Terrible product. Terrible customer aervice
I'm in the same boat. I bought mine around February 2018 through Purater.com . Find out about the products need implement and waterlovers stop the production . I emailed them and got promise for a voucher to purchase a new model when it come out in August 2022. Two months after that, mine had the same problem like everyone else's . Now, I emailed waterlovers 3 times about honoring the voucher, no response! And of course forget about Purater. I emailed, called no response at the beginning when they didn't even ship me the receipt with the package. I have to get it through PayPal!
Purchased in February 2021 for $399.99.

Same defects, why not make it better
I have the same issue as most, turn on and after 10 seconds it beeps and shuts down with flashing light. It’s the boiler that goes out, can not even get parts for this unit, it is not a good investment, expensive yard art, the reason no one looks at emails is they are busy looking at profit margins, so sad, anyone reading these reviews should buy a reputable distiller from a reputable company. This company sells to online dealers and wont honor warranty unless you bought unit directly from them, almost a scam if you ask me.

ed every faulty unit that was purchased through us and would of course do the same with you if you directly purchased with us. We can not honour a warranty for an item that was not purchased from us unfortunately.

Second one, first one broke twice under warranty no customer service help. Miserable in Miami Beach Florida USA.
I bought in USA. I had a two year warranty it is still under warranty. It broke once and I paid more shipping and it was the unit that you put water in. A few months later the stainless steel lid came apart. It is hanging. I have where I bought it they told me to contact Australia. They gave me the run around and I have a lid that burnt me with steam. I need help from Manufacturer. Second failure in less than a year. I bought a second one as I figured I had a lemon the design and concept is brilliant but reliability and customer service is lacking. Australia help me and provide customer service. Help me please. So far Australia said they couldn’t since I didn’t buy it in Australia.

We were selling these distillers and are honoring our warranty terms and conditions, however if you purchased it from them they will be honoring the warranty. We can not honor a warranty for an item that was not purchased from us unfortunately. I am very sorry that you have had such an unfortunate experience. If you have purchased through Water Lovers Direct they are providing full refunds for faulty distillers also (like us). Majorly Disappointing
I purchased in Feb 2018. Boiler broke almost immediately. Once replaced, it stopped working just outside the warranty period. When you start it, stops in about 10 seconds- Very disappointing.

Great whilst worked, broke just beyond warranty.
Purchased march 2018, received fairly regular usage then broke just outside of warranty period.
Now when you start it, it stops within around 10s.
Quite disappointing as was an expensive upfront cost and you expect such an item to last more than one year to balance that out.
Purchased in March 2021 for $529.00.

unit stopped working suddenly
I loved the unit while it worked. I didn't use it much this summer as it gives off a decent amount of heat.
so I used it about 5 months off and on. It starts and stops about 10 seconds after pressing the button.
Its an expensive item if you factor in how short it lasts.
I gave it a 2 as I liked it before it broke.
Getting in touch with the manufacturer is difficult, if you're having a problem.
They respond right away if its inquiries about a purchase.
I should also note that Purator lists it as having many on hand,then you order only to find out it will be over a month to receive the unit.
Buy a different unit from a reputable source,amazon stands behind products .

Broke within 6 months of use
It was working great for 6 months and now is non-functional due to a defective sensor. The unit is still under warranty, but can't get any help from the manufacturer to fix it. I have called them and left messages 5 times, emailed them separately 4 times over the last 2 months since the unit stopped functioning and no response.

UPDATE: I was able to get a refund from the manufacturer. Contact [email protected] if your distiller breaks down. I do not recommend buying one of these but they at least had the integrity to refund my money.
Buyer beware! I bought this distiller from Purator and it worked for three months and now just shuts off. That is some very expensive distilled water! Purator would not help at all and the manufacturer does not respond to my emails. So their warranty is useless. Do not buy this product!

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY..
This unit worked for about 8 months and then failed just as all of the other reviews on this site and other sites online. The unit is under warranty but this means nothing if the company just ignores your emails and phone calls. This company doesn't even make an attempt to help someone who has helped them out by buying their product. Stay away from this as it will just be a giant paperweight before warranty is up. I only gave it one star as it's not possible to give it less..

