CFX 95DZW (94.5L)

Hi, I have the cfx95dzw. Both compressors work on 240v, on 12v only one works, the other I can hear it kick in but then it stops. I put it in emergency mode and both worked, switched back to 240v and both run simultaneously.

Hi Jessica, yeah, sounds like the same problem we had with the first one. Before you take it back, check voltage level at the plug. Should be12.7v-13.5v or there about. They will want to know this just to try and put the blame on someone else. These are only fridge/freezers the same as your house fridge and should work exactly the same. If you get the run around just threaten them with the Ombudsman.
Best of luck

Must be something faulty. I can have mine on 4 and -10 and runs and sits fine on 240 or 12v. I get some fluctuation, but generally only a couple of degrees.

red warning light continuously flashing as soon as I power up the unit on 12v or 240v or 24v,compressor does not try to start.full power going into controller.Unit will run in override for maybe 5-10 min then red light stops flashing at that time I can switch back to normal operation.Fridge continues to work perfectly,it cycles on and off as it should for a hour or so then faults out again. Thats that untill I put it back in override and process repeats itself. Any ideas?

Sounds like the thermister may be faulty, its job is to send temp back to control curcuits which control when to run and how long . its a job for the service guys and may only require the termo replacing but be prepared for the cost (if out of warranty ) of replacing the circuit board .

Do the 12v leads differ between models? I know the plug is the same but I notice on advertising it says the lead is suitable for a 60l but not a 95l and visa-versa.

When I bought a second lead there were different lengths so I bought the shortest.

There is a possibility that there may be a higher rated fuse in the 95 cable so the main difference as long as plug at fridge is same is probably the fuse.

Hi, I have a DZ95 it’s been great but we are about to leave on a trip and have had the fridge cooling down for a few hours on the 12v batteries and instead of keeping the batteries charged why I have the fridge running I plugged in the mains and the compressor stopped but all switches and lights are on and working?

1 answer
Rod
Rod

This happens to me every time when the compressor is running on 12v at time of applying 240v. I can't tell you exactly why it happens but it appears normal. The fridge still continues to work and eventually the compressor will start again. Only suggestion I have is that when the 240v is applied is it checks with the new power applied where the fridge is in cooling. I notice often that only one compartment is being cooled at anytime. I also notice that on 240v, once the compressor restarts, that both compartments cool a lot quicker even though still running alternate.
