Can't expect it to not leak....?
After second use noticed it was leaking on a join next to the compressor. So when I got home, I put it on the bench (not plugged in) put about 30mm of water in the bottom, checked it the next day and water had leaked out. So I took it in to the Dometic factory Varsity Lakes. They said its not meant to have water in it and to expect it to leak?? So you buy a $100 esky and expect it not to leak but buy one for $1400 an expect a leak? So if you accidentally have water just above the join which is about 20 mm from the bottom it will leak. Great product..!!

Unreliable fridge - terrible customer service
Fridge gets down to temp then turns off ( like it should ). Then once it comes to restart, if the input voltage is about 12.1v, it will not restart - despite the battery monitor being set to low, with a cut out voltage of 10.1v and a restart voltage of 11.1. Service agent couldn’t find a fault, Waeco don’t return emails and BCF are washing their hands of it ( not that they have ever been any help because I had to deliver it to the service agent ). Cannot find any schematics for the power circuits so I can try and repair it myself. I’ve had this problem for at least 2 years and it’s been to the repairer twice since I bought it.
I don’t know what my next fridge will be, but it won’t be a Waeco and it won’t be from BCF.

Waeco 12volt Fridges...not designed to last
Disappointed that this Waeco fridge only lasted 3 years, paid $1,399.
Very little use, now the fridge doesn’t get cold...nobody seems keen to even look at it or repair it. Service people said go & buy a new fridge.
I have left phone messages & emailed Waeco regarding the faulty fridge...still waiting for a reply!

Rubbish fridge rubbish customer service
Bought this fridge just over a year ago to use in our truck, returned today as it didn't work anymore, wouldn't offer us a loan fridge and told us fridge would not be repaired for six weeks, so do yourselves a favor and buy an Engel as I just did.

Never let me down
Had it for almost 4 years (CFX 65). Used daily for work, camping and at home via 240v when the wife goes OTT with the shopping. Love it, absolutely one of my best purchases, worth it's worth in gold.
At the time the purchase felt lik a gamble but geez, that gamble's paid off.

Great quality portable fridge for camping and home use
Fantastic quality Waeco fridge by Donetic. We have had ours running non stop for 15 months and it has never skipped a beat. Large interior with split centre to make it a dual zone fridge. You can take the separator out and make it in to a single fridge or freezer depending on your needs at the time. Or simply drop the separator back in to take advantage of both worlds at the same time. I purchased a third party thermometre from a kitchen supplies shop to check the real temperature of the fridge and it was exactly what I set the fridge at. Great reliable and quiet camping or home use fridge.

Don't buy one of these fridges useless
We have had our fridge for 4 days now and wish I had never seen it, it really is inconsistent, you can regulate the fridge section at all, some things are too warm others too cold, frozen milk, meat that is not cold enough one day and too cold the next, I'm getting rid of mine .
It's not safe if you can't control the temp setting of the fridge

Our Waeco CFX65DZ
I would like to hear if anybody else have a rattle around the compressor while traveling, this is our second fridge they replaced the first for the same reason. We live in our caravan and the fridge travels in our 100 series Toyota and gets really bad on dirt roads. Our fridge freezer is a Waeco CFX65 DZ. other than the rattle its a great fridge..

CFX 65DZ
I just bought one of these. Its a cracking bit of kit. After first power on it reached its rec -15 c in about 20 minutes. The unit comes with inserted baskets. If you use the baskets then the top and bottom diver holes don't get blocked and cool air is allowed to circulate. It is designed that way. If for example you remove the baskets and cram it full with stuff then the circulation holes wont be able to work as designed. I put some 2 liter bottles and some cans of beer and a few frozen stuff in the freezer. Overnight the stuff was cold in the fridge compartment. It works as per design and purpose. I will be field testing it this weekend. Will let you know how it performs.

Waeco Dual Zone is just that.
We bought the Waeco CFX-65DZ for use in conjunction with the fridge in our caravan while touring. It sits in the back of our Isuzu D Max and connected to our Ark Corp ArkPak. We had the Waeco plugged in inside the house for a couple of days to begin with and gradually loaded it with the required frozen and cold foods that we would be touring with. I set the freezer temp to -15*C as per the manual and the fridge worked as I had expected it to. The ambient temperature was in the high 20s to 30*C and the fridge kept its cool very well. If running ...Read more
off the ArkPak only, it would drain the battery in 2.5 days. As we were driving most days the ArkPak was continually being charged and when we stopped for longer I plugged the ArkPak into the 240Volt mains power with the Waeco feeding off it. I can recommend the Waeco CFX-65DZ as the frozen goods remained well frozen at -15*C, the dairy section remained at approx. 5*C and the cool side was at around 9-10*C so that the lettuce etc was not cold affected as can happen in caravan fridges. I know these temperatures as I have a digital dual zone temperature gauge that I use to keep tabs on what the fridge is doing. Ease of temperature setting. Quiet. Economical. Fast to reach set temperature.Similar opinion? Write a review on ieatwords.com.au!

Love it
We have just completed a 9 week trip. We went up the centre to Darwin, across the Kimberley's to Broome, down to Perth and back across the Nullabor to Melbourne. During this time we had all weather conditions from hot, hot and humid to freezing cold. The waeco worked really well in all these conditions. The food in the freezer stayed frozen, the drinks in the fridge section were always nice and cold and the dairy section was fantastic for eggs, margarine, fruit and vegetables. For the first time ever we were able to use a whole lettuce before it either froze or went brown. We had read mixed reviews before buying the 65DZ but have to say that we are very happy with our purchase.
The dual zone worked very well. Dairy section was great.

Worst design ever
The new cfx65dz works as well as my busted gear up fridge
What they have done is put a small freezer in a big esky doesn't wrk
The freezer is used to cool fridge works well as long as you don't put any thing in it
Food blocks bottom holes which r ment to cool fridge
Bad design lid on freezer top covers top holes which r also ment to let cool air past
Hold down set button a hole set of different displays come up which aren't ment to
All you get for your buck is 20 ltr freezer that takes all day to get cold an 45 ltr dairy section as ...Read more
fridge does not work refer above.told by waeco to run it at -15c an fridge should eventually get down to 5degc.probably does as long as you don't put food in freezer don't open it up at all.just so pissed off not being able to get a coldie .waeco deny its a design fault.note this is a dual zone I'm sure cfx65 is better as cooling compartment is twice the size Air flowat front for better ventilation Real bad warranty service simply doesn't do what it's ment to should be pulled off market purchased in may 2013Similar opinion?
