SCAMMERS BEWARE
I was charged $600 for a service on the haltec cuplink which didnt fix the problem nor did they replace the filter. A simple software update that ended up costing me $150 from an independent mechanic fixed the problem but Keystar Kippa Ring said there wasnt any update. Had the car for 1 week and tried to charge me $7700 to replace it! Volkswagen Australia was also notified!

Terrible customer service and poor workmanship at Mt Gravatt
Rude customer service staff who were not prepared to honour warranties under consumer protection law. Made changes to the vehicle without prior consent and to a lower standard. Really unhelpful.

Great Customer Care & Service
Our 2016 VW Golf GTI 40 Years had developed a water leak somewhere from the water pump / thermostat housing area. Our service mechanic (non VW service center) made me aware of the issue. The car had done 37K and was in good condition serviced more frequently than the recommended log book intervals. The warranty had expired August 2022. My mechanic advised me to call VW and have the issued looked at based on the relatively low km's and condition of the car.
VW Australia arranged for the car to be inspected by Castle Hill VW service center. The...Read more
service staff there were extremely professional and courteous. They submitted a report on the issue to VW and to our surprise they agreed to repair the problem at no cost to us. This needs to be acknowledged and and a big thanks to both VW Australia and the staff at Castle Hill VW service department for the professional manner that the issue was handled and resolved.Similar opinion? Loss of trust in Frizelle Sunshine
I recently attended an advertised sale and promotion at Tweed Volkswagon part of the Frizelle Sunshine group. It was indicated that great sales would be on offer and they wanted to complete deals. On obtaining details of the changeover price on a new vehicle I was surprised to discover that the trade in price offered was at least $5,000 under the cars value. This information is readily available on a multitude of web sites. I can only assume that Frizelles don’t think customers will check the valuation price.
Consequently it was not possible to finalise a deal with Frizelles even though they upped their initial offer. As a result I have lost confidence with Frizelles and will look to change away from driving a Volkswagon.

Service
Oil alarm came on in between services. I had my car towed after the fiasco that was (organising) and then informed by the dealership there was nothing wrong it had used the oil. I don’t think a 2022 model that’s travelled 42000kms should burn oil to the point the alarm came on should have any issues like this. Then Bendigo VW explained this is considered within the acceptable range... I was never told this when buying the vehicle. Then I was asked to do an oil consumption test by driving a 1000kms so they could test the consumption. No fault fo...Read more
und. Two weeks later I am slugged a bill for $400 after they had to pay a technician to assess it. What about a 5 year unlimited km warranty? I am outraged! No hint that I was responsible for paying for this. They couldn’t even organise a replacement car whilst mine was off the road, and after arguing was offered a matchbox to drive (great when you’re 6ft 8). Dealing with them has been stressful, inconvenient and in the end of no benefit. VW clearly enjoy torturing their customers and I should have heeded the emissions scandal as a measure of their willingness to look after and support their customers.Similar opinion? Traralgon Volkswagen Service
Recently I have had to have a mechanical repair to my V6 Amarok, the repair took 4 days to complete and there was a following adjustment required to the engine management system (oil level alarm) which took a further 2 days.
The service and assistance went above what was required, thanks to Sam and Andrew Service Managers and Dale from Sales.
Would I buy anther car from Traralgon Volkswagen - YES

The management and staff of this dealership are thieves, do not give them your credit card as they will take funds without your authorisation and will not give you a refund, instead of taking one deposit from my savings they have taken that, and $1500 from my credit card with no authority at all. They call you at 7pm and tell you that they have taken funds accidentally? The worst service I have ever had at a car dealership. They are also refusing to provide me with a reciept.

terrible service!
I wanted to get some info about the 2015 Amarok I saw at the other independent place. I had rego and vin number and wanted them to check it in their internal system as it is VW Australia. I wanted to know if it is 4wd as there is no badge and no 4WD button but rego says it is 4WD. No help at all.
if the car is not from their backyard they won't help you at all.
They even won't give you general info. They send to VW Australia and VW Australia sends me to the closest dealership.
Useless service!
I have a Golf atm as well but I am selling this now- not gonna support this brand anymore.