Don’t buy this item, it’s not worth the price, I figure something like this should cost about $150. If it did work.

Good appealing design, function and convenience... only while it lasts.
The distiller was used daily for about 5 months (purchased in January 2018), until the distilling/heating cycle ceased to function. Also, cracks in the plastic appeared at some point, around the metal outlet above the filter tray (due to normal heat produced by the distiller). If there were more of a gap between the filter and the outlet, or if the metal were not in direct contact with the surrounding plastic, this may not have happened. This demonstrates limited testing of the product.

Gets louder by the day and finally broke in 7 months.
I noticed the fan gets louder by the day and sounds like its not running as smooth. Approx. 7 months later it stops working properly. Some of the evaporation collects directly above the water tank on the left hand side. 70% of the water make it to the glass jug and 30% end up all over the counter and floor.

zing why the original lid cracked in several different place, I realized why this is a poorly made product. The problem did not start with the lid. The steam, for some reason would get trapped under the left side (right above the boiler tank), only 75% of the water would pass through to the water jar. The water that does not pass through ends up on my counter, all over the distiller, and inside the plastic lid. Now imaging the lid heating up over and over with water inside creating tremendous pressure. That pressure will shatter the plastic lid. To make matters worse, they customer service is non- responsive. First time I called in about the issue the rep told me that the replacement part was already order. I was like WOW! that was fantastic service, they read my review and took action immediately. I was told I should receive the parts within 10 business days. Two weeks later I called to follow up, because I did not receive the part. This time the rep told me that there was no such order for the replacement part and that he would have to order it and charge me $14.95 for the shipping cost. Fine, no problem, I just wanted my unit to work again. I called 3 days ago and it went straight to the answering machine, so I left my name and phone number as instructed. I called again today to leave my name and number. I should of bought from a company that I know I could trust to take care of me when their products are defective. The instructions were easy to follow and within a few mins it was whirring away on my benchtop. It's been 4 months now and I use it daily without any problems. I fill to about 1 cm below the fill line and it takes just under 3 hours and leaves about a 1/4 cup of yellow liquid residue in the container (fluoride and other minerals etc it removed). At first there was a metallic taste to the distilled water but after adding 1 ml of the "Sea M.D. Mineral Drops" to the 3 ltrs of freshly distilled water it produces, I noticed that taste is now gone....Read more
The water is beautiful, like rainwater. All my family and friends notice the disgusting chlorine/fluoride smell and taste is gone. Cleaning is simple as I rinse the unit and wipe over the inside with a cotton cloth after each use. I use the "Distiller Cleaner" when the residue builds up and only once had to soak it twice in a row and the unit comes up like new again afterwards. The before and after purchasing customer service is excellent. I highly recommend this to anyone who is thinking of buying a distiller. It's well worth every dollar I spent on it. I have had this product (2800) purchased from H20 Labs, almost a year ago but now the “one touch” start operation cuts off the unit about 10 seconds after pressing it. The blue start light flashes for a few seconds then the unit cuts off. I spoke to a representative from H2O Labs months ago and she told me I should call a plumber repair. ??? I want my money refunded but now they won’t answer my calls or emails. I’m so sick of this company and the manufacturer for making this defective product and recommend that no one purchases this product.

This is exactly what happened with mine only just 6 months after receiving it. Very frustrating and disappointing after all the hours of research I did on these machines...what a sad investment of our money. How can we make them accountable?! I've contemplated setting up a website to warn people but then that's more investment of my time and money, just a big loss.
I purchased mine from Purater (the manufacturer) themselves. I should've known something was up when it took over 2 months to ship my order, claiming it was on back order. Yet when I purchased it off of their website it showed they had thousands of units in stock making people believe they had a great product that was trustworthy. The owner also encouraged me to purchase cleaning solution (which is basic citric acid that you can buy 1 lb. of it for $7 on Amazon) plus filters for another $50 + shipping which he said he would credit me for upon shipping my unit since he was adding it to my distiller order and he never did! This company has ZERO integrity.
Contact [email protected] for a refund. A plumber cannot fix it. It is a faulty design.
