You know how that sometimes a product comes along that it is sooooo bad that you actually need to take off your hat, bow your head and actually marvel at the absolute incompetence of a company that, despite it's product's total lack of ability, decided to release it to the market anyway. Sometimes you wonder whether some department has a brilliant sense of humour and the joke is on us, or if they are absolutely incompetent.
Waterco excels in the incompetent department.
Every aspect of this cleaner defies the definition of 'cleaner'

Read moreLet me explain: Design: - The concept of a cleaner should be to 'clean'. This means that it needs to be able to collect all kinds of foreign objects from the bottom and sides of a pool, Including but not limited to, leaves, all sorts of tree debris, dirt, and flock, (from when you flock the pool to collect the tiny particles in suspension together to settle to the bottom of the pool). You know what, this cleaner collects them! - However the internal collection bag has 2 key design features that makes this collection pointless. It has 4 holes, 5mm in diameter, that Waterco claim are 'flow holes' - which means that anything that you wish to collect smaller than 5mm will exit the collection bag back into the pool - great work guys, I haven't found sand, dirt, or flock larger than 5mm yes, so useless there. The other feature of the collection bag is that it is held in place as a 'snug fit' which means, that if by any luck it collects items larger than 5mm and they fill the bag, eventually the bag detaches from the frame, and all the debris is pumped into the inside of the machine. Next they have a 'kinkless power cord'. If they understood the concept of 'kinkless' they could have had a better chance of success here. However the cord looks like you are trying to untangle a ball of string every time you need to take it out of the pool. Allow at least 10 min to do this each time you pull your cleaner out, or if you forget, when you put it back in! :) Service: - The response to my clearly articulated complaint above was, that my pool was too dirty for the cleaner to work. (they never saw my pool) In effect if you want a $1500 pool cleaner to use after you have cleaned your pool, to collect the one or two leaves on the bottom of the pool, then this is the cleaner for you. If, however, you want it to 'clean' the pool, buy a scuba tank, and dust pan and brush, as it will be more effective. The service is so bad, they are beyond useless. Any spare part is more expensive than the budget deficit of a large African country. Additionally any issue takes longer to diagnose than the dinosaurs did to evolve. Then, if anything is wrong - it's your fault. They obviously don't subscribe to the 'customer is always right' method of customer service. They don't even subscribe to the 'customer could be right maybe' method of customer service. They subscribe to 'the customer is never right, so don't bother listening to them' method of customer service. It appears to be working for them, as they are having less customers complain to them, they just complain online instead. Management: - You know sometimes when you have a bad experience with a company, if you are optimistic, you can put it down to the person you were dealing with was having a bad day. No Waterco, have obviously taken a course in bad product and customer service, and decided to make it the company culture. I thought the product and service was bad. At least the service technician admitted that the product was rubbish and everyone complained about them - quite refreshing in the grand scheme of things. However management deny all failings, they even state that: 'no you are the first customer to complain about this cleaner, we have never had returns' arrrrrgghhhhhhhh You know what this cleaner shouldn't even get 1 star, the ieatwords website fails in that you can't leave zero stars So if you want a cleaner to wander about your pool after you have cleaned it then this is the 'cleaner' for you. If however you want a pool cleaner - buy anything else. oh and if you have bought one, don't take it in for repairs just throw it out and get yourself waterboarded, trust me it's less painless!
Purchased in for $1,500.

This is the most rubbish pool clearer ever to be invented.
Pity you can't click less than 1 star - it is not worth of a star - 1 star is like saying - could try harder. This cleaner is so useless that is is a star vacuum!
I have had this cleaner for 3 seasons, and it has never been useful
Firstly the internal filter bag has large 'flow' holes in it so much of the waste is in the cleaner body and pours back into the pool once you lift it out
Secondly it only 'turns' one direction so the cable gets so badly tangled you have to spend ages untangling it after each use

We bought it online and it lasted for almost exactly two years, it broke down almost exactly just after the warranty expired by a few weeks.s irrespective of that we had received the correct product two weeks late. The inspection for out of warranty repair cost us extra and the cost of repair of was more than half the original cost. It was somewhat good for us who were new to pool robots but I will be looking at alternative models for sure. But overal it did do its job but was a bit noisy

Whatever you do stay clear of this company. I first purchased it and just outside the warranty it stopped working. Stupidly purchased another one and this time it broke down inside the warranty period. I spoke to Pool and Spa Warehouse and they finally had someone come to collect it to repair it in which they replaced the main power unit with a brand new one which only lasted 4 weeks before it broke down again. I then contacted Pool and Spa Warehouse only for them to tell me that it is now outside of the warranty and Waterco will not cover it. I then had to contact Waterco and explain it to them in which they said they would get back in contact with me in which I am still waiting....would not recommend them at all.

Owned it for nearly 2 years of which it’s been back at the store I purchased it from for more than 13 months of that time
The store always says no parts and refuse to give me a replacement unit or refund so I’m pretty much $1500 out of pocket and looking for another pool cleaner
Has been sent back for repairs 3 times works well for a week or so then just rocks back and forward in one part of the pool so I got one clean line and the rest unclean

Purchased this unit with great hopes but less than 6 month after purchase needed reprogramming - just did a back roller dance on the spot.
6months later had it back in the factory for same proble.
Then the impeller blade broke twice in 2 months ( first time cost $300 ) next time another $200. Then the it just stopped working - another $300 for repair then the umbilical broke. ( They wanted to charge me ) but i refused. Last week after being off and out of the water over wintertime i turned it on - back to doing a back shuffle/ front shuffle / roller dance on the spot. Should I bother repairing it?
Indeed it would be a great product if it worked,, but It's a dud..

We thought this was scared of the deep end when new as it would only clean in circles at the shallow end.
Took it back to dealer who said they are having lots of trouble with these. Got it reprogrammed. Worked for a while now just goes back and forth like a lunatic rocking in their chair. Crap. Crap. Crap.

i purchased this machine as recommended by my poolguy.it worked alright to beginwith.i found it a constant battle detangling the cord and the bag hard to clean.we were lucky our pool did not get too dirty as no trees about, therefore did not have to use it alot.then it died after maybe max 40 to50 runs in the pool.it is now 3 wks in the shop and no answers about what is wrong i think i need to find a better product.not a cheap problem.
Absolute rubbish, only worked well for 3 months and after than started to fall apart - they also do not honour their warranties and parts are very costly.
Just purchased a new cord and now the unit killed it self !!
Have decided to chuck it in the bin !!

I just wanted to vent my frustration at the quality of this pool cleaner and the ridiculas cost of spare parts. 2nd repair in 4 months unit is 18 months old now.
The cost of a power cord $370 yes just the power cord, $370 do not buy one they are a con, the pricing of parts should be illegal... I am now buying a "I Cleaner 120" because they list the cost of all there parts on line and they are cheap. Approx one tenth the cost of parts from WARECO for the Admiral
Expensive to repair

The working of the machine is ok .As for there claims of kink resistant hose it is absolute rubbish 3 hour cycle results in 30 minutes of frustration to de kink the hose. Complained to supplier rain wise but no resulting phone call from the distributor.I would like to hear if anybody else has had this problem
I'm sorry to say, but a kinking cord is probably going to be the least of your problems. My machine was trouble free for 9 months but then the miserly 1 year warranty ran out. I paid $1350 for a machi...