A huge thanks to Ming for his strong product knowledge, professional service and attention to detail with our VW Golf R enquiries and test drives. From the start of the looking process to the buying and happily shaking hands process Ming was a pleasure to deal with and trust worthy. A true asset to the VW brand.

Another day wasted. How much is my time worth?
I recently took my car polo beats rego 191WYF into norris kedron QLD where I brought it from. The car is not 3 years old yet. The in park light or something similar was coming on while driving. They knew straight away what it was a common problem apparently. I also had a recall fixed . Something to do with tow point. They had the car for half day .They had to talk housing off around automatic shift stick. But when they put it back on they left a USB charger cable suck under the housing. Now I have to take it in again. Another day wasted!
Just email apology and said bring it in and we'll fix it . Nothing for my time and energy wasted.

Buyer Beware - Amarok Or Amalemon
Buyer beware Long Story but worth the read if considering purchase of a Volkswagen.
Amarok Or Amalemon
In May 2022, I purchased a 2018 Volkswagen Amarok 2H MY18 TDI550 Ultimate, from Westpoint Autos Volkswagen (Westpoint), 440 Moggill Rd, Indooroopilly, QLD. The total purchase price of the Amarok being $72,000, inclusive of interest. The Amarok had 26,000 kilometres on the odometer and was supposedly sold to me with the remainder of a 5 year factory warranty and 10 year mechanical dealer warranty. The honeymoon ends the moment your warranty does with VW and it's dealers!!!
Hello, and thanks for reading my post.
I bought a 2016 Passat Alltrack privately late last year while it was still under warranty. It had only traveled 22k at the time and had always been serviced at a VW dealership. It didn't come up for it's 30k service until the end of May 2022, it's warranty having expired barely two months prior 25th March). I took it to my local VW dealership, Bayford in Epping (Vic) for it's service and transmission fluid change. All seemed fine until a few weeks later. It started with the "Auto sensing" headlights acti...Read more

The price might be 'premium' but the service is not (Wodonga Volkswagen)
One of the most difficult aspects of owning a car like a Volkswagen when living outside of a major regional centre, is being basically locked into having only one available service agent. In the case of Wodonga Volkswagen, whilst the price might be 'premium' the service is not. They never properly explain non-routine work that they say needs doing, or take/show photos of underneath the car, or put it up on a hoist so that you can see what they are talking about. When a physical repair is going to cost over $1,000, that is certain,y not an unreasonable expectation. i.e. Don't treat the customer like a witless idiot.

Can anyone suggest a competent service place for new Crafter (4motion). In Melbourne. I am quite fearful re above reviews but there is no other vehicle to match and I wonder if new factory to build might offer a better product. Am I a dreamer?

I'm sorry, whilst Berwick VW seem to very excellent in the sales area, we haven't had the car long enough to test the service department.
VW Berwick nearly literally killed me, had my car serviced by them every 3 months, they were consistently telling me they had checked/replaced my brake pads, then less than 1 week after the last service I let them do, I put my foot on the brake and the car kept going, horrible metallic sound, had it checked by a third party, all brake calipers were metal on metal, cost $1600 to fix. AVOID!
That's what I was fearful of. Thanks for the input.

Why doesn't VW have a Cherry Red Caddy TSI 220 available any where in Australia? To have to order something four months or more in advance is ridiculous. My dealer in Hervey Bay couldn't even show me a metal sample of the colour. You're colour range on the face book features Cherry Red. I'm very disappointed. All that is available in Queensland I've been told is the Caddy TSI 220 auto petrol is black, silver or white.

We bought a petrol VW Tiguan model 2009 with 106000 km from a dealer near Liverpool. From the day they sold it we had no end of problems and it keeps going into safety mode despite numerous repairs. They would not fix it properly to take it back. This has been going on for 2 years now and enough is enough. I look forward to expert advice. Any ideas?

You need to bite the bullet and get rid of it, allalrernatively you can go to the CEO and request intervention.
I have lodged a claim with VCAT for unconscionable conduct as they don't want to respond to my queries or own up the failures of their staff
We are trying to get rid of it but on that day it went into Safety mode again and they returned it!
