Best fridge ever (Hot tip on air flow for your fridge in camper)
Got a 95l and a smaller cfx in the 4x4 and they just tick away and use FA power. In my camper I had trouble with the 95 not getting to temp on the freezer side so put a fan in the fridge draw/ box to suck the heat out and pull cold air in. It made all the difrance(picture below, it's a bit rough but I done it out bush with bits I had ) Also the tie downs over the vents were restricting air flow so I cable tied them for better air flow and now uses even less power. Bloody top fridges and I use both on a weekly basis.about 7 months in and still r...Read more
unning good in the top end of Queensland 40 degree days with 80% humidity it does it easy if it's full on -19 freezer and fridge on 3 both loaded up with food. On 12v pulling between 4 to 6 amps. Awsome fridge and in a off road van that actually spends loads of its time off the bituman.Purchased in July 2021 at Freddy's fishing and outdoor Cairns Qld for $1,600.00.

Camping game changer
Used this fridge for all of our food whilst camping for a week. Completely avoided the soggy wet food in a defrosted esky. Only wish the stands were able to hold the weight of the 95l fridge.
Purchased in December 2021 at BCF Physical Store for $1,200.00.

Find out how Dometic CFX 95DZW (94.5L) compares to other Portable Fridges / Freezers
Know better, choose better.
DOMETIC CFX 95DZ2
We bought one of these about 2 1/2 years ago. They were new out and the concept of separate fridge/freezer appealed to us. We were going across the Simpson Desert and needed a bigger unit. The extra current draw didn't worry us as we knew we would be travelling most of the time. and had a 120 watt solar panel on the roof rack. Alas, no sooner we bought it problems with temperatures fluctuating started.
We took it straight back and they gave us a new replacement. Fine!! About 2 months later it simply packed it in. Just as well we were on a trial...Read more

Very disappointed with both product and support
Purchased in August 2017 for our camper.
Initially seemed to work ok however over time started to struggle to keep both compartments cooler than 5 degrees. Spoke to Dometic and they suggested that the cig lighter plug was to blame (why supply this sort of plug if it is not sufficient has me beat) so I changed the plug over to an Anderson plug. Seemed to improve slightly.
Keeping in mind is for camping was not used for several months so was stored with lids removed in order to keep the inside clean and dry, plugged into 240v to pre cool ...Read more
for next trip and could not get it below 8 degrees inside our house. Called Dometic again, they referred me to a local "agent" who took several days to get hold of only to be told to leave it on his veranda and he would get to it when he could. Explained to him it was worth nearly $2k and if it went missing it would be his responsibility, he laughed and told me he has a camera to "protect" it Called Dometic back, they sent me to an agent in Clayton where it has now been sitting for the last 6 weeks un fixed, un diagnosed. Meanwhile we have had to go out and buy a new unit for our trip as clearly this one will not be working.2 comments
Update
Called the "repairer" again on Monday (as they do not seem to have the ability to call me for updates) and they have advised they can not find what is causing the issue. Asked about the pressures, "not yet been tested"

Hi, I have the cfx95dzw. Both compressors work on 240v, on 12v only one works, the other I can hear it kick in but then it stops. I put it in emergency mode and both worked, switched back to 240v and both run simultaneously.
