is it can't sit near a window. You dont want sunlight near the dispenser. This is why we use ceramic.

You claim the magnesium oxide beads never need to be replaced, yet you also say they release oxygen into the water, and your tests also show Vitel water has higher magnesium content. IOW, the magnesium oxide decomposes into oxygen and magnesium, leaving the magnesium in the water and the oxygen eventually evaporates. How come you say the beads never need replacing?

Hi Andre, we have been selling vitel beads for nearly 8 years in Australia and none have evaporated otherwise we would have to replace them as they are guaranteed forever.. The beads cause a reaction with water which restructures water. If you want more information Andre you can call vitel water on 0421704861

How well does your system work for rainwater where chlorine and fluoride are not an issue but there is more sediment and grime?

2 answers
Vitel Water
Greg W.Vitel Water

Hi, it depends on how the rainwater is kept and what it is kept in. A drum is great for rainwater. The beads will control any bacteria and lower life forms in the water. The beads will alkalize the rain water. If sediment is of concern we can provide chiffon covers for pot.

carlos
carlos

The water does not pass through a filter, so sediment that goes in to the pot (in solution) will come out. If you put cordial into the pot, cordial comes out. Of course any particulate matter may settle to the bottom of the pot over time and then not be transferred through the tap, but the sediment would need to be removed from the bottom of the pot periodically. You would need to filter the sediment out of the water before transferring it into the water pot.
